Hotel Indigo Lijiang Ancient Town

That was a great experience. It was hard to choose between Intercontinental and Indigo. I personally prefer Indigo because of our experience in Japan and of the attention to detail. The prices were the same at both hotels and you can use the amenities of both, which is great. The breakfast at Intercontinental is better, the bacon in Indigo is Chinese style and it’s not a buffet breakfast. Need to order from the menu. I liked the unique story of Indigo about the Tea horse road. Intercontinental has a larger area, but both hotels are beautiful. The staff at Intercontinental speaks better English. The staff at both hotels were helpful and attentive. We got an upgrade in Indigo to a Mountain View room but only because first we got a wall view and I asked for an upgrade. Indigo is quiet and peaceful, but very close to Intercontinental. The rooms are huge and amazing. In the end, choose the hotel based on the room style you prefer. All the other stuff can be shared. Thank you for a nice stay in Lijiang. The location is convenient and quiet. We went to Hyatt and Pullman for dinner, but they were far from the Lijiang old town and it was difficult to find transportation, it took us 50 minutes to get didi, the hotels are just okay compare to Intercontinental and Indigo. I recommend staying at Intercontinental or Indigo for a satisfying experience. 👍

Setting of the hotel was really beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast options were fantastic. Located on the quieter side of the ancient town which suited my needs. Would stay here if I visited Lijiang again.

Our stay with Indigo Lijiang is absolute amazing! Super warm and friendly services and super comfortable and well thought facilities. Big shout out to our guest service manager Nero Yang, who is friendly, professional and considerate. Staying in Indigo you can spend your time at Intercontinental lobby, where you can get the 100/100 perfect view of the Jade Dragon Mountain when the sky is clear. If you are coming to spend your holidays in Lijiang, will strongly recommend you to stay with Indigo.

The location was perfect for me, not in the high traffic area so it is very quiet but not far to walk, bicycle or taxi to the more busy areas. The Indigo is small enough to be very personal and provide fantastic service in a relaxed environment whilst its sister hotel across the street povides a great gym and pool. All the staff at the Indigo are very friendly and nothing appears to be too much trouble and a special thanks to Laura - this is what makes the Indigo special. Would definitely recommend.

The facilities in this hotel is really high quality, better than we expected. We checked in this hotel (Indigo) but we ate our breakfast in the Intercontinental Hotel. We had our free photos as well, which are good quality as well. Over all, this hotel is highly reccommended. Gonna go back in this hotel again

What a great hotel! The location is perfect. Easy access to the hotel from the street but also just inside the old town- so best of both worlds. The accommodation was beautiful- like a garden paradise. Thanks to the staff for making it extra special. Especially thank you to Abby, Nero, and Morna for making us feel special even though the hotel was so busy. Will stay again!

We just returned from a very special four days at the Hotel Indigo in Lijiang Ancient Town. The location of the hotel is perfect, just at the southern end of the historic section, which allowed us to explore both the tourist shops and restaurants while having more local places just across the street. Staff were very helpful with check-in and during breakfast service and the housekeeping staff turned around a laundry request much sooner than promised. In addition, the design of the property and individual rooms was exceptional. My only disappointment was that towels were changed every day despite my indication that this was unnecessary. Otherwise, it was a very top-notch experience.

Our second stay at this wonderful hotel, great location and all boxes ticked. Highly recommended.
