The hotel is situated on the edge of the historic quarter of Montlucon. It is an easy walk around the area to view the half timbered houses etc. Our thanks to the young lady on reception was extremely helpful and friendly. We had a problem where the curtain was broken, but we were swiftly given another room, which was very clean and tidy, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast area was quite spacious and overlooked the rivetside. Breakfast consisted of breads, croissants, chocolate au pain, cereals, jams, scrambled and boiled eggs, together with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juices. Thoroughly recommended.

Nous avons passé 3 nuits à l'hôtel en famille, dans 2 chambres différentes, avec enfant, ado et adultes. Nous avons réservé ces chambres suite à la bonne image que leur site internet évoquait. Les chambres nous paraissent de qualité, modernes... Une grosses déception en arrivant ! L'accueil est effectivement accueillante, joliment décorée. Nous avons été accueillis par une dame agréable. 1ere surprise : pas d'ascenseur ! Quand on arrive avec pas mal de valises, pas très pratique de monter 3 étages par les escaliers ! L'arrivée dans les chambres nous a définitivement déçu ... Nous avons constaté une salle de bain sale, je dirais même TRÈS sale! Une douche pleine de moisissures, des traces suspectes, un WC pas propre, des traces au sol qu'on essaye d'éviter de marcher dessus à chaque passage dans la chambre. Cerise sur le gâteau, nous avons réservé 2 chambres pour 3 personnes chacune (nous avions eu la confirmation par mail). Une des 2 chambres n'était dotée que d'un lit double. Après être aller demander des explications car mon ado se retrouvait sans lit, la réceptionniste s'est déchargée en nous disant que nous avions réservé par Booking donc elle se déchargeait de toute responsabilité...par très simple quand on a fait 4h de toute et qu'on veut seulement dormir ! Nous avons été dans l'obligation d'aller acheter un matelas gonflable ! Je trouve cette situation inadmissible ! Il a fallut quémander une couette, une serviette à toilette... Le 1er soir, nous nous sommes fait un café soluble dans la chambre. Le l'an demain...plus de café ! Ce n'est offert que le 1er soir! La nuit s'est ensuite pas trop mal passée. Le chauffage fonctionnait, les lits sont convenables. La télé et la wifi fonctionnaient bien. Point très positif : le petit déjeuner. Alors là, malgré les 10 euros par personne pour le petit déjeuner, ce qui nous paraissait un peu cher, nous avons été agréablement surpris. Beaucoup de choix, sucré, salé, tartes... Tout était très bon. Donc j'ai mis 2 étoiles pour uniquement le petit déjeuner mais franchement je ne conseillerai pas cet hôtel.

Room 48 in the DRC. Not noiseless. Noise of cars running on the road and outdoor conversations are all understandable. Clean room but very fresh. But it is cheap. TV that is lighting alone at midnight. The window store doesn't work, so we have the outside light (which is always lighted) all night. The litter is very good. There is very small shower room for one person. There is very sympathetic and professional staff
