The hotel common areas are quite nice, though the front desk staff was short. I have a Hilton rewards account but was not permitted to add it to my booking because I didn't book directly which is odd. The attached garage (way overpriced) did not have an attendant, and when I ran into a problem getting in, they suggested I park my car at a public garage across the street. The room itself was cramped and in need of repair. There was significant visible water damage on the ceiling and the entire wall moulding at the top had separated probably due to settling. The tub was similarly in need of repair and the enamel was chipped - revealing previous layers. There was no vent in the bathroom - instead they'd cut a notch on the bottom of the door. The layout of the room meant that if the bathroom door was open, you had to roll over the bed to walk around. Lastly, the deadbolt didn't super work without lots of effort to push against the door. Lastly, I called down to the desk in the morning and the phone just kept ringing. Upon going down to the lobby, I discovered a line of people waiting with nobody at the desk. All in all, for a 4 star hotel, I was pretty disappointed. I bet in its heyday, this hotel was way more than it is now.
