Hotel Prag Continental Guwahati

Pathetic room. Pathetic ***agement Stains on bed sheet, no proper hot water, Sub-standard food. The hotel has gone wrong on the basics. Front ***ager - Ridit Dottah has no customer service etiquette or any training. The front ***ager also doubles up as the ***ager of the hotel which is abysmal since his standard statement is "This is not my Job" on any issues brought to his notic. Overall avoidable hotel. Try Ginger instead...

Alright, so I stayed at this hotel recently, and it was honestly pretty great. First off, the location was handy – not too far from everything. The rooms got a makeover, and they looked good. Like, they were modern but still cozy. I appreciated that. What stood out to me, though, was how clean everything was. And they had everything you could need – amenities-wise. It was like they thought of everything. I didn't have to go hunting for stuff; it was all just there.

Good hotel .Specially the front office people and dining service is very good. The rooms are a bit small. Ridip the front office head is just amazing .Just the hotel needs to get new Linens.Good hotel at reasonably good prices. Enjoyed staying

I have booked 3 rooms for my 6 guest at Prag Continental which was my major blunder which lead to a pathetic and embarrassing situation for me to guest .Two day prior of my guest arrival i got a call where it was informed by the hotel authority that there has been a major short circuit in the floors for which they want to shift my booking to another hotel where my guest need to stay and for food they have to come to Prag Continental which itself was an extraordinary experience I would present to my guest which i denied ,my guest at last checked in to the hotel .As it was informed to us about the short circuit in the hotel the same was informed to the guest so they were mentally prepared. So know the issues i want to highlight are. 1.In a city like Guwahati a hotel claiming to be a three star hotel(WHICH I DOUBT) has no backup plan to sort out the issue where u had enough time to do so. 2.AC & Television was not working.AC winds broken (We understand techlical issues happens but not all the three rooms and the ***agement should have check the rooms before the same is offered to a guest.) 3.The rooms never looked to be a three star category(God knows when the last time maintenance has taken place for the rooms). 4. Rooms and bathrooms are hardly clean the stinks. The WC was not cleaned (I hope the WC in the railway department are well maintained u can find the same in the attached pictures.) 5.Cracks in the rooms . 6.It was the first hotel in my life where a Buffet for Package dinner starts after 9 pm so imagine a guest who has a flight to catch early morning needs to wait that long for his food. Short Circuit was oky and accepted but the unhygienic & poor maintenance and worst service experience which has no justification. The General ***ager of the hotel called but his tone of speaking showed a unbending nature . High time for the ***agement & the owner days are gone of monopoly business option are open .Owners should not only focus on numbers (Revenue) take some keen interest in the hospitality and the service up gradation .I cancelled my second booking with the hotel. Considering the terrible experience I had, I will neither ever want to stay there myself, nor recommend you to send any Guest. Again thanks for spoiling my guest stay. I wish I can give negative ratings..

The bathroom was the slipperiest we have come across and Idly Sambar served were the worst. I will suggest other seniors intending to book this hotel to have adequate medical insurance for hipbone fracture treatment to mitigate the likely the likely situation of tripping in bathroom. The front office staff are however impressive and Mr. Datta of them intervened and arranged two extra pouches for us when the room service staff refused it.

Nice hotel, good staff..and the food quality is awesome..Best part is the hotel staff are very positive they will never make u disappoint..the rooms are specious, and neatly cleaned..Staff are very suppor6to the guests need and always give you positive responses

I am currently (9th Jan) with my family in Hotel Prag Continental Guwahati and will check out today at 12.00 noon. This hotel is good to stay at PanBazar. All staffs are very good and polite. Particularly He***t Kalita of Restaurant boy. His service quality is superb. Wanted a cup of coffee just almost at the closing hours of breakfast. He himself prepared and served me. Foods are very tasty and delicious. Overall this hotel is good but they need to learn that hospitality should come first followed by business. They follow the business route ignoring the hospitality. During checking they wanted full amount of entire stay as this is their policy. When enquired no satisfactory response came except saying this is their policy. Now after paying when got the room it was stiffy and small. Wanted to see other room which was stinking. Instant response "Sir freshener de dega". Had no option as full amount paid, so opted for that room. Then realized there was water flowing from the wash basin in the bathroom. Entire day we had suffered as they repaired it in the second day. So please take judicious call while choosing this hotel.
