The ARC Hotel

Lobby was nice. First room wasn't vacuumed, so they gave us another. No available luggage carts. It was late, 11:30. They gave us late checkout for the next day. Sheets and towels were clean. Sink and toilet clean. Bed was pretty comfortable. Nice pillows. Didn't see any bugs. Walls dirty. Chairs stained. Ceiling water stained. All dusty. We rinsed the air filters from the heater in the tub. Tub drained very slowly. Furniture was all banged up and wobbly. Had to be careful not to knock over the microwave cabinet. Next morning, breakfast was pretty good, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, the usual bagels muffins and cereal and yogurt. It was well stocked and the attendant was efficient and friendly. Didn't use the pool. Hot tub was empty/broken. Back in room, shower valve was broken wouldn't direct water into the shower. But the tub didn't drain anyway. We washed in the sink. Our "late checkout" key card quit working at 10am (should have worked until noon), and housekeeping tried to come in by 10:30ish.

The hotel was very clean. My room was what I expected. I slept great and woke rested. My coffee machine did not work. I was up at 5:30am so breakfast was not ready. Not happy that they didn’t have 1/2 and 1/2 for my coffee. Those were small things and I did not reflect that in my star rating.

Hot tub broke during entire stay. Pool was heated for first day only - rest of stay pool was cold. Breakfast first day was great. Second day came to breakfast at 8:20 breakfast was supposed to be until 9:00 absolutely no food available and none was refilled only was able to get a bowl of cereal and a piece of toast - they were even out of coffee. Start of stay was great and went downhill from there.

We needed a last minute hotel in Fort Smith to rest along the way to our destination. We were very pleased with The ARC! It was a great value for a nice, clean, updated hotel. The front desk associates were very kind and helpful with check-in and out. The room was spacious and clean.

Check-in was fast & friendly. All the staff are friendly. Housekeeping does not make much noise at all. In room fridges are HUGE which helps. Breakfast is WONDERFUL and eggs are REAL not powdered! A little outdated BUT CLEAN which is the most important to me. Indoor pool, wow. I WILL be staying here again in the next few months!

We really enjoyed our stay. The area was clean and safe. Kids enjoyed the pool. And the breakfast was top notch! Staff were all super friendly and helpful.

breakfast bar not available on thanksgiving. hostess very rude and abrupt. no decaf coffee available handicapped shower did not have handheld. device.

The pros: price, indoor pool (although hot tub was out of order), decent free breakfast, staff were really friendly and helpful, safe location, and great water pressure in the shower. The cons: the building/rooms are in need of repair, mold on the ceiling in our bathroom, wallpaper tacked up with push pins in main areas, our room had a funky odor that set off my husbands allergies, the carpet used as baseboards was falling off the wall in the room.

Picked for hot tub and pool. Heater not working for either one. Desk said they couldnt find someone to fix them. A previous review had same issues and I figured it would be fixed . No. Carpets stained, had to get towels from desk for second night.. More maintenance needed. Fridge rocking badly! Truck had not come so no meat on breakfast buffet.
