The hotel although it is a bit old, the rooms and every space are nice and cozy. Everything is super clean and tidy. The staff is very helpful and always in a good mood. Although we had a few issues one of the nights with dinner, they went above and beyond to make it right and solved the issue. We will definitely come back and recommend it as well. It was Christmas season so they had a bunch of fun activities planned, now I want to visit them for summer to enjoy the rest of what this place offers. My wife had a RMT massage appointment and she loved it!

Restaurant area was quite cool as heaters did not seem to be working. Breakfast options weekdays are not great and are individually quite expensive. Overall staff were very friendly.

Interesting hotel set in large grounds. nice views of the bay. nice walk in the grounds. Pool during season very cool. quite impressive main building. Food was fairly priced and quality was very good. Would stay again. The twin room was very small though.

Place was outwardly beautiful. However room was tiny and carpet was a mess of stains. I would not stay in a standard room again .

Digby Pines is beautiful, vintage resort, grandly designed inside and out, on a hill overlooking the Annapolis Basin. They have an amazing outdoor heated pool, which we enjoyed even on a crisp fall day. The pool is 72 ft. long. Quite unique and very enjoyable. The expansive grounds are landscaped in a traditional green lawn and with steps leading down to the spa and pool. the main hotel is beautiful. We love this property and enjoyed our stay here very much. There were only a couple of cautionary notes; the rooms are badly in need of renovation. Our bathroom was very dated. The carpet in the room is wrinkled and stained. However, there are heat pumps in the rooms now that seem very efficient and quiet. the bed and linens were very comfortable. The hallways are bright and cheery and not at all gloomy for such an old hotel. I believe the new owners are gradually making updates and changes and I hope they will be vigilant about repairs to the stucco outside. Our only real disappointment was our meal in the dining room. The quality of the meal was not up to last year's excellent plates. We ordered the Digby scallops and could not believe that they came in a tiny bit of sauce with the smallest portion of potato and carrot that I've ever seen. I can no longer recommend Churchill's as a premier dining experience. it was mediocre, at best. However, there are plenty of places to enjoy the local scallops in the town of Digby, that are a better bargain

Grand old hotel. Room and bathroom were small Gorgeous view of pool, spa, basin but only if you stood in front of the one window. Window opened for a nice breeze but had to use the garbage can to prop it open. Dismayed that I could not have a mini fridge, would have paid extra to keep my drinks, cheese, water etc cool. Apparently the electrical system won’t accommodate a fridge. Plumbing in BR spotty. Toilet ran at times. Taps antiquated and difficult to control temp. Only ate breakfasts X 2. Had the exact same meal both mornings. Bill was $32 first day and $24 second day. Their coffee is so weak I honestly couldn’t tell if I was drinking coffee or tea. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable, the grounds and public areas impressive and the staff were very pleasant. Special shout out to Jake who humped my luggage up and down multiple steps while appearing to enjoy every minute! He is quite an ambassador and I hope management agrees. All in all, I would go back as it’s a beautiful spot with great views and 4 minutes from the ferry terminal. Some updating of the rooms would take it up a notch. Caution to mobility impaired guests. There are all sorts of stairs. Quite a climb just to get into the resort to check in. I was on the third floor but had two more small flights of stairs to carry my bags down to get to my room. The staff will happily assist you with your luggage but if mobility is an issue, this might not be the place for you.

The hotel itself was super! Our room had issues with the toilet being used and left dirty. We were more bed but to a smaller room. Had a King bed with sofa and got moved to just a King. No compensation. I am sure the resort was not full so we expressed our disappointment but no resolution The outdoor facilities were a mess. The hurricane had just rolled through but the state of the outdoors was not a hurricane issue. The tennis courts, for instance, were locked with ****s growing higher than the nets. Many of the outdoor trails were very over run. The wet spots were due to the hurricane, and we expected that, but looked like no maintenance had been done all season. We were visitors to Nova Scotia and the resort was recommended by a local. When they came to visit us, they were shocked to see the condition Wish we could have seen it in its prime. BUT the staff were friendly and the food was excellent.

We checked in and I asked for a view which the attendant proceeded to move us to a room next to the elevator. This was a problem as it was very noisy - sounded like thunder every time it was in operation. The next morning we spoke to Lisa at the front desk and she said we were already in an ocean view room so she did nothing t understand why we were moved. Lisa fixed everything for us, including an early check out due to the impending hurricane. I would have Lisa work on my staff any time as she is all about customer service with a smile. The restaurant was ok but not what I remember from 2004. It could be a lot better
