The Sinclair, Autograph Collection

Downtown-Sundance Square Fort Worth|0.17km from city center
Wow! As the father of the bride for my first-born daughter & her fiancé we researched long & hard for a hotel that could handle our out of town guests to give them an authentic Texas experience. After evaluating different options we chose the Historic Sinclair Building Fort Worth from Marriott Autograph collection. Sinclair is a renovated office building that Sinclair Oil used to operate from and is just steps away from Sundance Square. Marriott has touches throughout the building that tributes its storied history. Sinclair has combined the authenticity of the past with cutting edge technology. The bathroom mirror had apps inside the mirror for the weather, news, & music etc. The bathroom also had lighting that could change colors and moods. The curtains could be closed with the touch of a button so you can fall in asleep in the absolutely amazingly comfortable bed. While all that was more than wonderful the real magic happened with the service- starting with sales leader Courtney Towson & GM Tammy Vallejo. They invited us to lunch to learn about our event and provided top notch solutions from putting gift bags in guest’s room, private check in line, and a complete staff of can-do attitudes. Courtney even came in on Saturday to check in on us. She opened up roof top bar for bride/groom first looks. After the wedding we came back to a bottle of wine and handwritten note of congratulations from Courtney. Magical day, Magical Property, Magical Location, Magical Service!!!

I booked a room, dinner, valet parking, and a spa treatment as a gift for a friend. She really enjoyed the hotel. She loved her massage at the spa, and she said dinner at Whiskey & Rye was good. I’m glad she enjoyed her stay so I definitely feel like it was worth it, but this is my first time dealing with a luxury hotel and I’m a bit surprised that everything seemed so difficult. For starters, I booked the room online. I called to confirm I’d done so correctly because it was a gift and I didn’t want any problems. Initially, I was told the room needed to be in my name and that my friend could be listed as an extra person in the room. I was told that the manager would email me a credit card authorization form and that I’d need to fill it out and fax it back by a certain date. I never received a form so I called back. I was told that the room needed to be in my friend’s name and that I’d be emailed the authorization and I could email it back when I filled it out. I got an authorization link but it wasn’t a form I was meant to fill out, it was just for prepayment but it was listed for $0. I called back again and asked to talk to a manager just to make sure there wouldn’t be any issues. He set me up with everything and said he’d email the authorization. It never came through so I had to call back. Eventually, I got the proper authorization link and prepaid. My friend had no issues with her stay. One thing I found annoying was that I prepaid for a 50-minute massage at the spa. I also paid for a $50 activity credit for dinner. I noticed I was overcharged and my friend said her card was charged as well despite the manager assuring me they just needed her card on file, that I’d be the only one with charges for the accommodations, taxes, and incidentals. Again, I had to call several times and ended up never being able to speak to who I needed to. I emailed corporate and I got connected to who I needed to, but it’s a process and each email reply takes 24-48 hours. I was told that the massage actually costs $50 more than the credit I’d paid for, which seems misleading. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t attach a monetary value to the spa credit instead of advertising it as a fully paid 50 minute massage. Because of that, the credit I’d purchased to cover dinner was applied to the spa treatment, which meant I’d paid $52 for dinner out of incidentals. It’s not a huge issue, but it just feels misleading. The charge on my friend’s card also fell off and I was told that someone should’ve explained she’d have a hold placed on that card in the event of damages. No one did, and I would’ve paid more toward the room and incidentals initially if I’d known that. I’m really glad my friend enjoyed her stay but I don’t know if I’d feel inclined to book here again in the future. The added packages seem more like a headache than just paying for stuff outright. Overall, I wish things were communicated more clearly because it was a confusing process and not something I re

