Kunshan Homestays

Motivated to write a review as there was not too much information when I was booking. Location It is outside the scenic area (read paid entry). However it is just 100m from one of the entrances making it easy to enter. Use baidu maps to locate it as it is not correctly pinpointed elsewhere. They do offer a pickup service I think if you call to inform them. Not sure from where though. Rooms 3 storey building with different themed rooms. Beautiful design throughout and modern - such juxtaposition against the surroundings. The main difference with the Mulan lodgings in the scenic area is that there is underfloor heating which makes it a lot more comfortable in winter. The family room I booked had a very nice Kohler bathtub which we took advantage of Food There is no breakfast options by the hotel but there are many food options around and just outside the hotel. Mulan runs a beautifully designed restaurant inside the scenic area which again stands out from the other more traditionally designed restaurants. Prices are a little more but the ambience and service are excellent. Service The reception staff was oddly not fond of making eye contact or any sort of small talk. He does answer directed questions but is nothing close to friendly or warm. He also did not offer any information on checking us in and we had to ask for information re wifi access and entry to scenic area etc the cleaning ladies are very pleasant though. Conclusions Overall, it is a beautiful place to stay in with good location and rooms. There are not much by the way of amenities or service but I would stay here again should I come by Zhouzhuang.

The location is quite remote, it is at the end of the ancient town. However it is a quiet and clean place. However, the mattress is not very comfortable. In front of the alley are two friendly vendors selling chestnut cakes, the cakes are also very delicious. In general, everything is good except for the remote location, advice to consider for those with a lot of luggage. Carrying over some very large bridges, my arms were tired after that :( . Great little place to stay. I booked the room with a balcony view. Enjoyed sitting on the chairs in the morning and evening. Mosquito netting around the bed is perfect for a good night sleep. Overall I would love to come back here again. No issue with Food Delivery into the park. Hotel staff were helpful in arranging Taxi Service to Oriental Land Station (100RMB). Enjoyed the shops and plenty to do over a couple days if you like to take your time strolling leisurely. Also traveled to Suzhou canals near Qilishantang and Pingjiang which are great as well.

Excellent value for money, I didn't expect such a spacious and comfortable room in a homestay at this price. Compared with the Qingpu homestay (1800 nights) that stayed at the end of July, it was a world of difference. The room is big, the bedding is high-end, clean and comfortable, the facilities in the room are arranged with very intimate details, pets are not charged, there is a free drink full of refrigerators, desserts, fruits, capsule coffee, we are all embarrassed, afraid of the boss losing. When you are tired, go live for a few more days and relax.

Breakfast is a little simple, very Chinese, sweet potatoes are self-grown by the store, very safe, in line with the hotel theme, the accommodation is quite good, log color + some original feeling, friends' pool room is a bit cold but very hygienic at this time, our duplex room upstairs is a tea room + balcony, very hot, But it is very clean and repaired. The stairs are very narrow and steep, and it is a bit dangerous for children to go upstairs and downstairs. In winter, there is floor heating in the room, and you can also come to the outdoor pool to enjoy the snow and soak in the ”hot spring pool”. The pool is heated. Recommended!

The environment is good and very quiet. It is suitable for taking the family out for a short stay for a few days, and it is also suitable for gathering with friends. You can also do handicrafts, which is very good. Next time I plan to stay in Taolu!

Therefore, the price-performance ratio is not good. We also visited one or two hotels in the scenic area, and similar ones were only priced at 160. The next day we went to Suzhou city to stay in a very luxurious hotel, directly opposite the Humble Administrator's Garden. It is said that everyone is a scenic spot, but others only need 200 yuan. Overall living is quite comfortable if the requirements are not high. Prompt and thoughtful service!

At night, the family sits together to make a pot of tea. It is leisurely and comfortable. The tea delivered by the landlord is also very good!
