The Pineapple Hotel

Great hotel with friendly helpful staff and a decent breakfast. Booked as there weren’t many others available that night in the area, but it exceeded my expectations:-)

Air conditioning was making a lot of noise.

Booked 2 rooms, 1 for me and my partner and other for friends. I was unable to go due to a severe leg infection. I sent the hotel a picture of the infection and told them I was also happy to send them a video with my face and then pan down to infection. The pain was immense and there was no way I could travel to Krabi from Phuket. I advised the hotel in good time, but they insisted on keeping the money. This is simply bad and unethical business. I have a business with strict rules on refunds too, but illness always supersedes those rules, and we will refund provided we have evidence of the illness. On this basis, I rate the service as terrible. My friend did go and said he has no idea why it is posted as a 4 star hotel. He had just gone from a 4 star hotel in Phuket and this one was way below that. He was glad to leave!

The hotel is about 1 mile away from Krabi City. So there is not much touristic things to do in the area. I personally enjoyed going to local restaurants and connecting with the people. The staff is very nice. Wifi is pretty bad though. The pool area is not bad as well.

Do NOT waste your money! We booked this hotel as a family of 4, for 4 nights - we checked out after 1, and had i of been able to get another hotel on the same day as check in, we would have left right away. On arrival, the hotel room was horrible!! It was dirty, with mould and bubbling and food marks all over the walls, mirrors not cleaned, hair on the floor, cubbards falling apart in the bathroom, a bathtub with no taps, towels with holes that looked like they were 10 years old, tthe shower had no pressure to it and was cold! Stains on the bedsheets! A family room and only 1 sofa to sit 2 people, a TV that was fuzzy and no english chanels. We went to reception and complained and they did send up housekeeping to clean, and the offered us to move rooms (to a smaller one) and then offered us a conjoining room to the family room as compensation. The cleaners came and dusted and mopped, it made no difference. On booking it states they have a restaurant on site - in the in room information folder it says there is room service. They do not! They only offer breakfast! Amazing to not be able to get any food after travelling many hours with young children. You have to go to the 7 11 next door, or walk 15 minutes to the town to find any sort of food for lunch / dinner. Breakfast was cold, only fried eggs offered and they were not even cooked. Buffet is only offered if they have enough guests, otherwise you get a set meal which again, looks aweful and processed. We checked out as soon as we could the next mornimg and of course, no conpensation or refund offered. How this hotel has received a 4* rate is beyond me! At 80£ per night, there is nothing 4* about it. The level is what i would expect from a hostel. Would not ever stay again and you shoulnt either. The location was close to the town which we explored in the evening to find dinner, and that was cute and lovely. The town was the only positive!!!!
