Lake Forbes Motel

The manager very friendly and helpful give me lot of advice including food and coffee shop. Close to Lake Forbes very enjoyed sunset.

Lake Forbes Motel serves a purpose. Stop and go... the property is old and does need maintenance, but it's fine for an overnight stay. It's been 3 years since we last stayed here and it's definitely worse for wear!

Sorry, I give it to you 1 but its actually -0. Awful experience and bonus of this tory is they stole my perfume. I arrived on Monday at 3 pm. From 8 am until 5 pm next day I was at work and they clean my room (I don't know what for because i was in the room for less than a day). When I found someone stole the perfume owner said just check your bags its maybe there. After that situation they stop cleaning my room for another 3 days. They don't have gel shower in the rooms only hair condition, no blanket, flat, thing pillows, noisy, messy, super old. Highly, super highly I'm NOT RECOMMED YOU this place. I'm ok with old style or no gel shower or pillows but when people steal something its huge concern for me. Very sad.

We stayed in Room 8, nice and bright. Also enjoyed a dip in the pool. Noise from the Newell was blunted by closing the bathroom door. A nice park & lake across the road.

My room no was 20 at the end corner/ 1. No staff in reception to check in, u need to figure out how to call staff while u already in reception. 2. They have free wifi, only to show. Never works. I need to upload data from field and need to have stable connection for Remote Desktop connection, really regret booking this hotel. I explained my problem to reception guy but no solution and no apology. 3. Everything can be heard what’s going on next room and room upstairs. 4. Very big noises of vehicles, u can’t sleep well if u r not drunk. 5. Not enough onsite parking. 6. Room musty smell. 6. Leaking taps. Many more you will find

Rating was very misleading. I don’t know how people rated it 10/10 unless they were false ratings. Very basic motel. More like a backpackers.

The room was clean, and beds firm. If you are just looking for place to sleep this is it. Comfort on a budget. The TV just displayed the local channels. The AC was not Reverse Cycle. But across the road was a park for the kids to play in. It was just a hop across the river to get into the town centre. There is a small pool on the grounds. But I slept very well. Refreshed and ready for a long day on a motorcycle.

Air conditioner would not heat, ambient temperature outside that evening was 4 deg. Complained in the morning and requested refund - not given. Wouldnt put my cat in this place.

The room had a bad smell and the taps in the shower and sink ran all night. Also the people upstairs were very loud. Good location but not great to stay.
