Selong Selo Resort and Residences

This property had the best view I have ever seen. Set on a high point the view of a beautiful bay with a lovely crescent beach only gets better at night when the shrimp fishermen turn on their lights and you are seeing stars above and below you. The interior of the villa was exceptional as well. Great bed, great pillows, excellent shower and comfy seating inside and large outdoor area with your own private pool. We ordered a lovely meal delivered to our room ( I recommend the coconut mojito ) because we didn’t want to leave it. The next morning we had a huge ( included ) breakfast at the restaurant that was excellent and freshly prepared ( not your usual buffet ). If you are searching for an experience that combines the benefits of a private home with the amenities of a hotel, yet want to be off the beaten track away from other large groups of other tourists, this is for you! Set on a mountaintop amongst lush hills, along a dirt road that winds through rustic local villages, this resort towers over the majestic bay that is home to the famous, family friendly beach, Selong Balanak. We were a family with two young children aged 3 and 5 and we stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. The views were to die for! Both during the day but equally during the night when the stars were out. The kids loved the small dipping pool (supervision is a must). From the moment of airport arrival to drop off, the service was of a very high standard. (The daily dishwashing service was unexpected but appreciated!) Special shout out to Muti at the restaurant who looked after our every need and also Intan who took care of our children one day. One piece of advice, not only for here but across Lombok, is to be very clear in your communication when requesting things, not only because of language differences but also because of cultural differences, eg the concept of veganism is fairly new (and possibly bizarre here?) We had one issue with the hot water running out one day but after reporting it in the afternoon it was already fixed when we got back into the evening. There is a restaurant across the street, a 25m pool, and a gym was well equipped and felt like new. Overall we were very well impressed with the standard of the accommodation. It felt exclusive yet well catered for and we can't wait to come back!!

One of the best holidays I have ever had among hundreds of destinations for getaway. Lombok still remains with a lot of untouched nature. Amongst all, all the staff (Special thanks to Colin) at Selong Selo are super friendly and approachable. I like their personalized approach which made us feel so comfortable. The only regret I have is that we should have stayed a bit longer so we fully appreciate all the things that this beautiful island has to offer. Well, this gives us a reason for our return!

Our stay at Selong Selo in Lombok was truly unforgettable, thanks to the breathtaking views, exceptional attention from the staff—particularly Brad, Tim, Bobbie, and Janu—and the delicious food. Waking up to panoramic vistas of the ocean surrounded by lush greenery was magical, and the staff's genuine care in ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable, with recommendations for activities both in and outside the resort, made our experience uniquely delightful. The food was a highlight on its own, offering a fantastic selection of local and international dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented.

Sensational aspect of the bay. Staff were incredible. Attentive to your every need. Each Villa has an infinity pool and there is also a magnificent common area infinity pool with the most incredible views. The food was sensational with local spices & sauces titillating your taste buds

Not what it used to be !! We stayed at this place after having such a lovely experience previously. However, this stay was very disappointing. We opted for upsell to the 5 BR villa on check-in which looked lovely in the pictures, but were stuck with a villa that stunk of sewerage the whole time! We reported it and to the credit of the villa manager he tried to get the problem fixed but unfortunately the problem remained until we checked out. It is understandable that problems can arise at times, but what was most disappointing is that despite our grievances, all we were offered as compensation was the difference between our original booking and the upsell amount. Management of the resort did not bother to attend to us and would send the villa manager each time even though the problem was not fixed. The ground staff Phian, Abul and our villa manager Juna were nice and attentive and did what they could, but the resort management on this occasion was very poor. This has turned us off returning anytime in the near future which we are sad about. Hopefully management pick up their game and make this place worth it like it used to be.

Stay at 10E Samsara Vills. Best villa with the best staff. Vehicle provided to ferry us between lobby and villa. Upon arrival, we were given drinks for free. Free WiFi is also available in the lobby and villa. The aura restaurant in the lobby serves good food. Desert such as brownie was exceptional. The villa itself was huge and cames with infinity pool, barbacue pit, gym, rooftop 360 view of lombok, pool table, lounge area outside and movie room. Service was excellent. Whenever we encountered a problem, the staff would immediately come and help us. Monkeys sometimes hang out outside our villa which is a great addition. Spa just a walk down from the villa. Selong belanak beach is just 15mins from the villa and the hotel provides free transport for this, the villa is in southern lombok so makes sure you are prepared to stay and enjoy the luxurious villa instead of driving to town daily as the commute is an hour at least. The staff stood at the exit to wave us goodbye which was a nice touch and thoughtful gesture, the staff always helped with a smile.

Amazing experience. High end great villa with amazing view of Selong Balanak beach, infinity pool, all staff were friendly, kind, helpful and always available when need help and transportation. The food was amazing, I was able to try authentic Indonesian food and I really like it Nasi goreng, Nasi balap with spicy sambal are my favorite dish. The place is awesome for rest and relaxation.

The staff was so nice and accommodating. The food and cocktails were impressive and the view from the clubhouse and villas can’t be beat. The prettiest and cleanest beach I’ve ever experienced in Indonesia. Will be back again soon! Thank you!
