The hotel is small overall but exquisite and has a century of history. The Queen's badge is hung at the door, which means that the Queen can be served. This badge is also available in London or the Ritz Hotel. 1. The hotel is not 5 minutes from Victoria Station. The Royal Stable Museum is next door. It is only 10 minutes to Buckingham Palace. After visiting Buckingham Palace, you can walk along St. James Park through 10 Downing Street to Big Ben. These attractions All within walking distance. If you want to shop, choose a hotel in the Mayfair area. In addition, three or more colleagues in London recommend UBER, the subway is really expensive. 2. Upon entering the hotel, the bellman was very active to help carry the luggage, and then a special housekeeper would greet him. After the name was determined, he would take the guests to the cafe for check-in, and the drinks were free. 3. The room is relatively large in London. Aparsel is used for toiletries, aerated bottle of mineral water and hilon is used for a normal bottle. These are all royally certified products. Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

Hygiene is average, seems gray, and the bathroom has a slight odor. There is no own parking lot. There is a cooperative parking lot on the other side of the square. You can park temporarily at the door and drop your luggage before going to the parking lot. Parking is 44 pounds a day and about 37 pounds with a hotel coupon. There are actually two hotels here, one is grand and the other is cq. I booked grand but lived in Cq. I do n’t know how to arrange it. When the hotel is not busy, it is sold at 7-800, and the price is good. After all, it is close to the Thames and other attractions.

Free to travel in London, this hotel is cost-effective.

So we stayed in Tophams hotel in the Belgravia area of London, and location was great. The hotel is conveniently located, with a 5-minute walk to the Victoria park Train station, 1 minute to a hop on off bus, and 10 minutes to the Victoria Palace theatre. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Victoria Coach Station (we were leaving the next day on a cruise from Southampton). The beauty of this location is that you can easily pull your suitcase out of the front door and to Victoria Coach Station in about 3 minutes. Super easy. Due to a late plane--we arrived late evening and the front desk apologized that our room was on the 3rd floor. I was anticipating no elevator so had packed overnight essentials in a small carryon bag. The front desk stored our large suitcases in a luggage room. The stairs are steep and narrow--would have been difficult to negotiate with our large suitcases. The hotel is also quite close to Victoria Train Station and noise from the trains might be troublesome for light sleepers--but even though our window was overlooking the train tracks, we felt that the air conditioner noise pretty much blocked out all train noise. The bed was very comfy--the room was quite small (and we were so glad our large suitcases were downstairs, because there wasn't too much extra room around the bed to walk. The bathroom was modern, spotlessly clean and larger than expected. A generous boxed breakfast was delivered to the room in the AM and included milk, cereal, danish, an egg, yogurt and a banana (if my memory serves me right). There was coffee available downstairs in the lobby. The gentlemen at the front desk when we checked in and checked out were very friendly and helpful--suggesting someplace to eat for dinner and helping us with our bags. This is a great hotel for an overnight stay near Victoria Station--the rooms are small by American standards--but the economical price was very much appreciated and the location was perfect.

I booked a room via the booking com website. They had fairly good reviews and the photos looked really nice so I thought this was gonna be a good place for my daughter's first visit in the UK. When we were going up the stairs there was nothing worrying. Might have thought that the place needs a bit doing up but ignored it. However, when we entered the room we were shocked to find that we were given an almost entirely rotten room that looked nothing like the pictures and not corresponding to the reviews at all. The beds were some creaky cot beds with really thin mattresses. The window was a flaky rotten single glazed frame that didn't even budge and we hurt our fingers to get it closed. Bathroom wise the door frame, where door handle was, had fallen off and the handle was just hanging there. There was other people's hairs on the door on the inside. The sink was so tiny like those you find on boats and whenever we washed our hands the entire bathroom got wet. We had to use one of our own towels to keep drying the floor which we obviously had to put in the bin after. The toilet was blocked and had to unblock it ourselves just to get on with our daily needs. The shower head was broken and there was no pressure for hot water. The shower door was broken too and fell on my daughter while she was washing, had to set it back up just to get out. There was no venting at all which made the room steamy and super humid after a shower. The walls looked mucky like they haven't been cleaned in years. The only good things about this room was that there was plenty of working power sockets, a working kettle, some coffee and tea and a semi-working electric heater which was also broken where the switches are which I'm sure wasn't that safe but we had to use it anyway because we were cold from that thin window. The electric locks were alright, considering. When we asked for fresh sheets we were told that we get them every 5 days and if we want new ones any sooner than that we had to pay for them. All in all it was embarrassing. I haven't seen my daughter in months and had to put her through this. There was other more popular hotels at the same price. I don't know why I fell for this stupid trap.
