All in all a very disappointing experience. Here’s an overview of my experience: - room(s): booked the Borneo suite (room #6) located on the ground floor. First impression highly negative as the room had a strong stench of humidity which literally took me by the throat. We had to move to another room after the second evening because the other travelling party was sick due to (allergy / asthma attack / constant coughing) the disgusting smell permeating every area of the room. We finally moved on the third day to room 8 which is one level just above room #6. Although not perfect, it was certainly an improvement. Probably because the room benefits from more sun exposure. The heritage style of the bathroom is very nice but obviously takes a backseat to the horrendous sanitary condition of the room. I was a bit underwhelmed by the staff reaction to our predicament since the first reaction was to suggest adding a dehumidifier in the original room. Only after intimating we would leave the hotel did we get a change of room. Overall, this is probably the worst room experience I’ve ever had (that includes cheap hotels during my student days) and I find it stunning that rooms which are clearly not fit for occupation are offered to clients especially considering the hotel seemed relatively empty. We ultimately left one day before since we were left with health issues and had to spend most of the time on the terrace. - facilities: (a) the swimming pool looks nice if you’re an instagram type but I didn’t manage to use it since it was not heated (there is little to no sun exposure at least in the afternoon so quite chilly), (b) the gym is fine if you stick to stationary bike or treadmill. The weights / machines section is essentially non-existent. Went to a professional and well equipped gym (Pump gym) about 25mn walk from the hotel (brisk pace) which charges THB 100 per session. - restaurant: from a visual perspective the restaurant looks nice (there’s only one I believe). The breakfast lacked in terms of variety but the quality was pretty good. Tried an in-room service the last evening as we were too exhausted to exert ourselves to walk to the restaurant. The food was OK but nothing special. Try Wanlamum near by which offers good Thai food at decent price and a nice setting by the river. - hotel premises: the hotel, the garden area and the bar / restaurant look great. Found it annoying that the cleaning staff spends the whole day cleaning the leafs in the garden area. You get this constant broom sound from very early morning. - service: found it to be uneven. The staff at the restaurant were very nice and helpful. Didn’t like being pitched twice an airport transfer at THB 1,100 (the airport is about 15 mn away). Do yourself a favour and just use Grab. The only compensation we were given for our lousy experience was a write off for a 5mn local call from the room fixed line phone. Never saw anybody from management taking an interest in our predicament. - location: the hotel is not exactly close to the city’s areas of interest but very straightforward to move around by ordering a car via Grab. It pains me to write such a negative review since I really wanted to like this place but our whole trip in Chiang Mai was completely wasted as my travel companion didn’t have the energy to move around after the second day and we had to cancel all our plans including excursions. It’s now 3 days since leaving the hotel and we have yet to be entirely on our feet due to the health issues we picked up and the rest of our trip in Thailand in likewise totally ruined. I’m sure some people will like the hotel (maybe some of the rooms with better sun exposure do not stink as much) but if you have issues such as asthma, allergies or maybe you are a person of a certain age I would highly suggest you try another hotel especially when you consider this is one of most expensive hotel in the Chiang Mai region.

It’s a very nice and pretty hotel with friendly stuff, the location is okay given that it’s a quiet and chill place to stay and not too far from the central. The breakfast was alright if only they can have more variety. They have this butler service which can help you arrange everything you need for the trip which is pretty convenient. Overall we enjoy our stay here and hope to visit again!

I read two negative reviews before traveling and was a little worried. After the results arrived, I found that my worries were unnecessary. The hotel has beautiful greenery and the rooms are very clean. We are a family of four, two adults and two children. We did not fill in the correct number of people when we made the reservation. When we arrived, we were told that we needed to upgrade the room type. Although we had to pay the price difference, the extra bed fee and meal fee for the children were included. Very reasonable. Everyone must fill in the correct number of people before making a reservation. Had a very nice three days. For ten days this time, I booked 137, Raya Heritage and Four Seasons Hotel. 137 is my first choice next time I come to Chiang Mai.

