Hotels near Hakone Gōra Park in Hakone

It is a very suitable hotel for anyone to stay together. This time I chose two days and one night including breakfast and dinner. Hotel staff are very friendly The restaurant is a buffet style with many styles and is well worth a try There are public hot spring facilities and saunas. If you need a private hot spring, you can make a reservation in advance for extra money. The cost is not too expensive (remember to buy a bottle of milk after soaking in the hot spring) There is also a hot spring park nearby for fun, but I was too busy to visit it this time. There are many places to check in, and friends who like to check in and take photos are highly recommended to stay in this hotel.

We used the Fuji Hakone pass and will have to stay one night in the Hakone area. We picked this hotel because it’s right next to the Gora station and later on we also found out that the bus stop to take the bus to Fuji area was just next to the hotel. They helped us to keep our luggage before we went further to Owakudani and Lake Ashi. Food is fantastic. We have dinner and breakfast at the common dining area. They didn’t offer free drinks like other onsen hotels might do. We stayed at the room with outdoor bath and found out later before the trip that the water is not real onsen water but regular water. However, with the location, this is unbeatable.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is just a few minutes walk to the Hakone shrine and tori gate on the water and about 15 minutes walk to the town by the water. From the town you can catch the pirate ship or ferry to the base of the cable car and head up the mountain to other attractions. The hotel grounds are lovely and full of pathways lined with Rhododendrum. The rooms are a great size and all have a view of the lake. I stayed on the third floor and in my opinion rooms on the third and fourth floors have a better view but the second floor rooms have a balcony and the first floor rooms have patios. The hotel provides yukatas and all toiletries you might need. The hotel onsen is small but nice and also has an outdoor bath. The hotel spa is very relaxing with a variety of services. I did not have dinner at the property but breakfast was very good. Every staff member I encountered was extremely professional, courteous and friendly. My only complaint is the mattress was very firm and I prefer some thing softer but that is a personal preference.

Great value for money. It is very close to Atami Station, a 5-minute walk, very convenient. After exiting the JR station, turn left and walk straight ahead (passing the bus station, there is a Family Mart opposite). Self check-in, remember to ask the staff for a kettle when checking in, as there is no one in the room; disposable items such as toothbrushes and cups can be obtained from the elevator. However, breakfast is a small sandwich and coffee, which is not full and is not recommended. You can store your luggage in the hotel before check-in (automatic luggage box on the first floor). The MOA Art Museum can be reached directly by bus in front of the hotel, but it is still recommended to go to Atami Station to take the bus, otherwise there may be no seats. The staff is rather cold-faced and unenthusiastic. Another bad thing is that on the way from Atami Station to the hotel, you will pass by a heavenly burial ground, which is a bit unlucky~ Everything else is perfect~

I read great reviews about Hakone Pax Yoshino. It's an older hotel in a tourist town and appears quite nice. My room was OK, large and could use some updating. My traditional dinner and service was spectacular, hence my 3-star rating. What tainted a one-night stay is I was traveling with a vegetarian friend and not only was she shut out of a dinner she paid for, but the front desk agent said they couldn't accommodate her, there would be no refund or substitutions, because we were traveling as solos we couldn't sit together - so many ”couldn'ts” that were simply not true. This tainted my stay and I went alone to dinner - plenty of room for another person - which was great. I was embarrassed that I had picked this hotel for friends to stay separately and upon arrival was told that our plan didn't include meals, which they sure did. So, at the front desk for about $300 per night, everything is ”couldn't”. Breakfast was just OK compared to dinner. I loved wearing the yakata and having hot spring water in the room's tub (which could use updating) was nice. In the morning, I was told to reserve a spot on a shuttle to the train station for what reason, I'm not sure. When no shuttle showed up for me, my friend and others waiting - and waiting - and waiting - we were then told that the shuttle doesn't always show up. Why the reservation for something that doesn't happen? The front desk could not request a cab, another ”couldn't”. Since most of us leaving had trains to catch and tours scheduled, we walked the 15 minutes or so to the station in the rain. I saw other guests I met while waiting also drenched at the station. In short, I'm not impressed though so much of Japan has impressive accommodations and kindness. Hakone Pax Yoshino falls short. For that reason, I wouldn't stay again and don't recommend it. Too bad, because the traditional dinner and restaurant serving staff are top notch. I'm sure the chef - and a dinner this good has to have a chef - would have said to serve a vegetarian rice, vegetables, desserts of which there were several as well as a large drink menu and other dishes - and the experience would have been better. Unfortunate that the front desk person we had could only say no, you don't have, we can't. Well, I think they could have. Very sad.

If you are visiting Japan for more than a few days you must have a Ryokan on your bucket list – here we were greeted with a traditional tes reception and departed with memorable gifts – our room was full on Japanese down to the futons and the miniature table and chairs – there was an open veranda with a private onsen (built for two hot spring pool) – great for early morning wakeup and relaxation before sleeping – the food was divine – the table spread with many dishes of delicious offerings – I can’t say enough here – the Ryokan was established 140 years ago and served travellers on the dusty road to Tokyo – there are still some of the original rooms preserved – a large public onsen (study the etiquette before taking a dip) and a sizable garden to wander around and work off the breakfast – we were there for four nights in an area full of places to go and see and I regret we did not use some of the time to just relax and enjoy the experience – as you can see we loved this place – if there was a six I would gladly give it.

