As my wife and I celebrated a special occasion during our recent stay at The Westin Guangzhou, we were met with an extraordinary experience that went beyond our expectations. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted with friendly smiles and a warm welcome, setting the stage for an impeccable stay. Our room was spacious, offering contemporary decor and luxurious comfort. The captivating city views added an extra touch of enchantment to our stay. The plush bedding and indulgent amenities ensured that we had a restful and rejuvenating night's sleep. What made our stay truly exceptional was the hotel's personalized service. Upon checking in, I casually mentioned that it was my wife's birthday. Little did we know that the Westin Guangzhou would exceed our expectations by surprising her with a magnificent birthday cake. The staff arranged the cake with utmost care and consideration, reflecting the hotel's commitment to creating memorable experiences for their guests. Every encounter with the hotel staff was nothing short of outstanding. They were attentive, responsive, and always ready to go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. The Westin Guangzhou's dedication to customer service is truly commendable. During our stay, we also had the opportunity to indulge in the hotel's culinary delights. The restaurant options were diverse, offering an extensive range of delectable dishes. The breakfast buffet was both scrumptious and satisfying, catering to every taste and preference. The Westin Guangzhou's prime location truly adds to its appeal. Situated in the heart of the city, it provides convenient access to numerous tourist attractions, shopping destinations, and vibrant nightlife. Whether we wanted to explore the local culture or unwind in luxury, the hotel's convenient location had us covered. In conclusion, our stay at The Westin Guangzhou was an exceptional experience. Baiyun Hotel

Taojin/East Huanshi Road/Guangzhou Zoo Guangzhou|2.42km from Mister Zhu Zhixin's Tomb Passage
Hotel room: 0 (zero) star Hotel location: 4 (four) stars Hotel staff services: 5 (five stars) We checked into a room on 1/25/2024 for a 6-night stay. We realized the room smelled smoke even though we requested a non-smoking room. The worst was the bathroom's strong, moldy, foul smell, which is a health hazard and unacceptable. On top of it, the in-room HVAC thermostat doesn't work, which we didn't notice until the next morning. We suffered without fresh air circulation and high room temperature all night long. The following day, thanks to the friendly, accommodating front desk staff, we could change to another room with no issues like the previous one. Even the room we changed to also has maintenance issues, such as the ceiling light above the nightstand hanging loose from the ceiling and exploding electrical wires. And the bathroom Faucet is loose, etc., unfortunately. Besides the exceptional overall staff services, the hotel is conveniently located in a local neighborhood, a perfect alternative for tourists who want to experience the truth of Guangzhou. Suppose Baiyun Hotel is positioned as an international five-star hotel. In that case, besides sustaining excellent staff services, improving room maintenance, upgrading the aging hotel, and paying attention to the details is essential. Outstanding staff service or a profound hotel history couldn't substitute necessities such as an operational thermostat or a foul smell in the bathroom. Having said that, I wouldn't consider Baiyun Hotel when we visit Guangzhou next time, nor would I recommend it to others due to my experiences with the hotel room.

#Praise# for the price/performance ratio, the room lighting, the comfort of the bedding is satisfactory;#Negative review# for the size of the room, sound insulation disappointment;, the service attitude is very good, not expensive. The only dissatisfaction is that the merchant's description of the room face is too different, plus the actual total area of the bathroom is about 15 square meters, but the merchant's description is 30 square meters, the difference is too far, misleading users, please describe the merchant truthfully.

The location of the hotel is very convenient for shopping, eating and entertainment, highly recommended! The price is not expensive in the urban area, and the accommodation environment and sanitation are better than those of the same price.

Guangzhou hotels rarely have air conditioning and heating. I came to the front desk of the hotel and asked about the heating room. The little sister at the front desk said that there was. If you feel that it is not warm enough, we can also add quilts at any time. I feel so intimate! Will come next time.

The location is good, very close to the subway, and the environment is a bit old. There is a restaurant (old hotel) where you can have morning tea next door, and many local elderly people visit it. The taste and price are okay (3 people spend 105 yuan)