It's a really, really good hotel with a good environment and good hotel facilities. In fact, hotels at this price are not too bad, but I really want to give this hotel a good review! The hotel's service is very good. They answer all your questions and recommend good places to you. The hotel will give you suggestions based on your own needs. The hotel has its own spa, but they will still recommend good ones outside. The spa places are for you, you need to decide for yourself! ! This is a hotel that I really like. I will choose this hotel next time I come.

I have stayed in many hotels and seldom comment because there is no space, but I definitely have a say in the quality of the hotel. First of all, the hotel is very small, there are few rooms in total, it is pocket-sized, and there is only one restaurant. If you want to stay for a few nights, it is not recommended, it will be very boring. The second room is very old and not as bright and advanced as the pictures look. The third is the breakfast, which can be described as simple to the extreme. It is the simplest breakfast I have ever seen in a five-star hotel. There are very short self-service counters, few choices, and the waiter service is very unfamiliar. The fourth swimming pool is not big, and the sanitation is average. The floating leaves are not cleaned in time, and the deck chairs are full of water and no one cares. Got home. The fifth is also the most important reason for me to write a review. On the second night of our stay, something disgusting and horrible happened after we came back at night. As soon as we opened the bathroom door, the ground was covered with ants. The first reaction was because the child needed to take a bath I cleaned it up by myself immediately, and I was shocked when we entered the bathroom again not long after we all took a shower, and the ground was covered with ants again, just like in the video! ! It was really disgusting. It was already 12 o'clock at that time and the child was already asleep, but no one would like to endure this for a night. I immediately notified the hotel and asked for another room. In the middle of the night, we moved our luggage, packed our things, and returned to the hotel. Carrying the sleeping child to the new room was exhausting. The hotel didn't give any explanation. It just said that there were many bugs in the rainy season, so why didn't there be any other rooms, and the layout of the rooms was the same, so there was no difference! Because of the unhappy experience, I proposed that I want to leave two days in advance. I communicated repeatedly, and I always communicated with a person who claimed to be the manager named Big. Finally, he came to me at night and told me that his leader agreed. Let's check out early, but only refund one night's room rate... One night's refund for one night... (He said, my manager Anne she is very difficult to talk, she is British, no one dares Talk to her, only me, I talked to her for a long time before she agreed to refund your room fee for one night) But! ! ! Even more exasperating is coming! ! ! The next day, when I asked Ctrip and the hotel to connect with the refund, this guy named Big completely regretted it, saying that he had never said that before, and he was really angry. I have never seen such an unreasonable person. My phone There is a video recording in it, and Ctrip also has a recording of him agreeing to that passage, and Xiecheng also expressed that he was speechless... so can he go back on his word? I really want to ask this big, is he playing a game where one person plays two roles? Play one person during the day and another at night? Also where did you learn Chinese? Has anyone told you what is the basic quality of keeping your word? If you don't understand the meaning of our Chinese, don't come out and be ashamed. Your behavior will discredit the entire Thai people! ! ! From the beginning to the end, I didn't receive any sincere apology, and I was completely indifferent! The other butler named Ray was also eccentric all the way! Very unfriendly to Chinese guests! Putting aside the anger and the ant incident, I sincerely suggest that you don't need to live in this hotel, and other aspects are really not worth it! The service is very poor! If you must go, pay attention! The ants in our room are not ruled out to be man-made, but unfortunately there is no evidence, and there is no monitoring in the room, because it is really strange to have so many ants)

The overall most satisfying thing is the bathroom. However, the relationship between the room partitions still makes the overall space feel relatively small. The rest are in line with five-star hotel standards. The restaurant is very good, the dining experience is very good, and there is live music

It's a quiet, small and exquisite hotel. There aren't many facilities for babies, but the service is very good. You can go there again when your children are older.

One of my favorite hotels in Chiang Mai. A classic representative of SLH. As long as I return to Chiang Mai, I will not choose any other hotel.
