Location Not the best , not the worst. Except for the location next to a very busy avenue, but more about that below. Room The rooms have had a soft renovation and they look appealing. They are rather large, including the bathroom with adequate lighting. Not the cleanest room though, as the pictures of the greasy marks on the desk and the footprints of the previous guests on the floor show. So I wiped everything down. Probably the hotel will reply I could have called for that, but no, the room should be clean before the guests arrive. Be aware, as some other guests have written in their review, that every edible or drinkable item that you encounter in this room, will be charged. Yes, even that bag of tea or powder coffee. Except on one bottle of water, this is not advertised. So I decided not to switch on the TV because before you know it, they could have charged me for that too? The biggest issue with the room is however the incessant street noise. Even on the 7th floor, you can count every single car, moped, truck or bus that drives by while trying to rest or sleep on your bed. Day and night. My room was at the front of the hotel, right above that busy avenue. There are also rooms facing the garden at the back where you won’t face a restless stay, but there is about a 50% chance you’ll get a room at the front. Thinking you’ll simply request a room at the back? Continue reading… Service I have stayed several times at this hotel as my employer puts me up here (I would never stay here on a leisure base), so I was aware of the noise problem and sent an email days before arriving, requesting a room at the back of the hotel. I received a reply they would accommodate my request based on availability. Fine. However, upon arrival my colleague checked in before me and I witnessed him changing his assigned room in the front to the back, for the same obvious reason. When it was then my turn to check in, I received a room in the front and changing it to one in the back turned out to be impossible: they were out of them now. So how should we interpret this: unprofessional, incompetent, negligent, simply don’t care? It had been perfectly possible to honour my request, but it did not happen. Oh, and do not expect apologies for this obvious mess up, no no, not even getting close to admitting something went wrong here. Actually, the supervisor (I could read her job title on her name tag) simply stood next to the clerk, shuffling her papers, and pretended not to notice the entire discussion. Breakfast In case you would decide to go for breakfast here, expect a mediocre buffet with the exact same items every single day. However, the biggest plus of the breakfast is the staff working there: they are the only workers in the entire hotel that actually smile, and that is in big contrast to the arrogance that seems to ooze out of every pore behind the reception. But then again, if you are working in such an incompetent environment, arrogance may have to bec

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of a Quark cruise in Patagonia. Our room and bathroom were large, clean and comfortable. We dined twice in the lobby bar and the food was very good. Our luggage handling was efficient. We would stay here again if we return to Buenos Aries.

I have never left a negative review for an hotel before. We arrived after the most magnificent holiday. We had booked a deluxe room and were given a standard room in The unrenovated floors. It was reminiscent of The Overlook Hotel in the Shining. We had also booked a double bed and were given 2 singles. I called reception and explained the situation the reception retorted with “why are you calling me”. I asked to have the room we had booked and she said “no - I am not changing your room”. I then had to spend hours with the manager whilst trying to order food in the restaurant (which when it arrived was poor and pretty inedible) The Manager was very helpful and accommodating but the reception staff were utterly rude. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Nice hotel, but they will rip you off. They quoted our stay in US dollars and then charged us in Argentinian pesos upon checkout. The charge was inflated by over $400 US dollars over their original quote due them using a different exchange rate on the pesos rather than the official exchange rate. I disputed with my credit card and they can do nothing. The front desk staff told me that the credit card exchange rate would be the same as theirs, not true.

A nice hotel with a good location. Several places I wanted to see were within walking distance. Stayed there a night before leaving for Antarctica. Staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and nice. I would definitely stay there again.

Stay in this hotel for two nights pre-cruise to Antartica. The renovated rooms are nice, very good value of money. The location is OK, easily walkable to many good restaurants and main shopping area. The buffet breakfast provided in the hotel restaurant is great. The early breakfast on the cruise day on the conference floor was not good.

We stayed here because our cruise company puts us up for one night before the beginning of the cruise. The week prior we stayed at the Tango de Mayo, and the latter was far better. Here are a list of things we did not like about Emperador: -Supposed to check us in at 3:00pm, but they were not ready for us until over 1 hour later. We had to kill time in the area. -Customer service was not nearly as good as the other hotel we stayed at. Less eager to help here, and staff seem inexperienced. -This hotel is far from major tourist sites. -Showers are a safety hazard. Poor shower door seals allow water to get on the tiled floors, and is a major fall hazard.

We were booked in by Hurtigruten for the night before our flight to Ushuaia. We checked in an hour or two early, visited the Hurtigruten check-in desk and then walked towards the city centre for dinner. Slept well in a room far larger than we needed, despite all the major roads outside. Enjoyed breakfast. We were lucky: our coach left at 9am but other customers have been required to leave much earlier, even around 2am! But we did not book this hotel for our three days in Buenos Aires before the cruise. Far too expensive compared with highly-rated alternatives. Watch out for sneaky charges for extras. Somehow £1 was charged to our credit card after we had left. For complimentary water which appeared to be free?
