The receptionist was terrible, rude, insecure and really bad with the kids. She made us feel really uncomfortable and we wanted to change hotel but the money that we had spent were so much that made us stay there. As you can understand the prices are too high for the hotel’s actual worth. Moreover, it is really dirty and messy. The door wasn’t closing and we found worms in our room. The window was also broken and it couldn’t lock. Awful, scary, terrible experience. I definitely not recommend it.

Beware of staying at this hotel - we believe they are doing a "bait and switch" scheme double booking rooms. You may not get the room you reserved and will be lied to by staff. We booked a sea view suite 4 months in advance. Upon arrival (after waiting over 45 minutes just to be spoken to by someone at the front desk) we were told they had "upgraded" us to a larger room with our own pool. The "upgrade" was not in the main hotel, it was actually in the back of the property with a view of the parking lot and a small, shallow wading pool that was looked down on by other units. We declined the "upgrade" and asked for the sea view room we booked. The Reservation Manager told us the room was no longer available and gave the excuse that we had not paid the deposit even though we had provided all of the necessary credit card information to them as required when we booked the room months before (they later acknowledged this was their fault, not ours). We told them again we want the room that we booked. Next, the Reservation Manager gave the excuse that the air conditioning was not working in that unit and therefore we could not stay in it. We asked to see the room and she refused to show us. A front desk employee later confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the air conditioning and that they had in fact given the room to someone else. We later saw people on the balcony of the room we were supposed to be in. After over 3 hours of wasted precious vacation time waiting, hearing the Reservation Manager's repeated lies and excuses & viewing other inferior rooms, they gave us 2 separate rooms in the main hotel because they did not have one room large enough to fit us (2 adults, 1 child & luggage). One small room had a double bed and the TINY room next door had a single bed. The rooms were not adjoining and we did not feel secure as we had to sleep separately. Also, as we were waiting at the front desk to check in we watched them offer similar "upgrades" to 2 other parties and encountered yet another family on the property who had the same experience as us. We were supposed to stay at Elite for 5 nights but because of the horrible experience we left the next day and went up the coast to the W at Costa Navarino which was excellent and surpassed all expectations. Do not waste your time at Elite City Resort - there is nothing special about this place and there is a good chance you will experience the same disappointment we did.

We found big warms in the room that was terrible in such a luxurious hotel these things shouldn't happen. We even found a gum under a cabinet . A hotel that costs such a big amount of money should me more carefull on the service on their customers who are paying a ton of money to stay there . Unacceptable

I enjoyed the location of the hotel a little bit out of the main drag and closer to nature by being at the end of the beach *****. The staff were all really friendly and the place had a nice vibe to it. The beach infront was magnificent and the bus stops every half hour in i front of the hotel before going into town

Extremely dated hotel. Looks great on the outside and lobby. But hallways are dark and the carpet looks like it’s 100 years old. Rooms are dated, cracked sink.

Rude receptionists 2 out of 3 we encountered. Had booked through a Greek travel agent months before ,we had asked for 2 rooms close by but put in different buildings. Wardrobes had no long hanging space for dresses and the staff could come up with no solution for this! Not even a hook on the back of the door! Food terrible, cold tasteless food, coffee out of a machine was undrinkable No service in restaurant. Had a great pool though and housekeeping staff good The area for guests on the beach could have been so much better but the waiter finished at 5 pm and bar area and menu poor Car parking good but the rooms we stayed in which were not in the hotel were quite a walk from reception and restaurant

The reception was stunning, as was the dining areas and the pool. Downside to pool is it only has one sign saying how deep it is. When you step down the main large steps the is a slope which is dangerous as all of a sudden you are out of you depth, no lines no signs quite scary for not a great swimmer. The beach is right opposite with beautiful clear water, beware of the fish that nip your ankles, didn’t happen to me but dud everytime to my hubby, perhaps he should use more sun block!! The rooms are clean and perfect, corridor to the room is sadly in need of new carpet All staff are amazing and friendly and only to happy to help Definitely recommend

Visited the premises last weekend, it’s March so we didn’t have the chance to try the pools, we stayed at a beautiful bungalow, a double and a single bed plus bathroom with dresser on ground floor plus double bed with dresser on top floor, the high ceiling gave the impression that the room was even bigger so thumbs up for that. It did seem it needed a bit of care yet as I said before it’s still March, perhaps they plan to redecorate or renovate the rooms during April, some form of art would give the rooms even more character. Nearby the rooms there is a playground as well as a basketball/football court which is great for kids of all ages. Breakfast was great, I ended up playing with my food, I created dako salad which consists of chopped tomato, a kind of bread plus feta cheese, I also had broccoli, (you don’t usually find this in a breakfast buffet so bravo), there was even apaki which is a special cold cut meat (apaki is how we call it in Crete, I am sure in the Peloponnese it’s called sth else, apologies for missing this :-) There is a beautiful promenade for walking and jogging by the sea, I could spend hours and hours there, seems like an excellent place for swimming, too. The hotel is not situated down town Kalamata, yet it’s not far away. We would definitely revisit. Thanks for the hospitality!
