Best first impression ever! My husband and I celebrated our 31st anniversary and the hotel was absolutely perfect. We parked on Friday and didn't get back in our car until Sunday. The service was exceptional starting with valet to the front desk staff to the folks who drove us around all weekend. We even enjoyed the "trolley on the tracks" to visit West Badin. Even though the rain was relentless on Friday, weather cleared up for us to tour the horse barn and walk around the beautiful grounds. A hidden gem just hours from Cincinnati, and the drive was well worth it!!! Thanks for a great anniversary and the excellent service!!!

Beautiful hotel, rooms were wonderful and entire staff was awesome! Wish they had a variety of coffee instead of just Starbucks. Some of the restaurants and shops need to stay open a little later. ****** was fun too.

Luxury price at a mediocre hotel. Quality and service of the food and staff were under par. It is a historic hotel. It does have nice pools, but don’t expect more than that. It’s very conservative and not a fun buzzing place to go to. The spa staff were nice and congenial at least. Restaurant quality was very poor, considering they are a 4-5 star. Breakfast is not included by the way.

We just came home from the most relaxing, easy and fun trip for our family of five plus our dog. The French Lick and West Baden were gorgeous. There’s a real warmth here, it’s two grand hotels but neither are stuffy or uncomfortable. You feel like you’re staying in luxury! But T-shirts and shorts are perfect here too. Loads of fun activities for the older and younger kids. Lawn games were a hit with my tween crew. We ate ice cream every night while we listened to the Pluto Tappers, the band that takes you back in time on the porch. They were so much fun! We rode every form of transportation-trolley bus, shuttle bus, golf cart, rail trolley, surrey bikes. The free shuttles make getting around a breeze. It’s also the most dog friendly resort we’ve visited. He was greeted by guests and employees anywhere we went. He even made a furry friend of another dog guest. Easy access to get in and out with him from the first floor pet friendly hall. The Fourth of July luau was so great, loads of families enjoying the party but never felt too crowded. Great fireworks. Breakfast buffet spoiled us, we all miss those omelettes and waffles. The dome at West Baden is closed due to the hail damage, but the splendor and beauty of it can still be seen from the edges. It’s just an excuse for us to go back now, so we can stand under it! History tour was terrific and entertaining! Pool was great though they could use another bar and a walk up place for kids to order non alcoholic beverages. We were never bored or overwhelmed! It was perfect. 1875 Steakhouse hit it out of the park our first meal there, so good we went back a second time on our last night. A surprise favorite for us was letting our two oldest kids do clay shooting. Jansen was an awesome host and was very helpful and supportive, teaching them how to safely enjoy and taking his time with all of our questions. Beautiful way to see the woods. All of the staff we encountered, from front desk, to housekeepers, to wait staff were excellent. Thank you!! We are already planning our trip back next year!

You can’t go wrong with staying at this historical resort from the truffles at the signature shop to the 1875 restaurant. The boutique shops for men and women have very nice items and are great for birthdays. For a great place to get a cold beer and food is at the Power House Pub. We have not met a more helpful and welcoming staff. My Wife and I will return for our special occasions

Beautiful hotel, we loved our stay. We went to take the "Chocolate" train. Hotel is wonderful with the beautiful pools, the hobby, the shops. It was nicely decorated for Halloween. Restaurants were excellent.

Loved our stay here. Room was really nice, great location. The power plant had good food and fast service. They were bombarded with people but they handled it well and still did a great job. The pool was heated and was comfortable to swim in (mid-Dec), the hot tub was outside but my family used it and loved it. The Christmas decorations could rival any, anywhere. Lots to look at, comfortable outside, safe-feeling, light show on front of building was attention-getting. Will definitely stay here again.

I love French Lick Springs hotel! It is a fast get a way from St. Louis and the things to do are plentiful along with historic beauty from both the French Lick Springs hotel and the West Baden Hotel! Great food! Make sure to go to the Moo Moo steakhouse across from the French Lick Springs Hotel… it has amazing ambience and Chef Brian is outstanding with his in house made Specials! The only thing I missed this year is the tremendous talents of Sarah Siver’s, who regularly sang at both hotels, but no longer doesn’t! Her voice is angelic and I miss her dearly!! Please bring her back, it is Sarah that always rounded out our experience there!