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fort Worth, TX

September 2022, I checked into the Country Inn and Suites by Radisson in Fort Worth, Texas along with my daughter and 10-year-old granddaughter. On the second night while at the pool there was some activity on the second floor in the window directly above us. A middle aged man approached the window, turned around dropped his shorts and bared himself to us all. The pool is very close to the hotel. My ten-year-old granddaughter saw all of him. ALL of him. To say the least we were all upset. We immediately left the pool, and I went to the front desk to report the incident. Much to my surprise there was not a manager available and would not be available until the next morning. It was not option to even call management, I asked. An employee did have me go outside with him to point out the window. The people in the room heard us at the pool level and quickly closed the drapes. The window was still open. The employees told me the only thing they could do was tell me to call the police. I don’t understand why they could not and would not at the very least inform the people in this room there was a child in the pool. To make things worse that room was on the same hall as ours. Maybe 4 to 6 doors down. The next morning when I went down to speak to the manager, I was informed that there was no manager on the weekends. I was again told my only option was to call the police. When I asked if they could tell me if that room had checked out, they were not allowed to tell me that either. So based on that information we did not use any of the public areas of the hotel the rest of our stay, including the pool or have breakfasts. The hotel no longer felt safe not knowing if we would see this man in the halls, lobby, pool or breakfast areas. On our third and final night of our stay the fire alarms went off in the middle of the evening. When I went down to the front desk to see what was going on, I was informed along with another customer, that an EX-employee set off the fire alarm just to cause trouble. How was an ex-employee able to set off a fire alarm? What else does this ex-employee has access too? What else would he do the cause problems? Between the pervert and disgruntled ex-employee, I did not sleep very well. This location has several major safety concerns. I felt far from safe on so many levels. Not one time was I asked if there was anything I needed. I was told the manager would be informed of my concerns, but I was not asked what my name was or what room I was in. No one really cared. I booked this hotel based on the Raddison name, but we could not get out of this hotel fast enough. So disappointed.

We love this hotel and this was our second stay here. The location is very convenient, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the entire hotel is very modern. We only had two complaints regarding breakfast and the pool. One main reason we selected to stay at this hotel for a second time was because we knew there was an indoor pool for the children to play in. We had six children with us on this trip staying in three separate rooms and we needed a pool for them to swim in during the day while we were waiting to get ready for a wedding that we had in the evening. However, upon arrival we realized the pool was drained and out of operation. This should have been communicated on the website or via email before we ever arrived instead of arriving to complete shock that the pool was closed. Most people choose hotels based on the amenities, and if the pool is not available, this should be communicated before the stay so that people can choose to cancel if they need to and book another hotel with the amenities they need. The breakfast was also disappointing. Instead of a continental breakfast where you can run down and grab a muffin, toast, bagel, cereal, or juice. Just something easy. You had to wait and wait and wait to get either an omelette or a waffle, and those were the only choices. My husband grabbed a banana and was told that he had to pay for that. We didn’t want to have to go downstairs and spend half of our morning waiting for breakfast, we just wanted to run down and grab something quickly on the way out the door, but that was not an option.

First, the good. The staff was great. They did the best they could with what they have to work with. This Springhill could use a refresh. Here was my experience. I checked in and went to my room. The room looked fine, but oddly, the vent fan was on in the bathroom. And I'm glad it was, because that let me know that the light was burnt out in the bathroom. I called down and let them know, and since I hadn't unpacked, we decided it might be quicker and easier to move to a different room. They brought new keys and met me at the new room. In the new room, the TV wouldn't work. No signal. Again, the staff came to trouble shoot and they couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. So it was on the the third room. When they brought my keys for room three, they also brought a few bottles of water and some microwave popcorn. Nice touch. The new room worked fine. Until it was shower time the next morning. When I pulled up the tab to divert the water to the showerhead, it diverted about half the water. So I had water through the showerhead and through the tub spout. And finally, I was happy to have the shampoo, conditioner and shower get dispenser on the wall in the shower. I prefer the dispensers to the little plastic bottles, and the shampoo and conditioner were good quality products. But when I pressed the pump for the shower gel? It was empty... :-( All in all, great people working at a property that apparently needs some attention.

Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Worth Downtown South

On March 27 2021 i and girlfriend and 14 year old daughter went to a family gathering from Tyler tx. When booking the room I was told the rooms rate was 130.00 after tax. This rate is more than what I give for holiday day in express. At the time rooms was limited and so price wasn’t my issue till I was informed that they Price gouged me and in the times we are in. I personally asked the gentleman that did the reservations if this was a nice motel that I had equipment in the back of my truck and I didn’t want to stay at a crack den. His words were this place is new it’s very nice and you can park In front your room. I went against my judgement and got the room for the fact that Wyndham was the name that Represented the super eight. Upon arrival there are many diffrent people walking around back and fourth looking at us like we were crazy the man that booked us didn’t speak English and the window busted out the room next to ours. We grinded our teeth and said we are tired and need some rest so we can handle it biggest mistake ever. At around 11:00 the music in other rooms got loud woman screaming as if the were being killed which has emotionally scared my daughter. Not to mention at 12:30 I felt lead to check on my truck upon doing so there were several guys surrounding my truck and one said that’s a very nice truck I said thanks and set and smoked a cigg. After 2 min they all left seeing I wasn’t leaving. Needless to say I slept in my truck making sure it wasn’t Vandalize vandalize through out the night I seen those same men walk past my truck and look to see if I was there. Worst experience ever truly deserves a refund of payment.

