Just beautiful, Michelin star chef and restaurant with brasserie overseen by the chef chefs from the restaurant. A 27 hole golf, through vines, fruit trees and lovely lakes. It was originally owned by 3 Norwegians who met at Harvard, but was eventually after a lot of renovations acquired by the present owners. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The golf is not very difficult although at the same time demanding. The rooms at chateau beautifully appointed other rooms at the Relais which spacious light and airy. They also offer facilities such as tennis, sauna heated outdoor and indoor pools, there’s also a spa, jacuzzi & hydro pool as well as billiard room in the chateau. It is ideal, we love it and have been returning there every year for the last 15yrs.

We have been coming to Vigiers for 25 years and have yet to be disappointed, we seem to have been fortunate with the weather. Idyllic setting and beautiful Chateau.Super friendly helpful staff. Relais rooms very comfortable, gym not brilliant .Superb breakfasts and excellent dinners.3 X nine hole golf courses , perfect for holiday golf . We love Vigiers and will be back again.

I have been visiting for 25 years plus. The setting is simply sublime. The magic is still there. Light spacious and comfortable accommodation in the relais excellent food.. good holiday golf. Value for money. I can’t fault it. The only problem is I can’t get back there fast enough. Jackie Dykes

Perfect stay. We stayed here after our wedding which is jist what we needed after 3 day wedding we wanted quite time to chill and indulge and this is the hotel for that great good wine and staff . The rooms where beautiful we had a room with own patio area was great

On a leisurely driving holiday round the south-west, we arrived without reservation but with good impressions from having read about this establishment in golf magazines. It was a beautiful morning and with the intention of staying for a few days and playing some golf, we sat on the terrace to have a drink and maybe lunch. There were a few golfers on the course but few people otherwise. We sat down in these beautiful surroundings after going inside to find a rather reluctant server. The server approached and asked what we wanted. I was about to order an aperitif and request a menu, when he abruptly left without a word. I asked him to wait but he ignored me. I made the immediate decision that things were unlikely to improve, and without either ordering or enquiring about a room, we drove to Eymet and had a wonderful lunch in a restaurant in the square, where people were very welcoming and the experience was memorable for all the right reasons. I note the comments above from other visitors whose concerns echo my own. This is a beautiful place but there has to be a big question mark over management, staff selection and training.

Amazing room in the Relais part of the chateau. Very large and well equiped with kettle etc. We had a ground floor room and it has a nice patio with tables for sitting out. Bed very comfy. Loved going down to the Chateau for drinks in the sun and then later on the Bistro for a lovely meal. Overall a very special place (our 2nd visit)

On a bike tour. Rode in and was blown away by the beauty of the estate. Check in was fantastic. Room was spacious and well equipped. Had a drink outside and service was excellent. Also, our group had dinner there that night and was excellent as well. All in all, a fantastic experience.
