A nice resort hotel trying hard to provide facilities for families especially. Outdoor swimming pool is still under renovation. The view from the room has a massive construction site with some noise. Food at all day dining was good and replenished despite holiday masses jostling for food. About a 20rmb taxi drive to main tourist area. Room is comfortable and has standard amenities Byredo Blanche bath products.

The room is big and beautiful. Even the smallest rooms have private pools. The hotel brought us a large plate of fruit upon arrival which was nice to us. The staff were super helpful and courteous. We checked out of the hotel but our flight was cancelled. We had to re-check in. After checking in, I realized that I had accidentally thrown the medicine in the trash. I talked to Li Tianjiao, the front desk manager, and she told me not to be nervous, she would let the housekeeper find my medicine in the hotel rubbish. I want to do it myself. I didn't want to disturb the housekeeper, but the hotel insisted that I rest in the room and let the housekeeper do the dirty work. Wei Qiongzhen room service found my medicine and returned it to me right away. I am grateful that this medicine is not an ordinary prescription. Very expensive. If this were to happen in the US, there would be no way the hotel would have gone through so much trouble to help me. I stay here every time I visit. All the Wanda hotels I stayed in were great!

We had a lovely trip thanks to the friendly and helpful staff of the Yuejiang hotel! They contacted us by WeChat after booking the rooms to organize the free airport pick up (very polite and friendly driver) and answer any questions on our side. The hotel is not located in the heart of Gaozhuang tourist area but still close enough to walk to it but you could also use the free shuttle from the hotel. We were happy with the location: the closer you get to the tourist area the more you hear the loud music from the Starlight Nightmarket. Breakfast was mostly Chinese food but good enough choice to start your day well. The pool was clean and big but a bit chilly to hang around. Nice temperature though if you want to swim a few lanes for exercise. Close to the hotel are a couple of ebike rentals which we did on our last day and the kids loved it! I highly recommend this hotel!

Staying at the Mekong River Jinan was like stepping into another realm. The fade of colours, sounds and jungle mist over the Mekong River, the hustle and bustle of the nearby markets, the balcony to see it all and the soft bed to rest your body and your heart... We could not say enough nice things about this hotel. We had a very enjoyable, relaxing 10 days which was just what was required after a busy semester at work. The two young ladies and one young man at the front desk were extremely helpful and kind (I only know two of their names, Xiao Luo and Xiao Xiang). They were not over bearing and in our faces ever. They were able to help us with every request we asked for when we wanted or needed something. Having a language barrier was never a problem and they were so attentive to our needs via wechat. They were prepared to help with a driver to any sightseeing you wanted to do. There’s great restaurants and things to see and do within walking distance of the hotel too. The cleaning staff were very pleasant from the lady around the pool to the lady cleaning our room. Breakfast had two options, noodles or rice congee, it was always served with a great number of side dishes, more than enough choice from cereal, eggs, bread, as well as milk, a number of freshly prepared vegetables. Due to the great breakfast we rarely ate lunch. You just didn’t need to. We rescued a dog while in Xishuangbanna which the reception staff were really helpful with some of the things we needed to do with the dog! We have stayed in many hotels around the world and Lying Cloud was definitely a highlight. Great location, clean and modern room with good amenities, wonderful front desk staff, clean and well maintained pool and outdoor area at a very, very reasonable price. This hotel came recommended to us via a colleague and we would highly recommend it to other foreigners and Chinese friends too!
