Han Tang · Grand Hotel

Shazhou Market Dunhuang|0.14km from Dunhuang Night Market
The sound insulation of the room is poor, and the attitude of the front desk is not good (not recommended for people who are sensitive to noise) Due to work reasons, I have lived in the Han and Tang Dynasties for more than a month, at least seven or eight times. The previous experience was relatively good, and I also recommended it to friends. Last time, it was noisy because the residents around the room may know each other. Until now It was eleven o'clock and I was still playing cards. I am sensitive to noise, so I proposed to change the room. The lady at the front desk was also very gentle and sent me a room card. As a result, when I checked in yesterday, I found that I was transferred to a room close to the street. The location of Hantang is relatively bustling and lively, the noise is loud, and the sound insulation of the room is also poor. I wanted to go to bed earlier because I was not feeling well. I thought it would be earlier. It wouldn't be too much trouble, so I called the front desk and wanted to change to a room not facing the street. As a result, the front desk this time had a bad attitude and was very impatient. When I heard that I wanted to change the room, it meant that it was because you changed the room last time. This time our boss will I said that I will get you a place on the fifth floor where no one is around, and there is nothing you can do about things outside the window, just wait until night. At my strong request, I called the boss to change to a room not facing the street. I was very impatient when I went down to get the room card. I sat there without saying a word and without looking up. The experience of staying this time was very unpleasant. Well, I won't come again in the future.

Little Camel Desert Camping

Shazhou Market Dunhuang|0.24km from Dunhuang Night Market
358 booked for the two. We boarded the car at Dunhuang Night Market and arrived at the camping base. The base facilities are fairly complete, with restrooms and a place to put luggage. After arriving, there are desert motorcycles, sand boarding, hot pot, performances, bonfires, starry sky, and sunrise projects. There is an additional rent for sandboarding shoe covers, and an additional fee to go to the desert to see the stars. During the hot pot dinner, the emcee started all kinds of programs. The thick rural soil was very windy and the horns were very loud. For people like me who just want to eat quietly, the performance of the show is basically embarrassing and torture. However, the whole staff is really hard. The whole team includes food, driver, and host in all aspects. The cost feels quite high. But I think the basic hygiene and comfort are still not done well. The tent is the cheapest and simplest kind. The sleeping bag should never be washed or even opened when it is aired. It’s not too cold to sleep at night, but the roar of desert motorcycles will continue until two or three o'clock, and will not stop until all those who watch the starry sky come back. We didn't go to see the stars in the depths of the desert with the driver. We got up at two or three in the morning and looked around the camp for a while. The effect was okay, but it was definitely not as good as taking a car to go to the deep desert with less light. In general, this camp is suitable for young people in their 20s who like to be lively and exciting. It is not recommended for families who like to be quiet and with children. It is too noisy and the key sanitary conditions are really average.

I went with friends. The trip was two days. Camping was arranged on the first night. When I was booking, I was worried that there would be no charging place and contacted the boss in advance. After asking, I found that not only camping, but also cross-country motorcycles and sandboarding. , Performances, bonfire party and dinner. Originally thought that we would have a place to stay at night, the boss told us that after we got off the car, we could go to the youth hostel in the city to take a rest and wash, and we could go there to rest after camping. He also helped us book the tickets for the performance of ”See Dunhuang” ( At the beginning, I didn’t know that there was a stage show. Our tickets were B tickets. In fact, we couldn’t see a lot of content. The boss recommended this show to us. The scene was really shocking! Recommended!). We arrived in Dunhuang at around 5 in the morning and went straight to the youth hostel in the city. The boss was very enthusiastic. After we simply washed and stored things, we started to travel. Later, we settled in the hostel before, after camping, and when we were preparing to return. The boss also provided us with rooms before and after camping. The location of the hostel is also very good. There is a supermarket just outside the alley. It is very convenient from the hostel to Dunhuang Museum and Shazhou Night Market. We did not take the car provided by the uniform. We went to the night market to have dinner and went to the camp by ourselves. To be honest, it still feels a bit dangerous to take a desert motorcycle, but the scenery on the sandy mountain is good. It feels a little bit noisy, but it seems that everyone is having fun (this may depend on yourself). After the bonfire party, we took the tent and set up the tent. We booked a four-person tent, but there was a slight problem with the tent zipper. The staff at the camp were also very good. We replaced us with two double ones, but there was still a zipper. It's not very easy to use, because it's too late and I didn't change it again. It is recommended that you check the tent when you take it, and the staff will help replace it. After watching the sunrise in the morning, there is a special car to take everyone back to the city, or you can go directly to Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring, which is very convenient. Overall, I'm very satisfied~

