Hotel Nacional de Cuba

The building needs refurbishment , rooms are outdated, bathroom with mold. But most importantly, it’s not safe! Some of my clothes disappeared from my luggage in our room after me and my husband left it for 20 min upon our arrival. Important to highlight, our room had an inner door to the adjoining room. Maybe someone came in through that door rather then from the corridor. Personnel claimed they didn’t see anything on the cameras. We were supposed to stay in this hotel again on our way back, but wanted to cancel explaining the situation given that we didn’t feel safe at all at this hotel!! The hotel refused to refund us. We have not even received any apologies for this incident. We are very disappointed with Hotel Nacional de Cuba which was supposed to be a flagship of the local hotels and the landmark of Havana. This is outrageous!

I have felt very comfortable specially with the staff, they are very kind and helpful. I just finished the hotel tour that was very interesting. Yarelis was our hostess and she showed great knowledge about the place. I will recommend the hotel Navional to my friends.

In this hotel the service is excellent, the workers always try to meet our expectations as customers. It is eco friendly, it has a beautiful garden with several species of animals and plants. It keeps intact its initial structure, it is a trip back in time. I love it

To be honest I've seen better standard hotels in my live.... But the whole experience was great you really feel history in this almost 100 years place. live music in the beautiful garden every night is 5 stars no doubt about it. One of the highlights of this hotel was the guided tour around the Hotel. Our guide Anabell was very professional her historical knowledge, her English is really on the highest level. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Even if you not planning stay in this hotel I highly recommend that you take that tour (everyday at 10am). You won't regret it.

Many great spots in this highly elegant and historic building. We had a tour here which went into the history which is highly recommended as you understand the true history of the building and why it is so important. Multiple bars and seating areas are both covered and uncovered for the Caribean sun. Always lively and full of vibrant and exciting events and people. Is a must-visit in Havana.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel over Christmas and New year 2021 for 2 weeks. Though the hotel does have its charm, sadly it’s in desperate need of repair and updating, everything in the room looks tired. The positives - bed was comfortable, views were lovely over the sea, the main swimming pool was clean and tidy, the staff were mostly friendly but very laid back in their service, cleaning maids were lovely and helpful. Terrace bar was very relaxing. Negatives - food was not great, hairdryer not fit for purpose, some of the electrical sockets didn’t work, coffee machine needed replacing as it leaked and was very slow to make coffee, walls were thin, you could hear people in neighbouring rooms and as the floors were tiled, you could hear furniture being moved about and people talking, the room felt damp and the bed linen smelt musty and there were stains on mattress protector. Havana was bustling but not enough to do for 2wks (our mistake), 4 days would be enough. We used an American taxi which was €30 per hour and that was enjoyable.

Stayed at this hotel for business trip back in 2023. Very cozy place, location is great. Staffs are awesome and professional, maybe becuase of the hotel name and reputation. Joined the conference at the main hall, next level hall with everything that's needed for big meetings.

Arrived late, check in was good, given voucher for free drink, was lovely. Room was lovely, bed and pillows really comfy, confusion at bar as a couple of days paid in local currency, then was told could only pay for beer on a card, but could pay cash for cocktails. Alot of the staff are miserable, and the snack bar never seemed to have any food, hotel is beautiful, very historic, just a little tired, overall good hotel.

We felt as if we were watched all the time, the service was ok, at the places outside the hotel everything was pretty ugly and destroyed like war was occurred, what we really liked was the view of the ocean.
