A true luxury small hotel. Very cozy. Room is clean. Love the tub. The welcome tea & sugee cake served in the room were nice. As for amenities, its average, could use a better quality of disposable toothbrush & provide slippers for going to the pool. Dining hall has good ambience, breakfast was good & service was personal. Dinner was above average. The pool was clean and dont feel too much clorine. The gym was a bit packed but ok to use when not many guests. There was an unpleasant smell at the dumb bells section, think its from the floor mat at that section. The little local biscuits & sweets at the lobby was a nice touch to let guest try the olden days snacks. The couple spa was fantastic👍🏻. The masseurs were pro.

Location: It's about 15mins walk from Jonker Street. Take Grab for about RM 5 to 7, depends on the timing. Located next to Mahkota Parade, where you can find quite a lot of shops and fast food available there too. If you're taking bus from Singapore, you can alight at this hotel. Service: The staff is friendly and helpful. Cleanliness: it's consider OK to be honest, just a little stain on the table. The lobby looks grand! Others: The TV programme has to be improved. Some of the channels are dark / mute. Room is spacious, and even have a small living room at the entrance.

This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming when we were check in with a complimentary cookies, when we got into the room we realised that the fridge wasn't working, we let housekeeping and they immediately changed a new fridge for us. the room was nice and spacious the lights are working fine however the sofa a a little old ed stained.the body foam that they provide probably only can last a day and you are need to ask the housekeeping refill it if staying more then a day . the breakfast is great although we could get a clean table and had to ask the waiter to clean the table for us before we could go and get the food. overall we love the bed the soft pillow and it was a good stay .

cute budget hotel. Was here to celebrate my wife birthday. We love the ambiance and the hotel hospitality. The hotel was in Jonker road. Just walk around the road and can reach back to hotel when we tired. The only drawbacks is the parking is a lil bit far around 800m from hotel. The breakfast is basic, but we don't care as there are other food that we can enjoy. Overall experience we would love to visit the place again

Pros 1. Located in the center of Jonker Street, where all the fun begins. The hotel is at the back of this busy street away from the noise of the bars at night. 2. There are hot and cold showers. 3. There are drinks to greet you. 4. The environment is very clean. 5. WiFi is fast. 6. The staff are friendly and attentive. 7. They have basements. 8. There is a halal restaurant (Le Que) nearby. Cons 1. The room is too small even for us two petite women. 2. The cowboys that separate the room and the bathroom are at least my favorite, although the design is very unique, it is difficult to hear the call and cannot scent the whole room. 3. Parking spaces are limited (only 2-3 spots at a time). 4. The room is too small for disabled people in wheelchairs.

The whole mansion was like a mini museum itself (seems like it’s indeed the case with the boutique hotels across the town. The place was spotless clean. They let us check in earlier and even gave us an upgrade (which was very appreciated!) with a lovely four poster bed and spacious open plan bathroom but has 2 sliding divider doors (maybe some conservative people would find it a little shy to do their business-not like we’re complaining! We loved it!) Bathroom had a long table so you could put all your stuffs.. It could get a little noisy when people were passing by or kids running around since the wall were rather thin but it couldn’t be helped with the fact that the mansion were so old and it definitely didn’t stop us from enjoying the place to our heart content! staffs were all friendly and nice and location were perfect with a lot of restaurants and museums nearby and It’s only an alley away from jonker street which could be noisy and dirty with the weekend night market! Booking ahead is recommended especially if you’re traveling during the weekend since it get booked out very fast! A lot of good food nearby too. Try the restaurant few houses up the road (from courtyard turn left) name [peranakan mansion 僑生府) their peranakan food was to die for! We had the best cendol in Malacca there (we tried cendol in a lot of places!) and the restaurant next door [the baboon house] had good burgers and omelette. Super recommend the two places!

Stayed here for two nights. It has a great location close to Jonker Walk, but a little away from it so it's pretty quiet. The room itself is fine, on the functional side and comfortable enough. It was, on reflection, quite pricey for what it was, but did the job. On the plus side was a genuine King Bed, an effective AC unit and a mini fridge (sadly not as common in other Malaysian hotels as I'd hoped). The shower and bathroom were decent. Very steep stairs climbing up to the room, not easy to manhandle a heavy suitcase. Location is a 5 min walk from Casa Del Rio - if you're coming to/from Singapore, many coaches drop/collect from Casa Del Rio negating a need to go to Melaka Sentral. One thing to note about Melaka - finding places open for breakfast is quite difficult. This hotel didn't appear to have a breakfast option, and most cafes don't open till 10am. There are a couple open earlier, but they're not obvious.

Stayed here because we wanted to stay in a heritage hotel. We were not disappointed! Every member of staff had a wealth of knowledge about Malaysian history, the area and the building. This hotel was in a fantastic location in the heart of Melaka - so it was very convenient to come in and out of the hotel constantly in between shops and restaurants. The decor in the hotel is very nice and has lots of character with nice paintings etc. We stayed in the Kapital room on ground floor which was very large and bathroom was also large and bed was very comfortable. The free snacks and drinks was also a nice touch. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was OK, just need to get there earlier so that when they make the food it is warm. The staff were super friendly and helpful - and also organised transport to next destination at a very reasonable price - the staff were perfect. The cleanliness was excellent. The hotel rooms itself were very quiet - the only annoyance was people in the carpark at the back which was just outside our room late at night constantly letting off fireworks - ideally security should be able to get them to go away considering it is illegal to let off fireworks. The other issue in the room was the power kept disconnecting and connecting making a loud noise each time and meaning one needed to manually put the air conditioning back on each time which is OK during the day but not at night - this may have been a one off issue. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Melaka - we would probably stay in a different room though as there are many other options available. It is good value for money, fantastic location, fantastic staff, very comfortable and convenient.

I am staying in Johor Bahru and my dad's home town is in Malacca.I stayed at Wayfarer with my parents for 2 days 1 night in conjunction with All Souls Day.I really loved the room very much!It is so oriental,clean,cosy,nice&with a beautiful balcony room.Free wifi is provided as well.Most importanty,the location of the guest house is in the heart of town.What a great location!We could walk around so easily without having to drive our car around the town area.What I like most about Wayfarer is that,it is so close to Jonker Walk,Jonker Street and the Christ church area.Opposite of my balcony room,I can see the St.Xavier's church and the Malacca river with the river cruise boats passing by all the time.I really can't forget my stay at Wayfarer.I truly recommend people to come and stay at Wayfarer!They won't regret it and the price of the rooms are so cheap and reasonable.The toilets are absolutely clean and the management provides hand wash and shower foams for the guests to use.The room that I stayed in also has a bath tub.Last but not least,Wayfarer has given me and my family a very good and friendly service.I will never ever forget my stay at Wayfarer.I will definately come back to Wayfarer to stay again when there is another chance and another good opportunity.So,I would like to wish the management of Wayfarer and their immediate families all the best and good luck in their tourism business and also all the best in their future undertakings!Thank you very much Wayfarer for letting me and my family have a really sweet,fun and lovely stay.We managed to make good memories at Wayfarer and in Malacca.I LOVE WAYFARER SO SO MUCH!
