Fujikawaguchiko|1.26km from Fukurokuju
Firstly, I really liked the location. Kawaguchiko is beautiful and this side of the lake is less built up than the other side (and there is a nice park in front). It's walking distance from the station but about 20 minutes but not recommended with luggage. But not to worry, there is a regular (and cheap) 'loop bus' that departs regularly from the Station and stops right in front of the hotel. Also, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus to the Station from 8am - 10am. The check-in for this hotel is 3pm. Bearing in mind most check-outs in Tokyo are mid-morning, it meant we arrived in Kawaguchiko at midday and had three hours before we could check in to our room. Not very convenient. The hotel do offer a free pick-up from the Station but only after 3pm. Our room was good. It comprised of two single beds and a separate tatami room. We had a great view of Mt Fuji. I'd wake each morning and open the curtains and have a perfect view of if from my bed. If we were on the other side of the building, we'd have had a view of the lake instead. The bathroom was a little basic and the shower took a while to warm up, but aside from that it was an enjoyable room to stay in. The hotel had a free onsen and free robes/slippers for guests to use. I'd never used an onsen before and really enjoyed it - think of a really, hot steamy bath! The hotel also has bike hire available (1500 yen for the day). Visiting Mt Fuji was one of the highlights of my trip. Kawaguchiko was a really good base with plenty to do. I'd highly recommend visiting Chureito Pagoda and cycling around the lake was a really nice way to spend the day. I also thought the staff were extremely friendly.

Came by during the coldest winter in Japan for years and was at first worried about the snow storm as our cars are not fitted with snow tires, so I decided to call up the hotel. On hand to assist is a very nice and kind lady by the name of Zora who tried to go all out to assist and though we asked if we can cancel the stay with no cancellation fees, she mentioned it was tough due to regulations from the booking website. Nevertheless she took efforts to keep me posted of the conditions in Kawaguchiko prior to our arrival and we finally made our trip there. The hotel is clean and new as it opened almost 2.5 years ago hence was dealt with the Covid pandemic and it was not easy for them to survive. The hotel has several Mandarin speaking staff and check in is only after 3 pm hence when we arrived the counter was empty and waited for a while for a Mandarin speaking Japanese to come over to assist, very helpful with suggestions but again they didn’t allow us to amend our stay due to the upcoming snow storm. In the end we decided to forfeit our 2nd night stay due to the fact we do not have snow tire and this is where I felt the hotel can be a bit more flexible by offering a discount. The rooms we were given is huge and spacious , as mentioned by Zora with a good view of Mount Fuji, however the view changes just the next day hence we are lucky to have a wonderful view of Mount Fuji from the room . Overall the stay was very good as staff are very helpful, multi lingual staff with one of the guy from Taiwan being able to speak Mandarin , English , Cantonese , Korean and of course Japanese. Breakfast is simple but very adequate .

The location of this hotel is very good. From Kawaguchiko Station, turn left and walk for about 20 minutes. It is about 15 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko Bridge. In the morning, you can see Fuji and Akafuji, and you will be at the best spot by the bridge. . There are a lot of supermarkets near the hotel. However, the facilities of the hotel are relatively general, the bathroom and toilet are shared, but the price of the hotel is relatively cheap, if you are picky about the facilities, please consider carefully.

The room is large and the bed is a capsule hotel type. It can accommodate up to 10 people. It is suitable for friends traveling together. But it is a bit far from Kawaguchiko Station. There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. It is quite convenient. There is a kitchen for cooking. The scenery is very good under Mount Fuji.

Because there were a few unexpected late arrivals, Fortunately, the owner was very nice and finally gave us a key. Next time I go to Mount Fuji, I will stay. Because the environment inside the house is very clean, Mount Fuji has a beautiful view.

This hotel is a very cost-effective hotel in our 12-day tour in Japan. The price includes breakfast and dinner, which saves the trouble of two meals. The boss is warm and courteous, the boss is the chef, and the menu is different every day. We stayed here for four nights, and opened the window every morning, which was the beautiful Mount Fuji, and in the evening, we watched the mountain view under the sunset. At the end of the trip to Kawaguchiko, the boss also sent us to the station by car for free. The hotel is more than 1 km away from the station. It is a bit difficult to drag the big luggage. Use the navigation to find this hotel. Don't use the walking method. You need to use the driving mode. Otherwise, you can navigate some difficult paths.

It was totally unbelievable that Mount Fuji looked out and the scenery was so beautiful. The hotel will provide a shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station to the hotel. If you want to stay simply for one night without being too expensive, Yijian CP is a good value!
