Comfortable location. Almost in the center of the island. Like in the distance from the noisy shopping center, but in step-to-step availability. Like not on the beach, but it is near the road. The rooms and the hotel itself have all the rest (including free shoes, carpets and beach towels). The room has free water, bonus is sneaking and juice in boxes (updated daily when cleaning). Hosts' responsive attitude to the hosts. Breakfasts may seem uniform, but hot for order and several kinds of it. Plus having a coffee machine for breakfast is a rare thing for the Yuva hotels of recent time. There is a small shop at the hotel. The truth works until 7 p.m. and the prices are slightly higher than in ”7/11,” but it is very convenient that under the hand, in the conditions of the island.

This hotel has been renovated and is now called Lazy Sandals Hostel. Was still advertised on Expedia as Samed Green Inn which was a problem when we arrived and got dropped off by the boat as they said this hotel finished already. We managed to get someone to take to the address location to find out it had a new name. The young girl on reception checked us in in between playing on the phone in which seemed more interesting than the paying guests. Upon being told where the room was, instead of being shown, as it was obviously to much effort to get off the stall we found the room to have a bit of a smell, which got worse when you used the sink and shower and the mosquitoes appeared. Breakfast was part of the price but yet again Expedia or the hotel staff never explained it was about 1km walk in another resort. We was just given some coupons for breakfast to be told we had to walk down the road, like we knew the island on our first visit. Worst thing was you had to walk past a water sewage plant, which was enough to put you off breakfast all together. Due to having a bad knee we went by taxi the next 3 mornings due to the distance. The staff in the mornings and during the day never said hello or acknowledged you, just continued playing on the phone. About as useful as a chocolate tea cup. The rooms and the way they seem to of renovated it was nice to be fair but shame about the mosquitoes, smell, the walk to breakfast and the staff service. Wont be back.

We enjoyed a good dinner on the white soft sand beach. The Thai food was pretty good even for Thai tongues. Service was fast and friendly. Prices have been very moderate. Specially good wine at normal Thai prices. The sad point was it closes at only 9 pm.

Was far more expensive than other accommodations on the same beach. Room was badly decorated and was dirty and smelled of damp. The AC had no controller so the temperature was controlled by the owner and was set so that it was hot and humid in the room. There were dead cockroaches all up the stairs to the rooms which were there our entire stay, showing the lack of cleaning taking place. We walked a few meters along the beach and far superior bungalow for half the cost. Avoid this place at all costs.

I have to say that I didn't stay here. But will review the restaurant here for you Because here he has a restaurant as well in front of the beach by the sea. Thai food here is very delicious, spicy, very pleasing, a lot of worth the price, delicious cocktails, good service staff. Stayed at Avatara Resort Hotel from 8 to 10 December 2021. We booked a Triple Room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Layout of the bathroom was awesome with full view of the jungle. Location is not bad just a walking distance to the Sai Kaew beach which was lively and vibrant at night, with many restaurants nearby. Unfortunately this multistory building has no lift or escalators and a long walk from the lobby and beach. Our room was on the 5th floor and climbing up those many stairs is a big problem especially for those with disabilities or older age. Path and corridors along the building are poorly lit. Breakfast by the beach is very popular with guests but service is poor. On our second day, my son found out that the fresh cold milk he had with cornflakes has gone bad. Brought to the attention of the staff who was quite reluctant and no apologies, Restaurant staff should have pay more attention to the quality of food served. Poor and unfriendly staff; no smile, no greetings and treated guests as if we are a liability to them. The staff was busy playing with their mobile phones and chatting with their colleagues rather than paying attention to the hotel guests. We need to approach them every time we needed to order and foods service are poor. Serviette and tissue paper are not provided with the food, have to asked for them.

The hotel is really new. But! The “entrance group” to it is unlikely to please you) although this is Tai!) The views from the window are different everywhere. There is also a game of contrasts. They tried to replace us with a triple room, and they threw the mattress on the floor) The sewage system in yours was broken. As a result, they fixed it in front of us in 5 minutes. The next day it broke again. The mattress is a separate joy. It CRUNCHES with every movement. Gentlemen, owners, remove the bags!!! from mattresses. You're saving on the wrong things
