Fantastic luxury hotel room to stay in near the banks of the Erhai Lake. Close to the ancient town (20 minute didi) while also being convenient for access to the train station. Staff overall excellent, helping to arrange pickup from and to the train station as well as a tasty breakfast (though they need to get some ketchup or other sauces in there asap!) The rooftop bar was also excellent with a set meal on dianping and view of the lake at night, although the free cocktails were frankly horrible and the waiter only seemed to care about the Meituan reviews… The room itself was huge and newly decorated, with lots of amenities and gave us a beautiful sunrise from bed. Sadly the hotel is let down slightly by nearby building work as they really are an eyesore for an otherwise excellent hotel.

I really like the wooden rafts and beautiful Christmas trees. I also like to book this room. Behind the bed is Cangshan to see the snow. In front is the endless blue and Bohai Sea. The green plants planted in the toilet make the toilets pleasing to the eye. I sat on the balcony with my good sisters for an afternoon and lay down comfortably. Outside the fence is the hustle and bustle of passing travelers. Sitting in the yard, I don’t know what I am thinking about, and I don’t need to think about anything. The landlady is very enthusiastic and responds to all requests. She will send roses and welcome fruits when you check in. There is a cat and a dog in the yard. The landlady said that when she is busy, she is happy to run a B&B, and when she is free, she enjoys a leisurely vacation~ There are many B&Bs in Dali. I am lucky to have chosen this one. I can experience the leisurely vacation in Dali. I have a feeling that I will come back next time! Warm reminder, there is no TV because we don’t need it!

My goal was to wake up every day and open my window and step outside and enjoy the view. I think I accomplished this staying here. Area : It’s located in a village near the city center 20 minutes and about the same to the ancient town. It’s per dominantly a Muslim town , so you will find lots of BBQ and Halal eats. Also shops for simple basics are available. The town comes alive after 5:00 pm. Food : You can order Weimai like McDonald’s and KFC for example, nothing western around. We got breakfast daily, as you can see it’s a set menu. But we enjoyed it , the options were plenty. Also, every afternoon they brought an afternoon snack , super nice and a great touch. Room / Hygiene: The room we picked had the balcony, it was spacious the bed was comfortable. The stand alone bath was clean, and the bathrooms as well. Toiletries and slippers provided. The hotel can use some changing or cleaning of rugs and dust a bit on the corners. Over all it was good. Transport : You need to get a taxi to go places , or take the bus. Not sure if it’s because it’s summer but getting a taxi was not very pleasant. I took the bus #2 in front of the village to go to the mall. Easy 2 RMB you can use your apple map. Customer Service : The customer service was nice , the ladies were helpful in finding a place for COVID test. Our last day they arranged a driver , it was hard to get transportation. Over all , it was a nice stay I only picked this hotel due to the view. If you want more action stay near the ancient town.
