Best Three Star Hotels in Fussen

Quiet location a pleasant walk from the town centre near a lake and walks. Very friendly, helpful staff and a great buffet breakfast.Cosy and very clean bedroom. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it.

We were here for four days in March with our three-year-old twins, because I was happy to visit the castle of Neuschwanstein before the masses of tourists come back. Unfortunately, the accommodation can be described only with a few words: Incredible!!! The greeting was very warm and the check-in was made quickly. Furthermore, there were already various tips for the stay. Parking are available free. The hotel is family-run - and that is from deep passion. Here is the customer still king! The room was huge (sense bigger than booked) and the view top! Cleanliness also leaves no wishes open. The breakfast was simple but convenient at a fair price. Our children also felt very well and were, despite the age, pleased guests. Price performance is unslaughterable - a small anecdote. On the first night we were eating in a restaurant and ordered two main dishes, 1 bottle of water and one beer - pricefully as expensive as a night including breakfast. We will definitely come back!

In the town of Fussen, not far from the train station, quiet. The scenery is very beautiful and you can see the snowy mountains in the distance. The service is very good and the breakfast is good. It is the shower in the room that is not easy to use, no one is repairing

It walks about 15 minutes from the station, but the scenery on the way is beautiful and it will not be bitter. It is surprisingly convenient in about 10 minutes from the center and the lake. The front desk was very kind and gave me a fussen pass. It is helpful because the bus is available for free and the ticket for some tourist facilities is discounted. The room is clean and cozy. There is also a spa, but German culture seems to be normal for men and women, and eventually it was not used.

Felsey is located at the crossroads of Füssen town centre to the north of the town. It takes less than 20 minutes to drag the suitcase from Füssen train station, and more than 10 minutes of foot speed can be reached. The hotel is not on the side of the road, so be sure to pay attention to the yellow tourist street sign, turn in from the indicated place, it will be almost arrived, there will be another street sign to continue to prompt. This hotel is a bit like the style of the hotel haus, not big but clean and exquisite, with a small courtyard, breakfast and dinner can be eaten in the restaurant, can also eat in the small courtyard, drink a small wine after dinner, very comfortable. The town of Fussen is really beautiful and quiet, especially in the area around Lake Forggen in the north. Although it is far away from the town center, it takes ten minutes to walk, but the people are really scarce, staying for three nights, if not going to the theater. There are very few people on the road, and almost no one who does not speak German has met. There are many elderly people living here. The front desk of the hotel and the waiter and sister are very enthusiastic. I have a question and answer. I ask for directions almost every day. They will talk very carefully and give a new map every time. I had a transfer bus cancelled at that time, and also called the bus company for me. I asked in detail how to change the ticket and how to refund the ticket. I also checked the train ticket schedule and let me catch up with the most suitable. A train, strong praise! As soon as the hotel enters, there is a surrounding tourist information wall, a description of the fare of the three attractions of Neuschwanstein, the cruise schedule of Lake Forggen, as well as discounted advertisements for the theater, etc. The road at the entrance looks out into the distant mountains. We can see Neuschwanstein, and the hotel should be able to see the room in this direction, like the feeling of living in a fairy tale. Go to the train station for ten minutes during the day, then take the 73 and 78 bus for ten minutes, go to the ticketing center of Neuschwanstein Castle, visit a set of three attractions (New, Goshen Castle, Bavarian King's Museum), sit in the afternoon Returning to Fussen by bus, I watched a story about the king of Neuschwanstein at the Festspielhaus on the shores of Lake Forggen in the evening. The tour of Neuschwanstein was completed and I watched the locals of various Kua Ludwig II. The feeling is full of pink fan filters 😂. When the summer is hot, walk from the back road of the hotel to the shore of Lake Forggen, and watch the pictures of the locals swimming under the red net of the world, the Neuschwanstein Castle.

Wir haben 9 Nächte im Aktiv-Hotel Schweiger verbracht. Das Hotel liegt in Gehdistanz zur Altstadt Füssen und hat eine ruhige Lage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und flexibel. Das Zimmer war sauber und zweckmässig. Das variantenreiche Frühstücksbuffet und das Dinner haben wir genossen und ist sehr empfehlenswert. Well the location is amazing!! You can walk anywhere from the hotel which is a bonus but you pay for that bonus too. It is expensive to stay here, the rooms are large and basically bare. Clean and only one pillow per person. To walk to the room took some time due to the largeness of the corridors - sometimes you think you need a map! Beds were ok, not the best not the worse! Buffet breakfast was very good, lots of options and good quality. Probably wouldn’t stay again would look around for a smaller more personable hotel. The underground parking under the hotel has limited, very limited parking in an extremely tight carpark took multiple turns to even get in! Would not recommend that but near the information centre there is a large well lit multi storey parking garage and open 24/7 and wasn’t expensive! The town is beautiful and well worth the visit.

An easy seven-minute walk from the train station is the comfortable and delightful Hotel Sonne Fussen. You will have to cross a two-lane road, but there are crosswalks at either end. There are actually two entrances. If you go to the right-side facing Sonne, there is a convenient door entering the hotel. The other door is on the people street of Reichenstrasse. In between the entrances are several smaller stores. There is a convenient parking garage in the lower floor. There is a room where you do have access to a washing machine and dryer found in the garage area. The reception staff, like the hotel, are friendly and accommodating. Don’t forget to ask for your “Fussen Card” which will give you a free bus ride up to Neuschwanstein and back. The busses are right by the train station. Our room was indeed very clean and pleasant. We had a balcony room facing the mountains. The only downside was the lack of privacy to one side. The balcony is nice though and we did use it The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large enough. We did like the soft-carpet in the room. By the desk was a large picture of the library museum that was once in a Benedictine monastery and later became City Hall. If you have time, visiting that museum is well worth the money and time. Our two days at Sonne’s we elected not to have our room cleaned. A box of towels was kindly left at our front door. Sonne’s was the only hotel to do this in our month long journey through Bavaria. The hotel is decorated with interesting pieces of art. Some of the pieces could be in a movie. Breakfast is a highlight. The staff takes superb effort to make your breakfast most enjoyable. There are all sorts of items to choose from. You will not starve. I did like the sausages and croissants. Most people, if not all, come to Fussen for the castle. We found the village of Fussen to be a delight. Besides the monastery museum, there is Hohes castle close by and a doable walk to Lechfall. An Aldi’s is just down the street. We found walking the people streets brought real character to Fussen. We did enjoy the hotel’s restaurant for one meal. On a side street is a superb Asian restaurant called ‘Thuy Golden Stabchen.” They had the best shrimp. The hotel was lovely. Staff great. Breakfast superb. However…. I was charged when I booked online. On checkout, I was was charged again plus extras. I pointed out that I had already paid for the room and was told that was a pending charge and would be refunded. My irritation at this, is that the hotel should have completed the original transaction that was “pending” and only charge me for what ever extras (dinner, parking etc) on checkout. The result was a refund, 5 days later. This is very frustrating when you are holidaying on a budget and every penny counts. No other hotel I have come across does this. They take a charge in the first instance, then complete that charge and only bill for extras at checkout.
