Old time grandeur and history. Well furnished in the Spa Suite- Dame Nellie Melba. Large and comfortable room overlooking original Bendigo Post Office. Great location in centre of town on tram route. Pub meals were good.

Loved the old world aesthetics of hotel, though badly in need of TLC. Dining room cute and inviting.
Cleanliness of room was inconsistent. Bathroom needed a better clean (cob webs, wall tiles had dust/film on them, floor stained from wine??, makeup smeared around door architraves). Bed very comfortable and clean. Room was comfortable.

Property was in a great position and a lovely old style hotel.Check in staff were very helpful and couldn’t say a bad word about them
The hotel room needed some tender loving care the carpet was very badly stained the cabinet with the fridge inside wouldn’t close and was missing a handle and the toilet looked very old as the water at the bottom looked dirty
This hotel has so much potential I would definitely stay again even with the comments just needs a bit of a tidy up

Because of its location the Shamrock is a good option for anyone on foot that doesn't want to worry about transport.
The facilities were good. I wouldn't say luxury but comfortable and practical for a hotel room.

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Shamrock very much. The bed was comfy. The hotel is in a good location. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were delicious and the staff were wonderful.
