Koh Chang Thai Garden Hill Resort

Klong Prao Beach Koh Chang|1.48km from Khai Muk Beach
Room on the 2nd floor, on the main path,in the middle between the recepchen and the pool. The hotel is old and certainly needs repair, but it is taken care of as much as possible. The area is very green, lots of colors.Cleaning is very good, without a vacuum, I saw the room being prepared - the whole light day the door and the balcony open, the pillows and the blanket are put on the balcony in the sun. Fabulous Thai-style houses, glass doors on the balcony in the floor in the whole wall-looking at least from the room + the smell of franchipani, birds sing! There is still a window with a mosquito net and a window in the bathroom also with a net, i.e. no moisture and eclipse, 24-hour fresh air. It was on the 1st floor, too not raw, nothing smells. 2 towels +1 for the legs- change every day and bed too. There is a small refrigerator, 2 bottles of water daily, no teapot. TV and air conditioner are old, but it works normal. The shower is hot, the pressure is good. Liquid soap, shampoo, hat, vatty shelves. On the balcony 2 chairs. Excellent swimming pool(there is a children's area) with a view on the jungle, enough lying, a number of showers (requires repair), there are beach towels. Men who like dense breakfast will be small. Some 8 positions on choice+to all small fruit plate(4 pieces of arbuz and 4 pineapple for two) and juice, coffee/tea/milk/water/water/sugar- is not limited. Wi-fi on the respiratory and at the pool worked well, the room used from the pool, also norms. There is a bike for rent 200 baht, massage 350 baht, friendly staff. The hotel is slightly removed from the road and it is good. If the number is next to the receptacle, there is a noise from bars on the road and buffet behind the fence, there are many screaming Chinese. Minuses: - far away to the beach, minutes 10-15 to go along the road in heat - the refrigerator is off when you leave the room - mosquitoes at night. Sleep with open balcony doors. Found in the closet an anti-mosquito baldachin and everything was fine! - the crane, the grid in the shelter old, rusty. It is not expensive to replace them, like petty, but the impression is spoiling. - during the check-in, asked if you could stay in the room until 13 30. Answered that there were no problems at all. On the day of departure on the same question, you can't stay even for 15 minutes, urgent cleaning. Okay, went to the pool. But before our departure, no one in the room looked, i.e. no urgency was. Why was it to promise first, and then to lie without reason? Here again, like a little, and attitude is spoiled, instead of + staff -.

Coconut Beach Resort, Koh Chang

Klong Prao Beach
Kho Chang is a beautiful island covered with trees, mountains and waterfalls. There are perfect beaches on its western shore. On one of these is Coconut Beach Resort. It's scale and architecture suit this island. Some larger hotels there might as well be in overdeveloped cities. Accommodation is in clusters of two-story buildings innThai style, grouped around a beautiful swimming pool and tropical gardens. There are trees on the beach with hanging swings and womb chairs. The restaurant has tables at the edge of the beach. The Thai food is delicious - seafood in red curry, whole fish simmering at your table, grilled prawns - and there are cocktails to complete the holiday treat. Service is friendly and efficient.

We had family visiting Thailand for the first time, and we stayed at both the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort and the sister resort Koh Chang Paradise Resort across the street. If you want to read about my awful experience at the sister resort, Koh Chang Paradise, you can read my other review. Our stay at the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort was fun and relaxing. My kids enjoyed the waterpark and the beach. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Two thumbs up for the staff! The only negative experience I had with a staff member was at breakfast one morning. I had sprained my ankle right before our beach holiday and was hobbling around at breakfast filling up my personal mug with tea because the provided cups were really small and I didn’t want to have to get up multiple times to refill the small cup. A chef got angry at me and told me to not use my personal mug. He raised his voice at me and told me unkindly to not do what I was doing. I explained to him that I had hurt my ankle and did not want to get up multiple times to get more tea. I don’t think he really listened to me because he kept talking to me with an angry voice about not using my cup. Thankfully all the other staff at breakfast have been great. The lifeguards at the pool were great. One of the kids in our group slipped and cut her foot, and they cared for her with proper first aid. I appreciated their professional approach! Cleaning ladies were cheerful and smiled a lot.

We have been staying here three nights now, and have three nights left. I booked it the night before we arrived, and was not sure what to expect since our two first choises was fully booked. How lucky we were! We are very experienced travellers, and have stayed in numerous hotels in Thailand. After a brief discussion, we agrèed that this is the best place so far. The resort is owned by a nice german/thai couple. We booked a bungalow with sea view, and it is perfect. ”Sea view” here is an understatement. The only thing you see when looking straight out from the balcony and bedroom, is the sky and the sea. Love sitting outside in the morning, sipping coffee and listen to the birds and the waves. Everything works perfect in the bungalow. Big bedroom with both a/c and fan. Same with the livingroom. Good and reasonably priced minibar. Fast wifi. Excellent breakfast. Not buffet, but you order from a menu with a huge variety. We ate dinner in the restaurant the other night, and was very satisfied. Plenty of restarants nearby. The austrian next door, and the With Elephant across the road both serve good food. Very nice and quiet pool area. Staff is excellent as well. This is the first place we have stayed where the room has been cleaned while we were eating breakfast. 10 mins walk to White sand beach. We highly reccomend this place!!

When I come here to the island, I always live in this accommodation, always with the room sea view. Daily cleaning, always clean, big refrigerator. The simple rooms and the sporadic facilities are placed in the shadows by the beautiful balcony and great views. Here you can enjoy the great view with your Chang. The staff is top, it is very good motorcycles in the best condition. I like it here and I like to come back. ThaiLife Travel says thanks for the good service and the nice time with you. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.

The location is seafront not beachfront as seen from photos if you bother to do some simple research. However, the resort provides a man made sand area with furniture overlooking the sea. Alternatively, walk a mere 2 minutes down the main road to access White Sands beach. The property enjoys a 7-11, Macro and beer bar complex nearby. It is only a short walk to White Elephant Sports bar and to restaurants, travel agencies and your typical beach shops down along the main road. The seaside complex provides an infinity pool, a long pool beside the bungalow rooms, beach bar and restaurant where all guests partake breakfast. Both the seaside and hillside complexes have a dedicated reception area. I found staff at both were friendly and probably able to assist you if you have done no research about Koh Chang. On this visit I opted for a hillside room as I was seeking overall value. I had read reviews that seaside rooms can be affected by noise at night emanating from the nearby beer bar complex. My room was situated on the east side of the building (3 floors) and was not affected by any noise at night. I even had a water view from my balcony. My room was spacious and clean. The aircon, fridge and TV worked fine. The wardrobe had hangers with some shelving space. A long bench space with drawers to place your things. A small table and two children was useful. Lighting was very good. The bathroom was also modern looking with segregated shower recess. Good hot water with good pressure. The buffet breakfast was excellent. All the possible food options have you covered including an egg station. Enough seating given the number of guests coming and going. Overall, the resort and my room provided me with what I wanted, a comfortable and quiet stay.
