Peninsula Beach Resort
4.2/59 Reviews
Klong Son
Several hotel establishments in the same hotel group share the resort, but the Peninsula seems to be the best of all thanks to its position on the beach and its (poor) rooms (store and very pleasant). The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and the bathroom is very convenient and well-organised. The air conditioning is also very successful, with several possible combinations, including headlights. The beach is beautiful, clean but not deep. The sunshine is just in front. The negative points: you need to be motorised, because the hotel is quite isolated. The big weak point is the restaurant that is not at the level of the standing. The hotel is very well located in the city centre, and the hotel is very close to the city centre. Last bad point: the reception is unable to give any information about the activities (e.g. the snorkelling that is supposed to be offered), they don't know or say there's nothing at the moment. Unfortunately, there is a lack of customer attention and nothing is done to meet expectations (after 17h, more kayak, because the staff wanted to leave): a big point to improve to maintain a quality level.

We have just returned from a month at this lovely resort. It was amazing! The rooms are huge, bright, airy, spotless and have great views. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and served literally on the beach. You can watch fish swimming and hear the waves- it’s a stunning location. There are 3 large pool areas to choose from. All are spotless, with plenty of Sun loungers, Bean bags, tables and chairs, bars and clean toilet/shower facilities. There are plenty of shaded areas to sit/lie in too! The beach is perfect for young children- as it is very long, shallow and sandy, but we swam every day in the sea- some days you just have to walk out quite a bit. There was some construction, maintenance and repair work going on around the resort while we were there, but this did not spoil our holiday at all. My favourite part was the Shambhala Beach Bar- it was absolutely gorgeous! The food and drink prices at the hotel were very reasonable (£5/£6 upwards for 2 meals and water) and there are also plenty of places to eat nearby, just outside the resort & along the main road. We ate mainly at the little restaurant just by the entrance to the hotel grounds (£3 for 2 main courses and a large bottle of water!) and also at Khun Tees on the main road (£4-£5 for the same). It is a 10-15 minute walk down to breakfast/beach area, but it’s a lovely walk through all the on-site villas, gardens and waterways. The oath is well paced and even and if you can’t manage the walk- reception are happy to send a golf buggy to collect you from outside your room. We would definitely come back here again!
Koh Chang Paradise Hill

We had family visiting Thailand for the first time, and we stayed at both the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort and the sister resort Koh Chang Paradise Resort across the street. If you want to read about my awful experience at the sister resort, Koh Chang Paradise, you can read my other review. Our stay at the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort was fun and relaxing. My kids enjoyed the waterpark and the beach. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Two thumbs up for the staff! The only negative experience I had with a staff member was at breakfast one morning. I had sprained my ankle right before our beach holiday and was hobbling around at breakfast filling up my personal mug with tea because the provided cups were really small and I didn’t want to have to get up multiple times to refill the small cup. A chef got angry at me and told me to not use my personal mug. He raised his voice at me and told me unkindly to not do what I was doing. I explained to him that I had hurt my ankle and did not want to get up multiple times to get more tea. I don’t think he really listened to me because he kept talking to me with an angry voice about not using my cup. Thankfully all the other staff at breakfast have been great. The lifeguards at the pool were great. One of the kids in our group slipped and cut her foot, and they cared for her with proper first aid. I appreciated their professional approach! Cleaning ladies were cheerful and smiled a lot.
Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway

Lonely Beach / Bai Lan Bay
Traveling to Koh Chang on Songkran Day, if the Accor Group uses benefits, it must be considered. Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway booked a Standard room but was upgraded to a Deluxe Seaview room and received Platinum benefits. Quite complete. The room is okay. I like it because I have to pay only 1,402 baht per night. The room is full due to a long holiday. I'm glad I upgraded. I have reserved 3 rooms, there are welcome drinks for all 3 rooms. For dinner, most of the guests leave their stomachs at the Buffet Hotel because it is Songkran Festival. Accor Plus cannot use the discount at all. The price is not expensive, only 530 baht per person, but.. Phra Chuay Thai food is delicious. Anyone staying here recommends trying Thai food. The happy hour here is satisfyingly long from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone who eats the buffet will receive a buy 1 free 1 promotion until 10:00 p.m., very worthwhile. The highlight of this place is a lot of photo angles, and taking beautiful photos, but the beach is not okay, which is a weak point. The sea water is hardly played because there are a lot of rocks. I mostly stay at the swimming pool 100% recommend if anyone sleeps here to relax and snorkel on the last day, come back to swim at the pool, take chic photos and eat buffet 🙂 Breakfast is quite suitable for Thai people, focusing on spicy Thai food. It also has my favorite pizza. The hotel has a Starbucks on the beach but does not participate in a star or membership program. For me, April 13-15 is a rest day. I'm pretty happy here. Let's just say for Accor members or group members. If anyone comes to Koh Chang, recommend here. You can get both nights and points. If there is any problem during your stay, I suggest you don't wait, hurry and share with him. He knows the problem and is ready to take care of it immediately. Come to Koh Chang next time, Mercure is still our choice.

Kai Bae Beach
The hotel is small and quiet, but it is very convenient on the surrounding streets. The facilities are complete, there are two swimming pools, and there are free canoes to go out to the sea. The staff were very polite and enthusiastic. One of us dropped his mobile phone while riding a motorcycle around the island. We didn’t report any hope. The front desk asked us at the police station and sent a staff member to drive us to claim it. Okay. Moved, the nice guys who picked up the phone, the police, and the hotel staff were very nice.

Stayed in oceanfront room. Clean no mosquitos or insects. No geckos in the room either. They can be noisy if on the inside. Excellent and friendly service by staff at the resort especially at breakfast. Good variety of breakfast items. I went for omelet, yoghurt and fruit. The pool is nice and you can swim laps. Tips If you want to the waterfall Klung Plu and don’t want to ride pickup taxi but Toyota minibus walk 150m on the beach to Mr T travel (right beside Mr T bar). It was excellent that the resort provided new bottles of drinking water every day. We had delicious lunch and dinners at the restaurant. Paddle a kayak was included. Did diving with BB-divers easy pick up by speedboat to dive center just a couple of minutes from the beach at the resort.
