I don't know where to start with this review it's that bad here it's laughable. Stayed as part of a theatre break with omega and they should hang there head in shame sending people here! I appreciate its a budget hotel but it's not even clean. We changed room three times and all equally dirty and in need of decorating, they smell too (awful) a cross between damp and dirt. We arrived and the lady on reception couldn't check us in as the computer was down, didn't know which rooms were clean (none of them is my guess). Said the manger would arrive in an hour to sort out (new receptionist been here a week), when Kayleigh did show up said she wasnt the manager there isn't one and off sick and did little to alleviate a bus load if peoples grievances. Your telling me a huge corporate chain like mecure but couldn't get anyone on phone to speak too. First allocated room after 1.5 hours in reception. Was initially given a key and walked in on people getting changed as room already in use (huge security risk) When we arrived in the third room god awful stain carpets, holes in wall and dirty sheets (and I mean dirty looked like urine of blood stained ). Managed to find a chamber maid in the corridor to come and change bed. She did so but when *****ping the bed (no mattress protection) we saw the state of the mattress underneath (equally stained ). We flipped the mattress and she remade the bed. Pillows are dirty and so thin (my dog has a better pillow in his bed). No food available on a Saturday afternoon (not that I'd want to risk it, no staff for the bar). Lots of other small issues tea tray with 1 tea bag, no remote for TV, no information on breakfast etc. I appreciate the budget but cleanliness is a must. Had we not been stuck by being in a caoch trip 100% would not have stayed it really is that bad. The hotel needs closing down. Asked at reception for a formal complaint procedure given an email for the lady who "wasnt a manger" and she'd pass it on. Clearly short staffed across all areas of the hotel. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Omega will also be getting feedback they should be ashamed to associate themselves with this quality.

This hotel is dated and nothing special. So E staff were good, others less so. some wore uniforms others didn’t a few looked a bit scruff. Room was okay but quite a lot if noise from the rood. There was a fire door at the end of the corridor that was left open most of the time from staff and customers going out there to smoke. Not great for security and meant that corridor often smelt of smoke. Breakfast was a bit confusing, the first morning they took orders, the next day it was a hot buffet, although you still have to order toast and drinks .

Got to be worst hotel ever stayed in makes travelogde look 5 star . No coffee or milk in room . Service worst ever . restaurant staff don’t have a clue about customer service at no point was I approached when you look for them they are hiding in kitchen . Breakfast no coffee no toast or bread food cold and the scrammbled egg actually looked burnt as it has Ben there that long . Wouldn’t even feed it to dogs. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to write a review that is negative but this service is shocking . Tape coving smoke sensor in rooms

Everything you have read in reviews is true. Loads of water damage in the rooms. Active leaks. Wet carpet. Unidentifiable smells throughout. Questionable fire door policy. No air conditioning. Microwave meals served. Little details you’d see in other hotels are completely overlooked. Did I mention the smell and water damage? Let’s face it, this hotel needs a lot, I mean a lot, of love. However, one can’t write a review without mentioning the folks who work here. They get five stars. They must know this hotel needs some work, but their attitudes are great. When we checked in, the front desk team member helped carry our bags. (giant bags for Uni move in.) The gentleman at the bar was quick to get us ice. If you are looking for a posh place to stay, this is not for you. If you need a place to crash near UH, why not? To the folks at Mercure: shame on you. This area could use a nice (didn’t say fancy) hotel. You have a great staff. Spend the money and fix the mold/leaks. Clean the carpets. Fix the water damage. Put in AC.

The minute you walk in you wish you had booked elsewhere. The a**osphere is grim. Asked for a quiet room and was given 305. from 6am until 8am there was constant crashing around below, I guess it was above the kitchen. Our friends heard the same in 303. I would advise avoiding 301-307. Breakfast is mediocre.

I stayed in this hotel on the 8th of September first room to give me was a used room back down to reception on way down for the door was open behind reception reception staff very friendly exchange my room I made up with some friends and went out on my return at 2:45 a.m. my at the end of the hall to my room what is a totally different fire exit door was Hill open would a rock which in my opinion this hotel is being used as a bottle with all fire exit doors been held open for the clients to come in now Tralee and by law fire exit doors should have alarms on them but not in this hotel unfortunately my advice is not to bring your family or friends to this hotel it is not safe

Well located hotel just off the A1(M) so there was road noise in our room but not that bad. Room a little dated but clean and tidy. On arrival we were missing several items, towel, tea, coffee etc but delivered by reception. Room not cleaned daily. Breakfast delayed Saturday but we were allowed a late breakfast when I returned. Sunday breakfast poor, cold, under cooked sausages and not enough for everyone. We were told staff and food storages were the reasons for these problems. Hotel itself has plenty of parking and was clean and tidy.

Stayed here as part of a wedding party. The bride and groom had booked this months in advance and provided a full breakdown of room allocation to the hotel in advance. We arrived a day earlier and we’re greeted with a very defensive manager who blamed the lack of organisation on the bride and groom. Spent a good 30 minutes at reception to double check everything would be ok ahead of the next day when close to maybe 100-200 guests would arriving. He assured us several times it would be. Clearly this had not been done which resulted in mass chaos, wrong rooms being given out, people walking into our room (when changing) because they’d be given incorrect keys. Dirty bedding which my friend waited until 11pm to receive clean bedding for. My bed had springs poking out and I did ask for a mattress protector but surprise it never did arrive at all. The other members of staff were friendly and pleasant but ultimately had no idea what was going on or what to do. I felt really bad for them in the end at the pure lack of management support or guidance as it was likely a hugely stressful experience for them. Total total chaos and it was just a shame that it meant the brides immediate family were late to the evening reception as a result. Everything could have been improved with actual organisation which seems non existent.