This is a remodeled Raddison, so of course its a nice hotel. Unfortunately, the brought in a management company to save money, and boy does it show. After arriving and being verbally berated by a sexist GM, who made me cry in the front lobby- in front of all his employees- and told me that's a ”Me problem, not a WE problem”/ I should get my emotions under control. After this, he had his staff stalk me around to sign a new contract under duress. The rest of our stay, we got to see him run and hide from us when we walked by, stand up on the big staircase and glare at us and watch us. I paid a LOT of money to be at that hotel, and I felt like I was begging them to take my business. I called the managment company, and they didnt seem to want to deal with me at all about this. Braydon Skelton is one of the worst people I have ever met in my life. After a stressful check in, we experienced some of the worst food we ever have had at a hotel (except the sandwiches, those were amazing). Only one waitress for breakfast in the morning, no free coffee either. When we had a dinner of sweet potatoes with capers (so gross), I spit out the first bite i took. After I thought this was the worst dinner i ever had, a nice big big cockroach crawled onto our dinner table to help us eat. Immediately we left that room and ordered a pizza from down the street. Overall, I felt fearful, scared, unappreciated and abused at this hotel. I called the management company and never heard back from them. The GM Braden made a half hearted attempt to reach out to me but never got a hold of me. Honestly, I was scared and fearful to even answer the phone. It sucks, because we have been repeat customers of this hotel before they changed management in December. I would recommend this hotel for people only passing through, but not for events. and If you care about people and how other people treat customers or humans.. I would NOT recommend this hotel. For the record, I have been waiting for a couple weeks to write this to see if someone from management company would reach out to me about my terrible experience, and they did not.

This hotel was exceptionally clean, as I’m sure most of it has to do with the fact that it relatively brand new. And the staff was cleaning continuously. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable! The bed and the pillows were the most comfy I’ve ever slept in and the room gets super dark when you pull the shades, even in the middle of the day. Our room had just a shower, it would’ve been nice to have a shower tub combo, but all in all I will give this room and hotel five stars! The location is ideal for shopping and restaurants close by. And also, it’s on the outskirts of Ft. Worth, so traffic isn’t too terrible getting around. Breakfast was good and had a decent selection, waffles, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, muffins, juice, and coffee. Negative: Pool was freezing! I thought for an indoor pool it would be heated…

My family and I recently stayed at this property, and I accidentally left my lap top under the pillow of the bed. Once, I realized it was missing the next day, I located it on Find My, which pinged the property’s address. Of course, I’m relieved to know that is where it is, believing that is has been recovered and documented in lost items, so I call the hotel, speak with the front Desk Assistant, who takes 1 min. to contact the Housekeeping Supervisor, returns to state no one has seen it. I was completely devastated, as I could clearly see the location pinging at the hotel, which I stated. The Desk Associate was completely dismissive and unconcerned. After contacting Sales, Corporate office, and Customer Support, which all Reps. were completely perplexed and disappointed by the response given by the Front Desk Associate, as well. I contacted the hotel again at Corporate’s request, to obtain Property Manager’s contact information. The same Desk Assistant answered, unapthetically, provided the GM’s name and email address. I emailed the GM, who basically gave a swift similar response, and stated there was nothing more they could do, and to file a police report. I emailed her a screenshot of the find my location indicator. No response. I thought at the least, they would say we will do our best to investigate this matter as you have provided proof confirming your laptop is still here on our property, but no, nothing of the sort!!! I have left Airpods at Disney World and shoes at a Hilton property, both items were located and returned to me. I only provided a description of the items and last location seen. The AirPods weren’t even in my list of devices to locate. However, I’ve filed a police report and I’m hoping the Property owner will contact soon; demonstrating a true concern and willingness to complete a full investigation. I wrote this, because patrons/ visitors/ guests have the right and should know if a hotel property’s staff is going to act with integrity and honesty if a personal item has been left behind, and this one DOES NOT!!!!
