Motel 6 Davenport, IA

Stay away. My friend and I were tired after a long day of traveling. We checked in only to find one of the beds in our room didn't even have bedding on it. The clerk moved us to another room. The entire place was filthy and gross. We went out to dinner, came back, got our belongings and left. Went across to road to a nice, clean hotel. I would not have felt clean or safe at this Motel 6. The worst I have ever seen.

1000% hands down the worst place I've ever stayed. Roaches, so much cigarette smoke in the hotel my eyes burned, dirty floors, dirty BED, dirty towels. NOTHING WAS CLEANED AFTER THE LAST PERSON. I slept in the car instead. Will never consider a Motel 6 again, this experience has put me off the brand completely.

Bugs, bugs, everywhere. Hundreds. Front desk came and sprayed. No effect. On ceiling, floors, tub, under microwave, on beds. We left at 1:00 AM after a 13 hr. road day. Letters to manager and corporate but with NO response. Worst motel experience in 78 years.

My husband and I made the mistake of booking here. The hotel is in bad shape. The halls are dirty and smelled. The room looked like someone had stayed there. Everything was grimy and dirty. I didn’t see the bugs others wrote about, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were there. No fridge or microwave like other Motel 6’s. I was told they are for people who stay longer. Like anyone would want to. There was only 1 bath towel and two grimy hand towels. I asked the person at the front desk for another towel and she said “no”. She said something about not being able to read my mind about wanting more towels. We cancelled our reservation and walked out.
