Sahara Hotel Eilat

the hotel is totally overdone, re-modeled. it used to be Pier hotel. rooms brand new and big. great huge size bed huge tv small shower but enough. they don't have a coffee kettle in the room, but rather in the front desk they have a good coffee machine with tea and cold water. fine for one night, since i went to eilat for business. near a shopping area and some restaruants around. low prices and clean. that's all you need

My wife and I decided on a short visit of Eilat for some Saturday morning scuba diving. We arrived on Friday around 19:00 and had no hotel reservations. One of the places we found on “an apartments for rent” application was this Sahara hotel. Spent the night there and loved it. Clean, comfortable, great air conditioning, good clean shower and great quality soap and towels. For this price - it’s a bargain.

We stayed here for one night prior to our trip into Jordan. We didn’t need a pool which is really the only thing missing in this clean, modern, well kept hotel. They don’t serve breakfast but they have a deal with a restaurant round the corner where you can get an Israeli breakfast for an additional 50 shekel

It was a very average hotel: Service was okay, though he forgot to give us information like wifi password, code to enter the room etc. It was good for the price.

At check in, the front desk staff reminded us twice that it was a non smoking facility. When I informed her that none of us smoked she decided to lecture us a 3rd time, informing us that the property was only 3.5 months old and that they did not want any smoking in the rooms to keep it in top shape and clean. To my surprise, the room had coffee stains in the floor, TV did not work, there was no phone in the room, and the bathroom was a disaster. A coffin would have more room than the shower and there was black mold growing up to 3 inches off the floor in one of the corners of the shower. There was also a dozen drill holes in the bathroom wall tiles, some had smears of caulking in them, others were open holes. There was no grout where the floor times meet the wall tiles under the sink. This property is scamming when they say they are a 4 star hotel. If every problem mentioned above was fixed it would still be a 2 star motel.

Good central hotel. Modern and clean.

We came as family for the weekend and since we are 6 we were offered to take the big room. When we arrived we fount it was a big room but in the basement. Most of the furniture is broken or very old, the sofa was covered with runners that covered the torn fabric under. The ventilation emergency tubes were basically closed but the one it the kitchen ant the one in the bathroom were wide open and it made the muskito's life easier. The beds aren't so comfortable. the better thing is that you have cable T.V. in every room, always hot water, the stuff was friendly, no problems to find parking. So, it total, I think it was overpriced for this time of the year.
