What a gem of a hotel. Its a beautiful colonial house. 10 mins max Tuk-tuk ride from the Tooth temple and Kandy, up a hill with an outstanding view overlooking Kandy, peaceful and quiet. there are only a 6 rooms and we stayed in the lemongrass deluxe room which was large and a huge spacious bathroom which was beautiful extremely comfortable beds The customer service is exceptional and attentive and especially Nihal and Indika the chef. Food was delicious, small menu however offers everything you want and outstanding breakfast which is prepared to order , best breakfast we had, the chef will do anything for you. All our meals were at a private table in the garden. We would highly recommend this we are aged 50-60 bracket.

In terms of price/performance ratio, it is great value! highly recommended! The boss is a young man, he is enthusiastic, and his English is very good. My English is very poor. I booked it for two days, because I didn't understand a lot when I first arrived in Sri Lanka, so I always troubled the boss on WeChat at any time. The boss also helped me see through the calling card traffic scam. It is really good that the boss is patient! Fortunately, I have chosen his home many times. In the morning, I also asked you the choice of breakfast food for the next day, very carefully. The environment is at the level of a domestic roadside hotel, but the service is at the level of a five-star hotel. There is air-conditioning, a fan, the bath water is hot enough, and the toilet, bath, and face are separated! When I left, I called us a tutu car, the price was so cheap!

We stayed for one night in June 2022. The location is great, right in the middle of Kandy. We were able to walk to the temple of tooth, eat out and shop within seconds from the hotel. The staff were all so lovely, looking after our train tickets, swapping notes for lower amounts and Manjuia and his team went out their way to make a beautiful bedroom set up for our honeymoon. The power went out and within minutes a generator was on which was fantastic. The room was a great size with a balcony and very clean. The only negative and it’s not the hotels fault was the noise from outside during the night. There was a queue of people waiting for fuel outside the hotel so it was noisy through the night. If your looking for a good base in Kandy, look no further.

The gym was fantastic to have and the pool. Kettle and fridge in the rooms. Located very near to the city Centre of Kandy. Really worth the reasonable price! Really personal touch…much appreciated! The hotel with a sense of history, especially the elevator, is a bit interesting. It is very close to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Kangxi Lake. It takes about 5 minutes to walk. It is not convenient to park at the entrance. We have a breakfast and dinner, and things are quite rich. It is quite satisfactory to eat along the way in Sri Lanka. The hotel staff is also very nice, and the quiet room is so the view outside the window is poor.

Full of history itself, the hotel is near many important sites in Kandy. Breakfast was wonderful, as well as the staff. I knew I made a good choice when I came back to my room and found a delightful surprise from housekeeping. I would definitely stay here next time I’m in Kandy.
