Casa Turquesa - Near Luxury Avenue Shopping Mall

I absolutely had a wonderful time on my vacation. The building and grounds are beautiful and the artwork is exquisite. I enjoyed both Katia's warm smile and generosity as well as the other woman who speaks english, but I didn't catch her name. I really loved speaking with her as she has a very strong and kind spirit. I noticed throughout my stay that there is 24hr security on site as I get up randomly throughout the night. When the AC stopped working in my room I was offered a different room with working AC, but I was comfortable in my suite and the night air was good enough to keep me cool until the next morning when they fixed it. I felt very welcomed, safe, and appreciated. They get 5 stars from me.

I liked that boutique-style hotel with its pieces of art, baby grand pianos, vintage staircase and airy lobby with the women’s statues, arching, stretching and bathing in the sun, and Frida’s huge portrait haughtily looking at all guests that come and go. That mixture of styles is liberating. The location is perfect – on the front line, a small private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, and the ocean - all possible hues of blue, it breathes day and night, and its waves are caressing one day and the other get harsh and slap you, knock you off your feet and drag you far from the shore to the Mer-people lurking in the ocean’s depth. It’s mesmerizing and lets you feel that you are on vacation. What I did not like is that when I booked the hotel on *******, it clearly stated that breakfast was included, but when I arrived, it turned out it was not. I decided to have breakfast in the hotel anyway as the rotunda where they serve it is perfectly located and gives you the ocean view, and you can see the seagulls and, if lucky, a giant lizard too, and it saves the hustle on where to go and eat. However, the service is not good. They have a few customers, are not in a hurry, do not clean tables properly, and in the morning you can see the food crumbs left from the previous day and it takes a long time to place the order and then more than 20 minutes to get your food. Still, the location of the hotel and how it’s designed are good and outweigh the other shortcomings.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Able to see the ocean from our window/patio and Soriana is just a few steps away.

Hotel on the beach, it does need a bit remodeling. It’s an older hotel a one point in time very nice. The staff was amazing Jose Manuel front desk went above and beyond!! Recommend their shrimp ceviche and ojo rojo(Michelada) also if you stay here buses run 24/7 easy to get around. After you get pass the vintage hotel and its needs for upgrading I would definitely book again here at casa turquesa also you must try torta brava walking distance from hotel. Thank you guys for making our first time to Cancun a memorable one. We will see you again real soon!

Resort amazing for its location and small size. Enjoyed the privacy and quietness. Relaxation resort.

Hotel is okay. Advertised restaurant is terrible! Can’t get anything to eat or drink before 9am…no coffee…nothing! Room service never answers phone!! No English speaking at all! No English speaking channels on television! I would NOT recommend this property to anyone!!

Pros: Views, staff are good honest people, paintings in many of the spaces. Cons: HUGE cost for key replacements which will get lost in cabs or if you accidentally swim with them or in the sand. We as customers want key cards or keyless safes. Tubs don’t hold water and echo the leak noise. Hot water works less than half the day (at least on the upper floors). Stucco cracking and caulking all dried and poorly done. Decks are weathered with broken boards. None of the tubs work outside and are eye sores. The mattresses are old spring mattresses on stucco platforms. Did I mention the fact that they make money off you losing keys? My stay was nearly 20 percent more because of a safe and door key replacement . I will never return.

Beautiful hotel with lots of art but many things need fixing: one sink that did not open to let water out, a toilet handle that fell (was fixed) air on that stopped working (they changed our room). The staff is not helpful and some (not all) of the staff at the restaurant is just useless. After 45 minutes we were still not served our breakfast for 2 and left just like another lady before us.
