Without a doubt, the professional and charming staff helped a lot with the attention provided, and a service always above expectations. The facilities are impressive, nothing more beautiful than the central patio with the small pond and the garden, as well as the large common pool area, a 10! The breakfast has a high quality, a lot of variety on offer and they are always willing to prepare a more filling dish for you. The toast with avocado and poached egg is recommended, a great way to start the day. We found the room we were assigned to be one of the best in the hotel, with several separate spaces and a private pool. To stay here many more days. They should improve the Wi-Fi connection in that area of ​​the hotel, given that we were barely able to connect in the room during the days we stayed. My partner and I had a wonderful time at Amantaka in December this year. The whole city has just bounced back from the pandemic so I had a little expectation when coming to Luang Prabang this year. However, everything at the resort was exceptional, from the moment we were greeted at the airport, to when we were warmly greeted by the members of staff as we arrive at the moment, and when we left the resort. The property was converted from a historic building but was very well maintained. It has a classic and subtle charm and feels very cosy and intimate. Don't forget to use the Bath House that with a private pool, steamed room and sauna. Thank you Amantaka team for exceptional hospitality and I will be back again!

It was so comfortable entering the room, with Southeast Asian wooden interiors and comfortable bedding. The staff were lovely and always greeted you with a smile. The pool area and gardens were well maintained. The rooms were a little dated and although nothing wrong with them I think I would opt to stay in one of the small hotels or villas along the nam khan next time rather than this little extra out of the centre. Breakfast choices were good with a nice non sugary muesli, milk & yoghurt, nice cafe latte and an egg station plus toast, croissants and Asia stir-fry dishes. They had free bikes you could use, although I didn't see any helmets. As noted, for what we paid it was 'ok'.

Omg this hotel was incredible. We were with a group of 18 and were staying 2 nights. Check in went very smooth. The owners/workers were absolute Gems! Staff was so friendly and helpful. You have to take your shoes off at the front door or you can take them off and put them on the inside shoe rack. Which I really liked. It also probably help keep there stunning wooden floor looking so darn good. The whole place was so clean it sparkled. We were on the second floor. It has this really cool looking stair case. Our room was a really good size. My mother and father in laws room was a bit smaller but still stunning. The bathrooms were incredible and looked to have recently been reno'ed. The shower always had hot water. It was the first hotel room that I didn't get any bug bits from. They did not have a funny mouldy smell. I don't believe this place had ac but it did have a ceiling fan that did the job (Im a night sweater). Wifi was free and worked really good. There was a mini fridge with water in it. They served a really good breakfast out of the smallest kitchen eve. It is the only meal they sever but there is a convenient store across the street for snacks and local & international restaurants around every corner. It was in a good very quiet location. Lots of things were in walking distance. If not the front desk would order you a tub tuk. They will arrange laundry to be picked up and sent out. It did take about 24 hours. So if you are going to the Kuang Si Fall the next day maybe don't send your swim suit to be washed. Would stay here again in a heart beat! I actually didn’t want to leave.

I arrived as part of a tour group set to share in a dorm but I fancied treating myself so purchased a double room as I stood in the lobby. The reservation came through the system quickly and I was soon shown to my room, the receptionist whispering that he had given me a delux suite on the way. I had free use of the small pool (didn’t have time unfortunately) and breakfast included in a separate building, which was one of the better ones. The room was huge with a balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom was large with towel rails and plenty of space to put toiletries. The AC unit was by the door so it didn’t blow directly on me during the night and there was bottled water, a kettle, tv, fridge, safe and even bath robes. Utter luxury after the places I had been staying! No negative points at all.

What a find! Away from the main street although easily walkable to the night market and bars and restaurants. Carefully prepared breakfasts which we both enjoyed. Rooms are large and individually decorated, cleaned daily. Really loved the beautiful decor. Service was excellent. Any query was answered fully and suggestions for activities and restaurants given if and when required. There was a lovely pool area with beds and chairs too. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this boutique hotel for families or couples.

Nice setting with lotus ponds and bridge, lots of trees, flowers, gravel winding paths and hidden seating areas. The pool is small but had lots of available comfy seating and was very clean. Breakfast is in a beautiful setting and the service and food were excellent. The menu has lots of options. Excellent service from reception to housekeeping - the complimentary water, fruit baskets and night time cookies were appreciated. Free bicycle hire and reception can organise trips. The location is okay, a 5-10 minute walk to the main area but that gives you an experience of local life as you pass through the narrow streets. There was some road noise - motorbikes etc but im not sure where you can avoid this in Luang Prabang or even SE Asia. If you are bothered by it, ear plugs will be useful. No noise from any neighbours. The room was a good size with a big balcony overlooking the gardens. Lots of stuff provided e.g toiletries, safe, tea, 3 in 1 coffee - you don't need to bring. (Cant remember seeing a razor but tbh hotel ones are never good so i bring my own). TIP: try not to rely on ATMs here, the charges are expensive. Either bring your own currency and exchange at one of the banks here (i got a good rate) or bring Kip. Many places also accept Thai baht and some US $. The hotel has water so being mosquito spray (housekeeping also offered this).