I stayed at tiger no Yu for the first time. Despite Saturday nights, it was a reasonable price setting, so it was a high reputation, but I didn't expect much. First of all, the facility is like a recreational center of former Dentsu, and the interior and exterior of the red bricks have a luxury feeling and were surprised. The making is different from the hotel, but it is ◎. The hot spring is only inner hot water, but it is even thin and cloudy. The smell of sulfur smells a little at the outlet of the hot water, but it is hardly in the bathroom. Because the amount of water in the source is small, it seems to be a hanging flow after only water, and the skin becomes svesve, and it is a very good spring quality. After the hot water rises, the pokapoka continues for a while. The cow shab for dinner is an alternative service, but I received only half a time because it was difficult to ask. There are a volume of vegetables and salads, so if you flatten them all, you will be quite full if you are a woman or a thin man of food. However, dinner was a happy miscalculation. 3 appetizers are also good. sesame dallet and ponvinegar are not hard and the taste of meat is not *. Meat is also peach meat? I couldn't tell you whether it was a place, but it was a moderate frost, and it was the best choice to eat it with shab shab. You can enjoy the sweetness and taste of the meat without getting tired. However, it may be because I replaced meat when I began to swell, but the meat that I replaced a little bit smelled more subtle than the sweetness of meat than the first meat, and I thought ”eh” for a moment. I added ponvinegar and asagi, but my wife didn't notice it, so it may be my temper. The dessert vanilla ice cream is thick and the mix berry sauce is handmade? Is it, it was very delicious and enjoyed until the end. In general, it was a look, taste, volume and a very satisfying dinner in oneself. Breakfast is cute in appearance, but it seems that I arranged almost the thing that was made, and there is not much handmade feeling. The hot tofu and shake were warm. I think the customer service attitude is good, but I feel the shortage of personnel at meals. I think it is different if I use it on weekdays because this day is full. I think it is not possible to use this inn at this accommodation because I reduced the labor cost and the service. It is helpful to be able to stay at this content at this price in Sengokuhara.

If you take the bus, you must go to Tianyou. Although it is a 600-meter walk from Xiaochong Garden, the slope is really steep. The hotel has a bus to and from Gora. The earliest bus is 9:23 and the last bus back is 16:45. Get off and go through the tunnel to Gora Station. The room is large, but there are caterpillars hanging on the ceiling, and insects similar to bees are also seen. A large spider is seen in the bathhouse. There are many bugs in the mountains and it is unavoidable, but you still need to pay attention to cleaning. The front desk taught me how to heat hot water in the bathroom, but it didn't work. If you go to the bathhouse to soak in the hot springs, the hot water in the room doesn't matter. There are bathhouses in the east and west buildings, and the usage hours are different. There are no people every time I go there, and it feels good to reserve the baths.

This is an inn that is easy to go to with few slopes and is within a moderate distance to walk from Hakone Yumoto Station through the street of a souvenir shop and in front of a liquor store and convenience store. Towels from the participating schools of Hakone Ekiden were exhibited in the lobby, and the afterglow of the New Year remained. The large communal bath is also covered with tatami mats. The open-air bath is small, and the landscape is green on the slopes, reminiscent of the forest, mountain inns, and ancient capitals. The open-air, ２ or private bath seems to come out of the bathtub when the hot water decreases. Or it seems to come out when the hot water temperature drops. I've been standing in Oita since I first visited, but it seems that some facilities are aging. My wife said that there was a place where the shower holder was removed in the women's bathroom. However, overall, I didn't feel old and felt that it was a clean inn. There is no problem with the service of the staff, but I felt a little less energetic (quiet?) Compared to the series of Suiyun. You may be tired from working on New Year's Day. I didn't notice the open-air bath with a room from spring to autumn, but the bathtub that seemed to be made of pottery was cold and it was a little lukewarm even if I put hot water in it. Since it is boiling water, I thought it would be better to raise the temperature of the water more in winter. The restaurant is partly side-by-side, which is good for preventing infection, but it is difficult to do sukiyaki unless you line up well with left-handed and right-handed people. I hardly drank, but I don't remember applying at the time of booking, but it was a New Year's service or all-you-can-drink. For example, if you want to eat a meal of １ 10,000 yen at a local restaurant, you should come here on weekdays and stay here if you can make a reservation and eat dinner, so it is an inn that you want to go actively.

The pick-up and drop-off range is only to Lake Ashi and the station. Environment: The environment is very good. The Japanese-style room can directly see Lake Ashi, but the way up the mountain is really difficult. If you take the bus, the interval is half an hour. And if you go up by yourself, you need to read the street signs. The road from the bus station to the hotel is If there is no signal, you cannot use navigation. It is more suitable for people who like mountain climbing or adventure. Because it is really high, it is not recommended for those who are afraid of heights to walk by themselves. Hygiene: The living room and room are very clean. There are quilt covers, but you need to pay attention to laying them yourself. If you don't use a quilt cover, you may be charged extra, but after all, it is in the mountains, so there will be some bugs, such as small spiders. Facilities: The hot springs are separated for men and women. There are two pools, both indoors and outdoors. There is no difference. However, if you go outdoors at night, there will be bugs attracted by the lights. There is no bath in the room, it is together with the hot spring, and slippers are required to enter the entrance hall (especially Japanese-style rooms), and there is a beverage machine next to it.
