Great hotel in a fantastic location! Close to many attractions in the old city. The receptionist is very kind and friendly. While we initially had a room facing the Main Street that was a bit noisy, the staff kindly helped us move to a twin bed room facing a quiet area which was perfect for us! Cosy room with a very comfortable bed. Overall, we had a lovely stay at this hotel!

The decoration and room style of the homestay are very girlish, especially the tiles in the room. Although it is a windowless room, it is complete with all the organs and the bed is clean and comfortable. In addition to the design of the toilet sink is not very reasonable, the rest is very good. A small boutique hotel tucked away from the craziness of the main road in old chiang mai. The staff are so friendly and hospitable and they are the ones who really made our stay wonderful. The hotel itself was small but the rooms were well laid out and cozy. It was so refreshing coming back to the hotel and having casual chats with the staff and there was always all you can eat fresh fruit, tea and coffee available from the fridge. The pool was small but clean and such a relief from the heat. The breakfast was decent but did get repetitive after two days. Would highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay at ISTY. It's set in a neighborhood that felt safe to walk around in (though beware that there are no sidewalks in most of Chiang Mai so you have to be careful), and we really enjoyed nearby food stalls each evening as well as a full night market by the north gate. (By the way, there's vegetarian food at the far east side. And there are a couple of vegetarian eateries within walking distance, though I think only during lunch.) The rooms are basic (think shelves but not dressers) but clean and comfortable; beds are Thai style so firm. The co-working/meal area is fabulous, as is the rooftop bar; we spent a lot of time in the outdoor co-working/pool area but either wore long clothes or sprayed against mosquitoes (there were just a few, and an herbal rather than Deet spray was sufficient). The pool is gorgeous but shaded and on the cold side so we mainly looked at it haha. It was getting smoky as February went on (thank goodness for a couple fluke rainstorms that cleared the air for a few days), and there didn't seem to be much air filtration so our eyes were stinging even in our room--but I think that's true elsewhere throughout the region too.

This is our second visit to Chiang Mai. This time my wife and I stayed in The White Elephant Home for two nights. The location is great, very close to old city, only several minutes’ walk. I prefer to stay outside the old city for quiet, clean and comfortable neighbourhood. We booked a room for two and they upgraded us to a family room for three. The room is spacious, new and clean with a lovely balcony. The interior and exterior match the photos and description on the website. Breakfast is freshly cooked and is delicious. We enjoyed it in the lovely garden. The staff are nice and helpful, they have friendly smiles all the time. They speak good English and provided useful information to us in buying Green bus ticket to Chiang Rai. I didn't drive this time but I saw them providing car covers to guests and helped to cover and to remove it. Will definitely stay in The White Elephant Home again if we visit Chiang Mai again. Highly recommend!

Good points : great location (walking distance from the old town and near lots of great bars and places to eat), nice, friendly staff and quirky decor. Negative points : room lacking some basic facilities (which would be really easy to add). There was nowhere to put your clothes, except 4 wall hooks. We were there 8 days so would have really liked to have been able to unpack a bit. No mirror or dressing table area in the bedroom. The kettle plug didn’t reach a power socket from any of the surfaces, so I had to hold it while it boiled. There were quite a few holes in the bed linen and towels (pictures attached). The room was really clean when we checked in but wasn’t cleaned that well once we were there (especially the bathroom and shower plug area which got blocked and wouldn’t drain properly) We had to complain about the cleanliness and, fair pay to the staff, they did rectify this straight away. Note - we stayed in one of the double, upstairs rooms with a balcony, it’s got light blue decor. Overall, this could be a great place if a little more thought and ‘love’ was put into it.

I stayed here for 3 nights on a solo trip and because it wasn’t my first time to the city, I was rather specific about where I wanted to stay, and I chose this hotel for its location in old town near to the many cafés I had wanted to visit. First app - the service. It was amazing! I was scheduled to arrive at 10pm and although the late check in procedure was originally a personal email on unlocking various locks to get the room as the lobby that connects to the bar was closed, after I responded, they actually said they will have someone to wait for me at the reception to help me with my check in. Already a very positive note even before I arrive! Check in was swift and the room was exactly like shown. Its not a style for all, but I love it. Its simple, classically modern and functional. My only gripe is that there are not enough power points near the main bed (or you will Need a longer wire) so you really have to charge your phones at the TV Consol (with my short wire) which means that you don’t get to have your phone right besides your bed. The bed is Asian style firm so if you like it cushy, then its not for you. The pillows were also not that ok, even though with 4, its not the firm kind so i did have trouble sleeping. But if you like fluffy kind, these are your heaven. The bathroom had all the amenities needed - toothbrush, cotton, et al., but no mouthwash, so bring your own. There is also handwash next to sink and a good hair dryer provided. Shower pressure was surprisingly good and the wall mounted heater means u can tune the hot water manually to your liking. The location is superb as its near Thae Pae gate and You can really explore the old Town easily within walking distance from this location. The hotel also has a coffee bar with very cool drinks.

Advantages: 1. The hotel is right next to the Tapei Gate. It is very convenient to travel. It is about a 20-minute walk to the fruit wholesale market and a 20-minute walk to the Saturday Night Market. The Sunday Night Market is next to me. This is my choice. QUU Hotel in Chiang Mai was the best hotel by far we have stayed in during our holiday in Thailand. The staff are fantastic and helpful and go out of their way to help you and make your stay one to remember. The rooms are almost brand new, large in size, clean and very modern and stylish. The breakfast is generous and fresh, and their cafe and coffee is also excellent. We highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Chiang Mai, and now wished we’d stayed in Chiang Mai at the QUU hotel longer than the 4 nights we booked. It is incredible value for what you pay. We’ll definitely be back to stay!

I visited Chiang Mai for a few days. The Valentier Cafe and Hotel was a great choice as it is near many places of interest. The street the hotel is on is quiet and has many interesting cafes and restaurants. It's in a cool neighborhood in Old Chaing Mai. The room was super cozy and comfortable. AC worked very well and was super quiet. The hotel has a pool perfect for families with small children. I definitely recommend the Valentier Cafe and Hotel

Staff attitude is very very very good. I will recommend where to play, and I will be very patient when I ask for directions. The sanitation inside the room is not so clean, there are yellow marks on it, the door locks of the room are old-style and look unsafe, but they are actually safe. After all, no one is bored to steal the lock and steal things. , Not to mention the camera, so it is still relatively safe. Although the room was directed at the roadside, it was relatively quiet, and occasionally heard the sound of a motorcycle, but it did not affect anything.
