We travel quite a bit as a family ( 2 children ages 7 and 12 ) but don’t always review. This hotel deserves every accolade we could provide. We had a family connecting room which was great and a perfect amount of space for all. Having two bathrooms was a real plus! Beds were comfortable and the room servicing was impeccable. The people go above and beyond, are incredibly kind and hospitable. The hotel is very well kept, clean, and has such a special charm. It is perfectly located to everything in the Old Town and has a beautiful terrace to sit on and enjoy the view of the Bosphorus. We would sit out at night and watch the sun set with a glass of wine and Fanta for the kids. The breakfast is wonderful and excellent quality. Have it included in your stay if you can. It is worth it. We search for great food and this exceeded our expectation. It is so fresh and changes daily. The staff is attentive and so helpful. The shop directly beside, Tencer Gift Shop is so wonderful. The owner is so kind and generous. We recommend getting something from him over the Grand Bazaar. Overall we had an incredible experience at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Sirkeci Mansion from the Canadian Family.

Just to share our experience - we were more families, with kids (some pretty small). We reserved on booking with free cancellation, but the money were withdraw well in advance to our trip. Not the initial conditions, but we were decided to go. The day of our reservation, we called and the reception told us there were no rooms for us available. They seemed to have a technical problem with the water.... After long talks on the phone they redirected us to another hotel, more distant to the main street and with other room configuration. E.g we paid for a 4 persons room and we got 3 persons rooms + a place in a different room. So, our suggestion is to pay attention, both to money taken in advance and to where you will end up sleeping.

First off, The location is good. The room had two windowes. They presented fresh fruits and vegetables at breakfast. The room is nice. Although there are many things to be fixed in the bathroom and it looked like it wasn't used I found dead mosquitoes in the shower. However, the noise coming from the people staying outside the hotel wether it is guests or the resturant is very loud up to 2 after midnight. We arrived at 18:00 evening hours, the reception guy was very rude when we asked him politely to check if there are rooms in upper floors, we only asked didn't even insist. After 12 hours of travel, we only wanted the room. We stayed 5 nights in this hotel. They charged us 90€ per night for one room. For this price we could have gone to a way better hotel with better treatment and breakfast. The breakfast room there were flies, i would suggest you work on hygiene. AND NO tell your breakfast manager, CORONA IS NOT OVER. You can keep that to yourselves. Some of us actually lost loved ones to Covid 19. Just respect it and dont comment on guests wearing masks the whole time we stayed every morning he had to comment on it, even if you mean well just stop. We were told breakfast opens at 07:00, the day we had a trip, we were there at 07:00 and the resturant was not ready. So just update your guests. And when it is 09:00 they stop refreshing food. So just pay attention not to be late for your breakfast. Actually the breakfast had a variety of food but I just rather to buy outside since the coffee is not tasty, I found a beard hair in the vegetable salad. So again HYGIENE IS IMPORTANT. breakfast room is relatively small and has low celieng which is a nightmare. Overall I would not want to come back to this hotel nor Istanbul again.

First the good news, hotel location cannot be faulted. And that's it, a solitary good point! Before travelling, I let the hotel know my wife was pregnant. To thank us, they gave us the furthest room from the lobby in the old part of the hotel where the rooms were tired and dated. Don't expect things to work, such as lights, A/C, TV and windows. Most importantly, the bed was so uncomfortable I managed to come back with a severe back spasm which still is causing me issues! Add to that the poor customer service. No help was given when asked. The night manager is genuinely a head shaking brick wall. Even before finishing the sentence/request he is shaking his head whilst shouting NO. He really has the easiest job known to man. Despite the reviews here about the great breakfast, it is woeful. Same food everyday, very limited choice, no cakes or pastries. Coffee is dire. And if any item runs out, it WILL NOT be replenished. According to the rude staff, there is a milk shortage in Turkey. I had to bring my own, despite paying for this so called breakfast. The day manager does seem to be more willing, changing my room on the final night but unfortunately this was too little too late. I am thoroughly disgusted by this place and can safely say they ruined my trip without doubt.
