Americas Best Value Inn Kelso

Noise was the biggest issue. Very limited continental breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good.

Front desk staff member was super friendly and relaxed. Plenty of parking. Strange run down house on the same block, the hotel is built around it. Non smoking room smelled like smoke. Burn marks on the tub and quilt. Bed, washroom, appliances and towels were clean, but sticky table, questionable floors and grimy doors windowsills and baseboards. The sheets were narrow, queen bed with what seemed like double sheets, so everytime my husband turned I'd get uncovered. No extra blankets so thin blanket was not enough, I wore a fleece to bed. Surprise! If you sleep in the back of the building the train tracks are right across the street. Good location to highway, restaurants and mall. People mention the neighborhood being sketchy, but there were families, friendly people, poverty or lower income area does not automatically mean beware. Our vehicle was fine, we felt fine. I wish them the best. I think they are trying to turn around a not so great reputation.

Unfortunately, the bedspreads had holes in them from cigarette burns. The television system had limited access to channels.

New look, new owner. Years ago when I was last here it was a hole that no one dared step foot in. Not anymore! Their hard work really shows! Wonderful staff, spotless rooms, new furniture and decor. Seems too good to be true because its cheap but definitely worth it!!

For the price and location it was what we expected. Goos staff, attentive for the basic needs.

This is a cheap crappy motel. I had no choice as it was the STP week and booked it late and this was the only one available ( obviously ) in Kelso area. Very dated set up. Key wouldn’t open the door , complained and then the front desk guy ( Galvin) came with a thick aluminum wire and inserted through the door and opened it. That’s the height of security there :-) . Anyone with a metal wire can open any door. However you drive may be 5 mins then there are a lot of fast food chains. So location isn’t that bad Just stay away , it’s not worth your money or safety .

Basic hotel. Needs updating. Staff pleasant and accomodating when I changed my room due to water issues.

Clean safe quiet. BSic. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast not great. Minimal selection powdered milk not my thing.
