Went through this beautiful village, on route to our accommodation in Wells, and had to stop when we saw this picturesque pub. We had a lovely lunch and being a fan of the British pub I had a good look round. Great little dining areas including the amazing library and separate old fashioned drinking area , the classic album covers in the gents were a great idea too. A fantastic welcoming village pub. Managed to leave my sunglasses there! Contacted the pub and were posted back within days. Thank you.

On arrival I had to say hello to the most discourteous fron of house I have ever come across. She was more interested in tapping away on her compute than customer service. After some huffing I was taken to my table where we were served by a charming and delightful waitress. Even though the restaurant was far from busy, it took 45 mins to receive our starter which was salami and olives and a further 45 minutes to receive our main course. The burger was simply inedible and the fish I had was severely overcooked and the chips had burnt edges. The prices are highly inflated but the one positive was the exceptional own brewed lager which was the only joy I experienced. My advice would be to smile and wave at the stunning exterior of the hotel as you drive by and visit the rose and crown in nearby Harpley where you will have a far more enjoyable experience.

We arrived were totally ignored eventually got taken to our table! I have never ever ever experienced such an incredibly bad service in my life! We ordered some nibbles which took 45mins! I ordered the burger which I was told needed to be well done, it was so well done I could t eat it, my brothers fish was grey and the mushy peas brown! One waitress lovely the one behind the bar was so rude that when I went to get the bill as they failed to bring it to the table after 15’mins, she said ‘I’m with a customer’! It cost £140 for 2 fish and chips, 2 burgers and 1 scampi, I would say the chips that came with your burger were delicious, the ones with the haddock revolting and doorsteps! It is such a shame as it is such a pretty village great Massingham but I would head to the rose and crown up the road in Harpley if I was you!

A rare find. A fabulous pub and hotel. BUT here is the thing. I was knackered and it had got dark when I arrived at the duck. I was walking the peddars way. My son had tried a different route and HAD not arrived. The manager immediately launched a search party at the drop of a hat. Says it all. Stunning.

Had our wonderful wedding day experience at the Dabbling Duck. Amy and the staff are absolute superstars, arranging everything and managing the day beautifully. From the gorgeous Orangery setting to the sublime food, wine and beers, everything was first class. The accomodation is incredible with our guests staying in Barrack House next door with Amy ensuring our guests were housed in the loveliest of environments, even managing to find an extra room for a guest unable to drive home (too many of the Duck's fab Norfolk Honey and Vanilla Rum). Nothing troubled the team and the attention to detail was second to none. We are running out of superlatives to describe our day! Thank you from all of us to everybody at the pub and an extra special additional thank you to Amy and Mark for surprising the Brides and bridesmaids with an appearance of the doggy guests of honour Doris and Daphne. Perfect.

We booked 2 night accommodation at The Dabbling Duck for four couples tocelebrate the NewYear. We were blown away by the accommodation. We were all accommodated in the property next door to the pub Barrack House. All I can say is Wow! The best pub accommodation I have ever stayed in. Visually the design is amazing with every attention to detail. Stand alone bath, which you just had to try, comfortable beds, coffee making facilities with coffee pods provided. Downstairs we had the bonus of a lounge. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Excellent food, reasonably priced. Loads to do in the local area Sandringham and Brancaster Beach a short drive away. Will definitely be returning .

What a fantastic, warm, welcoming pub/restaurant/hotel. Lovely building, well maintained and in great condition. Staff were most welcoming and warm. Restaurant had a variety of different offerings, using locally sourced meats and ingredients. Absolutely loved this place

Hadn’t booked, asked if we could have lunch, we also had a dog with us. The receptionist was so friendly, said we could eat and showed us to the bar to order drinks. We were shown to our table. We both ordered starters and main courses. The food was all excellent and the staff were so accommodating. The building and the decor were amazing. Will definitely be going back there to stay and eat.

Superb in every way! We stayed for one night in Badger’s Sett. The room was exceptional - as was the bathroom with a wonderful free standing bath. The highest quality of fittings and bedding - we could not recommend more highly. Dinner was faultless - the most delicious crispy beef all accompanied by an extensive and high quality wine selection. The staff are welcoming, attentive and go over and above to ensure that your visit is of a very high standard.
