Truly a superb hotel, with a reception open 24/7.
The Charlemagne hotel is very quiet and the room has an airlock, separates the front door with a second door, which isolates all external noise (even if there ever was any :)).
The room is very clean and has a kettle with an assortment of teas, coffees, milk and sugars.
We didn't have breakfast, but it looked very promising.
The wifi is OK and the T1 tram stop is in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Many amenities within 100m, supermarket (open until midnight), bars, fast food restaurants, organic bakery (right opposite), Place Bellecour 15 minutes walk, Brasserie Georges (5 minutes walk), Perrache train station (5 minutes too). This hotel is top notch!
The only slight negative point was that we were hoping for a bathtub which had been announced in the room designation. We had a shower.
We only stayed one night, so we didn't go back to reception to change a room with a bath, but given the hotel, I think it would have been possible.
We will come back with pleasure and you can go there without blinking.
