Hotel was nice and overall clean but description shows that hotel have non smoking rooms but our first room smells like ashdrray. Hotel was fully booked exept suites (i eas not agreed to pay more) and they promised to overclean our room. But sadly smoke smell didn’t disappeared. Smell was still in the shower room and it was discusting. Next night we got new room and everything was fine. Location is great. Breakfast was modest but ok. You can park your car in to underground parking place and it was without extra cost.

The hotel has complete facilities and relatively new decoration. The rooms are spacious and bright, clean and tidy. The girl at the front desk and the security guard are very friendly and helpful. They even upgraded our room for free. The overall check-in experience for a family of six is very good. The breakfast is rich in varieties, especially Datong's special sliced noodles and haggis taste great! It's a pity that this trip to Datong is only for one night. If I stay for one more day, I will continue to stay! Will choose this hotel again in the future!

The room was very lighting, big and beautiful views at night. Very clean and the staff was so so helpful. They helped us to book a taxi to go to The Hanging temple and buy tickets. Totally recommended. We will come back. The manager was so friendly.

The young lady at the front desk and the handsome guy will provide patient and enthusiastic service and respond to every request. 3. Regarding travel, we parked the car here and took a taxi to the surrounding scenic spots. The starting price is about 10 yuan. The people of Datong are simple, kind and enthusiastic. 4. I have to say that the details of the room moved me a little. The water in the bath is invincible, better than the bath water. I strongly recommend it. In the end, this is the first time and I will definitely be back.

Moreover, three people stayed in the four-person room booked, but only one room card was given when checking in. There is not always someone at the front desk. If you need anything, you need to call or shout in the yard. Facilities: The facilities are OK. As Datong, which is at the same altitude as Zhangjiakou, this house has no heating. It relies on central air conditioning + independent air conditioning for heating, but this is the north! I was so dry that I had to turn on the air conditioner for heating in the south. Not to mention Datong. I turned on the air conditioner all night and couldn’t sleep because of the dryness. It’s not okay not to turn on the air conditioner, it’s really cold! It’s still minus ten degrees outside in March. Other facilities. It's a duplex, but the second floor is half a loft. I sleep on the mat at night like sleeping on the floor. The key is that there is only one electrical socket in the loft, no small cabinet, no bedside table, and even no independent light for the small loft. 😭 It's really a loft with no other conveniences except sleeping on the floor, like an enlarged version of the ”upper bunk” in the dormitory. This room is equipped with a walk-in closet, which is good. The bath water is relatively hot, the bath floor drain is also fast, and the toilet flushing noise is small, which is good. I stayed one night at the hotel. I was visiting Datong. I arrived early and asked front desk if I could leave my suitcase whilst I did some sightseeing. The front desk staff told me I could check into my room. The young lady who assisted me spoke some English. She also helped me with booking tickets to visit the Yungang Grottes. My room rate included breakfast which had a wide choice of items. The room I had (1212) was spotlessly clean and had a view towards the old walls. I would highly recommend this hotel for a tourist visit.

We stayed at Yungang Jianguo Hotel for 5 days. The service of the old hotel is quite good. Let me talk about the location first. The hotel is in a very good location. It is on Yingbin Road, not far from Parkson and other business districts. Behind the hotel is the south wall of the ancient city 1 kilometer away. , there happens to be a lantern festival just above, just walking distance. Besides, the hotel's parking lot is very large, which is very suitable for those who come by car. Even if it's the Spring Festival rush hour, you don't have to worry about not being able to park your car. The hotel breakfast is also good, starting at 6:30, with rich varieties, the service staff is very good, and the dishes are removed in time. Knowing that we were going to drive, we thoughtfully prepared fruit, milk and bread for us to take on the road, which was very warm. The important thing to say is that the aunt who cleans the room is very nice. When she comes back from going out every day, the room will be cleaned, bath products will be replenished, and a fruit plate will be provided every day. The hotel also gave me bathing coupons. Stayed here 3 nights with my family. The hotel is close to the high speed railway station. The guest room is well appointed and comfortable. Cleanliness can do better, there was mold in the bathroom. The bell staff service was lacking, our request to arrange for transport to the Train station on the day of our departure was denied The bell hop asked us t make our own arrangements Other than that, all good during our stay. We would like to make special mention to their Front Office manager, Mr Yang whom we had the pleasure to meet on the first day when we checked in. When he found out that we required a driver and a guide to bring around us to explore Datong, Mr Yang quickly made the arrangement at a reasonable price. He even arranged for the Chinese Restaurant to serve us lunch when he heard that we needed lunch. Lunch at the restaurant was good and we continued to patronise thoroughout our stay. We must compliment the great service rendered by all day dining and Chinese restaurant service teams. Thank you, once again to Mr Yang for going his extra mile to serve us. Your hospitality made our stay at Yungang Hotel so memorable.
