Lakeside Review In some ways this is a still a great park. And If you are a family with young kids daytime is fun; the pool and lake offer plenty of opportunity for fun. But trying to get them to sleep at night with ‘off the leash’ groups of kids and young adults roaming and raging loudly while their parents get ‘lubricated’ means your little kids will struggle to get sleep they need. We then became more and more sleep deprived as the 10 pm curfew was unenforced by management during our stay. Then it has to be said that sadly, over a number of years the lack of maintenance and care are showing. For a while COVID was the excuse for everything and that is partly understandable. Now we are past that, the new ownership appear to be intent on replacing the often waterlogged caravan and camping sites with cabins. That’s ok and it’s their right. But at the same time the other side of the business - the caravan and camping facilities of toilets, showers and kitchen —are gradually becoming more and more run down, showing clear lack of attention to cleaning and poor general and necessary maintenance. So sad.