Shacheng Station

Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring Dunhuang|1.1km from Crescent Spring
It was unexpectedly good. Before I went, the boss answered a lot of my questions on the Internet. It feels very reliable. They also took the initiative to ask me what time I would arrive, so someone was in the inn. The room was cleaned very clean, the towels were also very clean, and a plate of incense and tea were also given. The room is very comfortable, there is also a kettle, a hair dryer, and laundry upstairs, so I have a comfortable rest. There is also a place to park. The location here is only three minutes away from Mingsha Mountain Scenic Spot Youku. Because the scenic spot can be entered multiple times, it is convenient to live here to take pictures and watch the sunrise and sunset. There is also a cute little white rabbit that often haunts this inn, which is very pleasantly surprised. When I went out, I saw a camel team at work. If the accommodation is cost-effective, clean and sanitary, and good communication, the station deserves five-star praise. Then you should add five stars to the boss, and the boss is working hard. Chatting with the beautiful boss, it turns out that she was originally a tourist, but later quit her job to open an inn in Dunhuang. It is one of the oldest inn in this area, because the reputation has been very good and it has been opened until now. The general innkeeper's warm reception is surprising. This beautiful boss is simply a ”care” type. He asked me how to arrange the itinerary, gave a lot of suggestions, helped avoid stepping on the pit, and also introduced the reliable local travel resources. Living in this place is one of my wisest decisions when I come to Dunhuang, because I like quietness and don't want to live in the city. It’s so beautiful to see the sunset here. The picture shows the sunset when I walked for three minutes to Mingsha Mountain. As shown I was pleasantly surprised to walk to Leiyin Temple, a very magnificent temple. Kumarajiva and Master Xuanzang both gave lectures here, and in history, there was Leiyin Temple first and Mogao Grottoes later.

Living here is very convenient to go anywhere, 10 kilometers to Mogao Grottoes, 5 kilometers to Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring, and 800 meters walk to Shazhou Night Market. A family of three, if the budget is enough, can book a suite on the 5th floor. The room has reasonable functional divisions, including a living room, bedroom, cloakroom, bathroom, toilet, washbasin, and bedroom (the photo was taken casually). The family room on the third floor is also good. Special thanks to hotel manager Li for his warm and thoughtful service, which enabled us to have a good accommodation experience during our trip. He also gave five-star praise to both people and the hotel.

From Xinjiang, go to Qinghai, pass through Hami, and pass through Dunhuang. I have stayed in Dunhuang for two days since I visited Xinjiang in June, and this time I was just passing through. But the hotel is very comfortable and clean, better than some five-star hotels. There is no dust in the cracks of the windows, which is rare. The landlady told the truth. The hotel has very high hygiene requirements. The hot pot restaurant next to it is also good.

The most worthwhile place to visit in Dunhuang is desert camping 🏕️ A ticket can play, eat and drink, and also includes accommodation. The ATV off-road motorcycle experience is super exciting, commonly known as the roller coaster in the desert, and there are unlimited sandboarding, as long as you have enough physical strength to take a rest and wait for the sunset, I have to say that it is really a good movie, just take a picture It's blockbuster. After going down the mountain, I ate hot pot with friends from all over the world, drank beer, watched cultural programs (Dunhuang Flying Dance, game interaction), and when we were full, we took us to a bonfire party. A group of people held hands and had fun around the bonfire followed by Bunyedi in the desert, hahahaha, I have to use a Dunhuang dialect to describe it, the tip of the stick

Facilities: Newer, but average quality Hygiene: The room hygiene is normal, but the laundry room is really dirty. One washing machine is full of washing powder. It is obvious that no one is doing hygiene. Environment: The surrounding area is quite convenient Service: Average, but not bad This hotel should be a new one. There was a group checking in when we checked in that day. There is a large parking lot outside the hotel. The parking is basically enough, but there is only an open-air parking lot and no underground parking lot. The hotel's equipment looks quite new, but the design and quality are average. The laundry room is on the seventh floor. There seems to be some problems with the decoration of the entire floor. The glue in the gym smells all over the floor. It is basically closed on the seventh floor. The light, the laundry room is hidden in a corner, and there are two washing machines. It is probably that no one has ever cleaned them. As a result, when I was doing the laundry, I was very confused because I felt very worried about whether they were very clean. One of the washing machines was filled with laundry. Fan, I don’t know which tenant is like this and doesn’t clean the hotel. Then there is no one in the hotel to clean the hotel. There are no disposable bags in the laundry room for guests to put clothes in. It is very inconvenient. There are not many varieties of breakfast in the hotel. It is very simple and seems to cost ¥10.

I am looking forward to the first camping experience. When I arrived at the camp, I couldn't wait to hug the desert. When I came back, I brought five colored sand. If the beach motorcycle can carry the small heart, it is recommended to play more times. Sandboarding requires physical strength. Dinner hot pot is a table for 8 people, the dishes are self-help dishes that you like, the dishes are disposable, and the hygiene is relatively clean. There are many kinds of entertainment, and everyone has fun together. Watching the stars and listening to the whispers of insects and birds, it’s not bad.
