Guangzhou Shamian Island YATLAND

Fangcun District Guangzhou|1.29km from Monument of Shakee Massacre
I booked two room types for two consecutive nights, respectively on the fourth and fifth floors of the hotel. The hotel is located in a dilapidated park (1850 Creative Park) beside Fangcun Pier. It is in a building near the river. It will be opened in October 2023. I was originally worried that it would smell like decoration. After checking in, I found that every room has There is an air freshener and the windows are open for ventilation. According to my personal test, there is indeed no decoration smell, but there is a little strange smell in the room. I guess it may be the odor of the sewer. The river view room is located on the 5th floor, but the entire hotel building is perpendicular to the Pearl River. The so-called river view room does not have a full view. What you see is half of the river view, and the other half is the messy landscape of the building next door. If you want to see the river view, You can go to the breakfast area on the 6th floor, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Pearl River. Let’s talk about the hotel facilities: the newly renovated hotel has relatively new facilities, dry and wet separation, smart toilet, large shower water, sufficient hot water, smart Xiaodu can ask it to help turn on and off the lights, turn on and off the air conditioner, and the robot delivers things, it is very Convenience. But the soundproofing of the hotel is a big flaw. I was watching TV in the next room, and I could hear the plot clearly as if I had the TV on. What's even worse is that the neighbor's TV is turned on until 12 o'clock with no intention of ending. The waiter reminded me to turn down the volume of the TV. In the quiet environment of the night, even using the earplugs provided by the hotel is useless. The characters on the TV next door are useless. The dialogues and theme music are blaring to the ears, which is unspeakably painful. Fortunately, in the end, the front desk helped me arrange another room to sleep in (a thumbs up to her here). Finally, let’s talk about the hotel’s surroundings. There is currently no ferry from Fangcun Pier. Although there is Shamian Island across the river, you have to go around to get to the opposite side. There are basically no commercial outlets in a radius of one kilometer. The nearby bus station is 500 meters away and the subway station is 1.2 kilometers away. If you are not driving by yourself or can't ride a bicycle, it is not recommended. Imagine dragging your suitcase on a bumpy road or getting off the subway after going out late and having to walk more than 1 kilometer to get to the hotel. If it's not a special forces tour, let's not suffer ourselves. Besides, hotel room rates are not cheap, around 400 on weekdays and 800+ on holidays. The price/performance ratio is too low.

South of Pearl River
We booked a river view suite. Though the room was a bit dated but its size and floorplan was more like a presidential suite especially overlooking the pearl River. The river view was very grand and unblocking.. We really enjoyed the night view with multiple nightly cruises passed by every evening. The 5 star White swan hotel, people s bridge and ”sand face Island” were all within our view. As we are more like vegetarian, the Asian breakfast buffet have enough dishes for our taste. In fact, I can accept eating that type of breakfast everyday. To enhance your experience, you can walk across the people's bridge to ”sand face Island” through the old French style buildings and finally lead to the white swan hotel (if your budget allow, have a meal there). Of course, we did all those and more. What I didn't like and what the hotel needs to improve, please give hotel guests free access to the spa within the same building.

First time staying in a hostel, it feels pretty good 🚗 Transportation: Metro Line 8 and Fuxi Exit A. It's about 5 to 60 meters across the road. Super convenient! ! ! 🧹 Hygiene: Hygiene is really super good and super clean. As the first time for me to live, the hygiene is really lacking! One customer, one change. You need to cover the quilt cover, bed sheet and pillow case yourself, and you need to put it in the linen room after you leave the store. There is no need to worry about hygiene at all! 🍃Environment: The environment is simply not great, the river side is on the left side of the door! And there is an over-sized rooftop upstairs, which is very windy at night, so comfortable! The public space is also huge! The people inside are super nice! Occasionally, the store also holds events or something. It’s good! 🔔Service: The service is simply amazing! If you are not used to living in a multi-person room, you can tell the front desk to help you change to a single room! marvelous! One small downside is that the single room always has a strange smell, and it feels uncomfortable after a long time. I hope the store can improve it.

The house is very beautiful, the children especially like it! As soon as I lived in the evening, I said that I would not go out to play at night, and said that I would like to stay in a small room and enjoy it. Just at Zhangzhou Pier, take the ferry 2 yuan to the opposite side of the river, there is the Guangdong Customs Museum, and it is also very close to Shamian Island by bicycle. It is very comfortable to go to the door at night to blow the river breeze. recommend!
