Chiang Mai Phra Sing Hotels

I didn't expect the hotel to be so good as I paid a small amount of money for a night. Everything just exceeded my expectations - in-room amenities, room space, location, staff... Everything was just on point. I would rate it 10 out of 10 and I would definitely come back if I ever consider getting an accommodation in Chiang Mai.

We stayed at the Pingviman Hotel in Chiang Mai on our Honeymoon in December. The hotel is in the perfect location and you can access most places quite easily by foot, motorcycle, bicycle or tuk tuk. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. One of the highlights of this hotel was the concierge, Art. He helped us find some incredible activities to do, at really competitive and affordable pricing. We really enjoyed the activities he recommended for us. Something I will say is that the cleanliness could be slightly better and the rooms could use a deep clean post-Covid. Breakfast was also very basic in comparison to some of the other hotels we stayed at in Thailand. Overall is was a lovely stay and hassle-free experience and we would stay here again.

Auntie, the accommodation is very caring, very cute, clean accommodation, has a common area to use, sit and talk, work, foreigners, stay a lot, quiet, comfortable bed, soft bed, near Seven, convenient transportation, inexpensive, bicycles and motorcycles for rent. the only thing that is attached is that there is no hair dryer 55555555555

We stayed at the Makkachiva for 7 nights and we had a great time. Every single member of staff was a star but I must give a special mention to Phueng who took care of us at breakfast each morning. Her smiley face and incredible service was a joy, thank you Phueng. We had a 4th floor room overlooking the street which was great, being able to watch the sun set each evening. The hotel also has an AMAZING collection of Thai art adorning every wall, there are many incredible pieces. We had the joy of being here at Songkran and the staff gave us a special welcome home that day. The hotel doesn't have a pool but for 200 Baht each we got a day ticket to Chimes around the corner. If you are looking for a hotel that's central to old town Chiang Mai that is beautiful, comfortable and has great staff I recommend the Makkachiva.

Location The hotel is located in the middle of the old town and looks rather unseen from outside. With its location you can run the whole city with all its Buddhist temples and markets very well. Rooms We had booked a small suite. The view from the balcony was modest, but best suited to track the life on the street. Our room was an idyll; a more beautiful, stylish bathroom I have not yet experienced. The whole Thai interior was cozy, practical and for the well-being. Personal really meant friendliness and helpfulness were at the top. The staff at the reception always had a answer to all our questions, if not themselves, then they at least knew who they can call. Breakfast mix between a la Carte and buffet; everything fresh and delicious. Pool narrow and directly behind the limit wall. Not for long stays to the sun, but best to swim a few rails.

I had a room that both door and window overlooked interior courtyards, which meant that it was completely separate from the town making it quiet and restful. It had a couple of quirks -- there was a long list of things not to steal, there was a (very cute) do not disturb/out of room hanger that was always by the room. My room (and presumably each room) had its own router which is both very nice (more reliable) and a bit inconvenient at times (the network in the breakfast area was different, the router was on an outlet that was turned on by putting my key in the key holder so it always took a couple of minutes to start back up when I returned). The location is good. It has the usual local quirks (such as not being able to flush toilet paper). They seem to be still ramping up after the shutdown -- breakfast was buffet for two mornings and order off a menu for the other one.

Although the staff weren’t the friendliest (as they were mostly glued to their mobile phones), there isn’t anything to complain about. The hotel is very well kept, rooms are exceptionally clean and it’s located within walking distance from the main attractions in the old part. Highly recommend the Cozy Inn

This quaint hotel was rather underwhelming with the service. Upon arrival, we were ”greeted” with unwelcoming receptionist. Not that we couldn't help ourselves with my one luggage, it would have been nice if an offer to help by the receptionist/bellboy. In the end we carried the luggage to our room, up 3 flights of stairs, with the receptionist walking casually behind. Next, we had trouble with the lock to the door. The same receptionist took our key card and tried (almost breaking it with some brute force) before it worked. One of the key catd seemed to be not working. Instead of sending the replacement key card to us, the receptionist ”instructed” us to collect from the front desk. Of which, we obliged so as not be too self-entittled. It would have been nice if it was otherwise. One of the house keeping staff (female) was consistent in maintaining her disinterest in service. When asked about the switch for the jacuzzi in the main swimming pool, she just replied ”no, no, no”.... when my friends and i asked for the pool towel from the front desk, (yes, the towel ran out and no one was there to help), the same female staff appeared with a few towels. She really looked unhappy and always like stomped off after leaving two stacks of towels thereafter. The bext day when i asked for the shower gel and shampoo to use from the front desk (since it was not replenished during house keeping) again, the same staff brought over the small bottles of shower gel and shampoo. She just left the littles bottles in my hands and turned away... when i thank her nonetheless, she walked on without turning or any form of acknowledgement. well, i supposed she must be hvaing a hard time at the workplace. I wish her well. So i informed the manager that the staff may indeed need some help to cope. To wrap the final day (and our less pleasant stay here), my friends witness a couple of units at our block who smoked in front of their units. One even had the ash-tray on the coffee table (similar to the one left at the designated smoking area). That left us rather puzzled that why the double standards where those guests were given the liberty to smoke in front of their units and for my friends, they had to climb 3 flights of stairs to the designated smoking area each time when they wish to smoke. Nonetheless, the manager of the hotel did her best to address our feedback when we were checking out. Thank you for listening to us.

Fantastic little family style hotel in the old city. Lovely building and nice spacious and impeccably clean rooms. The location can’t be beat, moments from the Chiang Mai Gate, markets, nice restaurants, 7Eleven, and easy walking distance to all the old town holds. Most of all the staff and the owner are a delight, always ready for a chat, full of useful advice, and they really treat you like family. Also very LGBTQIA + friendly. Highly recommend. 10/10 would come back and enthusiastically recommend to all!

I traveled in Thailand for a week because I had to go to Pattaya on the way, so the trip to Chiang Mai was cut into two accommodations. Besides, because of the new hotel, there is no other hotel’s breakfast buffet with so many varieties. It is still based on set meals. There is a large plate of fruit and bread and milk orange juice yogurt. This kind of breakfast is rich enough for normal people. At the same time, this mode is good for For the store, it is also the most cost-effective. If you wake up early, the hotel can also prepare a take-out breakfast. Then the hotel’s mineral water and banana mangosteen are free to eat. The fruits may be adjusted according to the season. There are also some snacks. Although the itinerary is only two days, the overall feeling is still very good. The swimming pool of the hotel is also very small and fresh. It is very comfortable to swim at noon with a cradle.
