With the current travel restrictions we were nervous we’d not be allowed into the province and the hotel staff were helpful getting us the information we needed to enter the county and final arrive at their hotel. We felt taken care of and they arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport. They greeted us with smiles, the housekeeper left fruits and a nice hand written note, and the front desk did their best to make our stay a comfortable one. We were traveling with our toddler and the food options were delicious and affordable. We want to say thank you to Chen Kai for going out of his way to make us feel special and welcomed. He speaks English and made many great suggestions regarding travel, activities, and calling the hospitals to see where we could get our nucleic test. The space is surrounded my mountains and it’s green everywhere you look. You can take a boat ride along the river located just in front of the property. Currently there is construction on one side, they are expanding the facilities. The whole space is nice as worth a visit. We didn’t give a 5 for amenities because we felt it could have catered more to families.

This is a resort hotel with a very comfortable living environment, worthy of the name Secret Land. The hotel management is in an orderly manner. We call in advance to understand the guests' preferences. When checking in, the front desk has basically mastered the guests' main information. The guest rooms along the river are designed to have one room and one view, each with its own characteristics. The guest rooms are spacious and have a good living experience. Especially sitting on the big balcony, drinking water, listening to music, and becoming one with the mountains and rivers... The dining options are strong, with good Chinese, Western and local specialties. The breakfast is reasonably arranged, accompanied by the natural beauty outside the window and delicious food. The hotel staff took the initiative to help carry luggage and were always on call. Objectively speaking, two days of stay is a perfect travel experience.

This hotel was amazing! Every aspect was built with comfort, beauty and relaxation in mind. The setting of the hotel is in the perfect spot right on the river and surrounded by towering mountains.They should add ”resort” to the name. The room was plush and spacious with a great view of both river and mountains. The infinity pool is amazing and built for relaxation. It has comfortable cabana style lounge chairs literally in the pool. The staff is very attentive and met every need. They also provide shuttle service to the river rafting starting point and provide bicycles for riding around the countryside. (The hotel is also the end point of the river rafting trip.) The only downside is that the hotel is difficult to get to. Apparently there are plans to make this town into a tourist destination. Most of the major roads were torn up and the facades of most buildings are under construction. Even with that, being at the resort makes all that irrelevant. If you need a place to wash all your stress away, this is the perfect place. If I had one recommendation, it would be to think about foreign guests in terms of adult beverages. There is a beautiful bar right next to the pool... but one doesn't want tea while at the pool. Everything else about this hotel is perfect.

The hotel is very nice and cosy. The staff mostly is awesome and very friendly. Excellent food at the restaurant and every evening there was a small special thing (bread, soup, etc…). Every evening there was an outdoor fire and cooking in a wood fired oven. The owner is very friendly and ready to help. Food and breakfast are excellent. No western food. For breakfast , there is good coffee available. It is possible to get bread and fried eggs on demand if you don’t like Chinese breakfast. Surroundings are great. You can borrow bikes from the hotel to go around through the rice fields and the mountains. Great place to use a drone if you have one. It was too cold for us but there is a swimming pool on the rooftop with an outstanding view. We visited the Detian water falls and the Gulongshan canyon. To sum up, great place for a family trip or for couples

Amazing hotel! It really is more like a resort with a lot of things to discover. Unfortunately, probably due to the current pandemic situation, not everything has been in operation. You got a little nice bar for the occasional long-nighter 😅 there and a restaurant with a huge menu of different meals. The restaurant service has been unbelievable quick to serve the fresh cooked dishes. The hotel itself has been quite clean and the service staff always been helpful. Do not expect anyone speaking English thou. The whole surrounding is taken care of with visible passion and still you feel like in the middle of the jungle. If you got some time to spare, walk around the little village outside the hotel and try to find the small beautiful almost historic part of it, still being actively lived in by the locals. Just please always be respectful and cautious not to disturb them in any way. FYI: if you arrive there by bus from from Nanning (南宁) to DaXin (大新) (the ride itself is absolutely worth it), there are local drivers Infront of the bus station who know how to get to the hotel. Just make sure not to pay more then 250 RMB. Also make sure all your health codes, passports, visas, etc are all in order and quickly handy. After all it is a border region and the are a lot of checkpoints to pass through. That's no time to mess up anything.

