I nearly changed my holiday because of the negative reviews that i read here, however i was so pleased i didn't and went with my gut instinct. I have just returned from the most wonderful relaxing holiday at the Mai Samui beach resort. The hotel has been built in a traditional Thai style, on a quiet peninsular of Samui. So if you are looking for a glossy high rise concrete soulless block with entertainment and plenty of bars surrounding you, then this is not the place for you. There are a few local restaurants and a coffee shop only a few minutes walk away. With lively Bophut, with the Fisherman's market and Nathon are only a short taxi ride away (or free bus from hotel every day). The hotel has a variety of rooms to stay in, a couple of restaurants and a great beach bar with an extensive cocktail menu. The staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently having a few renovations but so has everyone else. Hotels and bars across the world have all suffered being locked down for several years due to Covid 19, and have only just re-opened, so yes they all need to do a bit of catch up. The renovations did not impact us in any way, and did not spoil our holiday one bit. I chose not to do all inclusive and opted for breakfast only. There was plenty of choice every morning. The egg chef was always busy with everyone's individual orders. One very small negative is the lack gluten free options or milk alternatives, but we worked around it. The beach is not your usual tropical lounging sandy spot. This is a very shallow tidal bay with some rocks and corals. It is great for a low tide walk, but not swimming. To make up for this the hotel has a couple of large well thought out swimming pools. and there is a raised sandy area to the front of the beach with plenty of sunbeds and chairs to lounge on. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a quite resort but with easy access to livelier towns. If i have the chance i would definitely come back again. Thank you everyone at Mai Samui for a wonderful stay.

The Humble Villas

The accommodation “The Humble Villas” is really a dream. If we could give more than 10 stars we would because we absolutely loved everything about it. The small villas, which all have a view of the sea, are highly recommended for both shorter and longer stays (in our case 2 weeks). Especially on very warm days it was great to cool off in your own pool/diving pool or to swim in the larger hotel pool in the evening at sunset. In addition to the great facilities of our villa, where nothing was missing (cool drinks and snacks every day, flip-flops, beach bag and even mosquito spray included), we liked the quiet location of the complex, away from the hustle and bustle, but still with everything important (e.g example also restaurants) within walking distance. Also worth mentioning is the delicious breakfast, which is lovingly prepared and served every morning with a view of the sea. There is definitely something for everyone here and we looked forward to it every morning during our longer stay. But what we liked best was the generally incredibly hard-working, attentive and lovely staff of the hotel. You rarely experience so much hospitality and we felt completely at home due to the family atmosphere. Even certain details (birthday during the stay) and wishes (e.g. mosquito net over the bed) were thought of. So a big thank you to the great team! You made this stay so special and relaxing. We will definitely be happy to come back.

The video is that some of the bathroom I took in the hotel bathroom is half leaky and clean. The overall feeling is good and the taste is more natural. Hahaha I want to complain that the door of this bathroom is really good. It reminds me that the memories of our Chinese when we were young are rural The stable wooden door of the house is really fun. Now the hotels are all luxurious. There is no such retro feeling at all. I recommend this hotel. It looks good. The small green glass large size is really good. Hahaha

I came to Koh Samui for the first time in 2018 and fell in love with the island after spending a week there. After the epidemic, I was finally able to visit again! I searched a lot of villas online and booked Blue View. The actual scenery was much more beautiful than the pictures. A group of three children had a lot of fun playing in the swimming pool. We adults also lay on the sofa in the living room and stared at the sea view in front of us every day. It was really comfortable. We just hope we can stay a few more days! The chef's cooking is also delicious. I am very lucky to find Blue View Villa. Thank you to the villa team for their careful care.
