The location was a little bit far from the ocean and restaurants and other entertainment but otherwise it was OK the service for room cleaning was good but at the entrance I did not really receive any help with my bags maybe because they were too small bags but some assistant would’ve still been nice the food was OK not a lot of variety but OK the room was also fine the bathroom was OK it’s a nice place for a short trip if the business you want to do it within the area it is too far from everything else and will cost a lot in transportation to get to the beach and to places with entertainment

The hotel is very cute and cozy, I loved my room despite was quite smaller comparing to the pictures shown in their page. People are lovely and breakfast is awesome the only 2 thing that upset me a lot is that I complained twice that my A/C heater was doing a very heavy noise and hasn’t been fixed at all as well in my room there was a problem with the hot water and on Winter time in Cape Town this is such a discomfort.

This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed for one night in early March and came back for two more nights. A 10 minute walk from the Waterfront, close to nice bars and restaurants. The rooms are big and comfortable. Very clean and quiet. The best thing though is the staff. So friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The welcome drink, cake of the day and snacks shows they care. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will be back.

The neighborhood is also rich, and the security issues are not bad. It is well known that law and order in South Africa is not abrupt. Ctrip reservations need to be booked in advance, otherwise the hotel will show unpaid, but Ctrip has shown payment ... Ctrip is better than Booking in terms of price, this is a must.

Simply spike! The coronation finish of our South Africa tour. Beautiful large rooms, with 2 large comfortable beds, even a window can be opened a little (a very large plus), so you do not necessarily have to turn on the air conditioning. Big bathroom, extra toilet, extra shower, bath coat and bathrooms are also available. Coffee machine and water cooker are available. There is nothing missing at breakfast, very great. The staff is very friendly and attentive, especially at breakfast. In the entire hotel lobby bar and breakfast area, temperature is not too much cooled. A pleasant smell of “White Tea” flows across the house. A small pool and a larger hall bath are available, both not used for time shortage. You can go to the Waterfront about 20 minutes. A wonderful stay, unfortunately only for 2 nights.

GOOD - hotel service was very friendly and professional; breakfast was excellent; rooms were larger than normal; BAD: the area around the hotel can be a bit sketchy - especially at night; very few options for food after dark; not in a tourist area and not much to see in teh vinicity hotel itself was safe and quiet, but the central bussines district might not be the best option for many tourists. Not really close enough to be convenient to the waterfront - you could walk during the day but uber was only about $3, so that was a plus.

The hotel is located in the very bustling WATERFRONT pier, and there are many restaurants in the country. Seafood, western food, etc. are very busy, and it is very lively during the day and night! The second floor of the hotel can directly lead to WATERFRONT SHOP MALL, shopping mall, whether it is supermarket, clothing , life, even barber shop, nail shop everything! The front of the hotel is the Atlantic Ocean, the scenery is very beautiful! We booked a sea view room, open the floor-to-ceiling window curtains at 6 o'clock every day, you can see the sunrise rising from the Atlantic coastline, it is so beautiful!

Jeanot and Michel - the two brothers who are owners/innkeepers and their full staff are totally tuned into your needs and go out of their way to make everyone’s stay customized to their interests and tastes. They are also genuinely warm and friendly, like most Capetownians. Super accommodating on checkin and checkout times. Many of the rooms have exquisite views of Bo Kaap’s colorful rooms cascading up the hill and of the majestic lions head mountain formation above it! Breakfast is over the top great - hot and cold options- and included in the price and extras like laundry picked up and returned same day are nominally priced. Jeanot and Michael are quick to offer beach towels, umbrellas etc….. whatever you need to make your day perfect! They will also book meals, tours, etc. The airport pickup guy they book for you is an amazing find in his own right. Bazil Christian is his name and he also does incredible tours of parts of Capetown ans surrounds that you would never see otherwise … but that provide rich cultural context! 2nd time I’ve stayed at Rouge and I would never stay anywhere else in Capetown- the location is prefect as a base for all areas you might explore and the space and hosts are absolutely top notch!!

The hotel was clean and comfortable in a good location, just a short taxi ride to the waterfront. We were on the first floor (apparently fully booked so no rooms with a view available) so no view of table mountain but we could see a homeless camp on the road opposite. Cape Town is a beautiful city but there is a lot of poverty and you need to take care. The rooftop bar has incredible views and great cocktails although the food was of the ‘deep fried’ variety. Overall, it was good value for money,