We stayed in the panoramic room of the inn, with large floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, and the invincible Mingxuan pastoral scenery outside the window. Every mountain peak, every small bridge, and every rice field are clearly visible. The pictures in front of you are a natural scene of the original ecology, which makes people forget the passage of time, intoxicated, and enjoy the hidden secret under this mountain and water. Xiuyan Inn is a good value for money in the local area. The boss is warm and thoughtful. Dinner is eaten at the homestay. Can’t fault the hotel for service and cleanliness. The rooms are basic yet with a great level of comfort. Beds are comfortable and you have everything you need. The ladies at the front desk are really sweet and ready to help. You need a translating app or they can call someone who speaks English to communicate with you. As a foreigner being here at Chinese New Year it was hard being in town. The fireworks were loud and there was some street noise but we understood this is normal for the time of year. It would be great if the hotel utilised some of the outside spaces to make them a nice place to hang out. Some things to know: transport is expensive to get to the hotel unless you do busses and trains. However this is not straightforward and may not fit in with your timeline. Transport to some features is also pricey- about 400 per car Chinese new year prices (it’s not that they overcharge it’s just that things are far and there may not be another option for transport). We were a large group and needed 2 cars. If you get off the main road and into the scenic paths it is beautiful with cycle routes. There is a sweet bamboo river cruise you can do in and around town: Food is traditional Chinese everywhere you go but we have been here long enough to navigate that. Definitely go river rafting and cave exploring at Gulong waterfall/ cave. Tongling waterfall and scenic area is close there as well but we didn’t go. It is 80km away and a car will cost you but it is worth it. We also went to Detian waterfall which is nice but busy at Chinese new year. There was a a cool human conveyor belt up a section and a slide down which is fun. For this trip there is a bus leaving from the Mingshi scenic area bus terminal. Tickets are 20 per person. People here are generally sweet and the area is beautiful but it is rural China and you need the right attitude to approach this. It will be a rewarding experience if you have that.

To be honest, the scenery is really beautiful, nothing to complain about. However, the most expensive panoramic room has very little space and is generally hygienic. I found the little bugs in the picture coming in and out twice in the bathroom, which was really scary. The bathroom is very narrow and there is not even a platform to put the cosmetic bag, which is very inconvenient. The mattress is too hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. Breakfast is also very simple: steamed buns, white porridge, rice dumplings and pickled vegetables. The good thing is the scenery, and the disposable toilet seat in the bathroom is not bad. Although it is summer vacation, for a weekday stay, the price of more than 400 per night is still too expensive. Compared with the Saturday and Sunday in August last year, we went rafting in Qingyuan, Guangdong and stayed at the Qingyuan Sheraton Hotel for more than 500 a night. The hotel buffet and breakfast included were much richer. The facilities and environment of international five-star hotels were about the same price. , and a large swimming pool. It is also a hotel in a popular tourist city, but in comparison, the price/performance ratio here in Chongzuo is much lower.

The hotel itself is fine for a short stay. The location is excellent for the entry to the waterfall park, BUT you need to travel approx 20km back along S325 (X538/Yanbian Highway toward Nanong/Fujiao on Google Maps)to obtain entry tickets. Our rooms were clean, the beds (Chinese) firm and, lo and behold, the plumbing accurate..ie the cold and hot signs on the mixer taps were correct. I have marked down the services simply because there were few to be had and our rooms were not serviced after our first night. When my daughter queried this with the front desk the reply was that we did not request the service. Similarly facilities are marked down because they consisted solely of a bedroom, albeit very roomy BUT highly expensive for a hotel with so little to offer. There were no food services, neither breakfast nor dinner, availble for our visit, and none within walking distance - unless you fancy walking a county lane in the dark. The hotel suggested a small village approx 3kms along route S325. However parking here was 20RMB no matter your length of stay. This village is also the entry point to the waterfall park where you should be able to buy tickets - but the machines would not work for our Chinese citizen and would not accept foriegner details. We eventually drove approx 8km back past the hotel to the next village along S325 (X538/Yanbian Highway toward Nanong/Fujiao on Google Maps) that had open restaurants - sorry name of village not available but the food was excellent..local river fish. Apologies but I actually forgot to photograph the locale and rooms etc. Frankly I cannot recommend this hotel unless they develop their services to provide adequate restaurant facilities.

很nice的老闆，很棒的入住體驗。因為一些原因登記入住的時間已經凌晨，老闆怕晚上我們找不到地方，特地叮囑他在路口迎接，太感動了（因為到的太晚餓的不行，老闆知道之後特地煮了一大鍋麪條還有荷包蛋）人性的善和淳樸温暖了我們一整個的崇左之行。房間很寬敞、落地的大玻璃窗，很愜意，白天能看到對面的遠近不同的山，和層層疊疊的耕田，彷彿徜徉在水墨畫之中第二天早晨還幫我們買了當地特色早餐，相當好吃。離德天特別近，很方便喲。

We had a great stay and were received exceptionally by the ladies at reception. A very stylish and comfortable place sat amongst breathtaking low-lying rice paddies. We were upgraded which was a lovely touch. The ladies also helped us arrange private taxis, covid tests and even lent us two small ebikes free of charge. Highly recommended!

This hotel was amazing! Every aspect was built with comfort, beauty and relaxation in mind. The setting of the hotel is in the perfect spot right on the river and surrounded by towering mountains.They should add ”resort” to the name. The room was plush and spacious with a great view of both river and mountains. The infinity pool is amazing and built for relaxation. It has comfortable cabana style lounge chairs literally in the pool. The staff is very attentive and met every need. They also provide shuttle service to the river rafting starting point and provide bicycles for riding around the countryside. (The hotel is also the end point of the river rafting trip.) The only downside is that the hotel is difficult to get to. Apparently there are plans to make this town into a tourist destination. Most of the major roads were torn up and the facades of most buildings are under construction. Even with that, being at the resort makes all that irrelevant. If you need a place to wash all your stress away, this is the perfect place. If I had one recommendation, it would be to think about foreign guests in terms of adult beverages. There is a beautiful bar right next to the pool... but one doesn't want tea while at the pool. Everything else about this hotel is perfect.

Amazing hotel! It really is more like a resort with a lot of things to discover. Unfortunately, probably due to the current pandemic situation, not everything has been in operation. You got a little nice bar for the occasional long-nighter 😅 there and a restaurant with a huge menu of different meals. The restaurant service has been unbelievable quick to serve the fresh cooked dishes. The hotel itself has been quite clean and the service staff always been helpful. Do not expect anyone speaking English thou. The whole surrounding is taken care of with visible passion and still you feel like in the middle of the jungle. If you got some time to spare, walk around the little village outside the hotel and try to find the small beautiful almost historic part of it, still being actively lived in by the locals. Just please always be respectful and cautious not to disturb them in any way. FYI: if you arrive there by bus from from Nanning (南宁) to DaXin (大新) (the ride itself is absolutely worth it), there are local drivers Infront of the bus station who know how to get to the hotel. Just make sure not to pay more then 250 RMB. Also make sure all your health codes, passports, visas, etc are all in order and quickly handy. After all it is a border region and the are a lot of checkpoints to pass through. That's no time to mess up anything.

The hotel itself is fine for a short stay. The location is excellent for the entry to the waterfall park, BUT you need to travel approx 20km back along S325 (X538/Yanbian Highway toward Nanong/Fujiao on Google Maps)to obtain entry tickets. Our rooms were clean, the beds (Chinese) firm and, lo and behold, the plumbing accurate..ie the cold and hot signs on the mixer taps were correct. I have marked down the services simply because there were few to be had and our rooms were not serviced after our first night. When my daughter queried this with the front desk the reply was that we did not request the service. Similarly facilities are marked down because they consisted solely of a bedroom, albeit very roomy BUT highly expensive for a hotel with so little to offer. There were no food services, neither breakfast nor dinner, availble for our visit, and none within walking distance - unless you fancy walking a county lane in the dark. The hotel suggested a small village approx 3kms along route S325. However parking here was 20RMB no matter your length of stay. This village is also the entry point to the waterfall park where you should be able to buy tickets - but the machines would not work for our Chinese citizen and would not accept foriegner details. We eventually drove approx 8km back past the hotel to the next village along S325 (X538/Yanbian Highway toward Nanong/Fujiao on Google Maps) that had open restaurants - sorry name of village not available but the food was excellent..local river fish. Apologies but I actually forgot to photograph the locale and rooms etc. Frankly I cannot recommend this hotel unless they develop their services to provide adequate restaurant facilities.
