This is not a 5 star hotel experience. Clearly the rooms need some modernisation. There is for example only fans and no temperature control air con. Our bedroom only had one bedside table. When we changed rooms things didn’t work and we had to get them fixed. However staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was a good sized wardrobe and shower. We had lounge access which was a much smaller area than we are used to and served a very limited food and beverage selection, however Oscar was a great host and did everything possible to make our experience better. We went to the gym but a lot of the equipment was faulty. It is limited but one treadmill out of the three had a non functioning ramp. All of the cross trainers were not working properly. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was average but again friendly staff. Thank you also to Clara who realised our experience had not been great.

The hotel was excellent for the price we paid, and for the purpose that was just to spend the night, because we were in a long connection, I found the hotel excellent! The service was excellent, the transfer to the airport also! The room was very clean and spacious and the bathroom too! I just thought it was bad not to have a lift, we stayed on the third floor and it was pulled up the stairs with a baby on the neck! But out of that I thought it was great!

The hotel itself is not 7 stars, but it is the people who work there who makes it such a nice place. Didn’t have a bad experience here, my wife and I happened to be in Peru for a funeral and I had a health issue due to the emotional stress. Santiago from the reception was prompt to call the ambulance and they could fix the situation. Also when friends and family came to visit, I befriended waiter Carlos Abanto, very good guy, he deserves all the compliments, super professional. Because of people like them I plan to come back. Also Zarai Chileno (waitress) was nice and Jose the guy who used to clean my room. With this staff and location I assure you a lot of returning business and many good years to come. Located in a safe and residential area. 20 minutes by taxi from the Mariflores area. The rooms are clean but in need of some refurbishment, particularly the bathroom. I gave a 5 star because of the service, I arrived early around 12.00 and I did not have to wait, I was also given a late checkout which was a plus. On both occasion Luis was helpful. When I arrived there was a gentleman at the door, I was expecting to get some assistance with the luggage but that did not happen. Apart from that the hotel is reasonably priced. Few minutes away there is a shopping mall with a selection of high street shops and few restaurant (nothing fancy!)

Western-style buffet breakfast is not bad, orange juice and toast in general. The hotel is located in the affluent area, safe and secure, and there will be no problems when going out at night. At the door, the car is called to let the doorman call a regular taxi. It is expensive to park a car at the door.

I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. All my friends booked different hostels all over Miraflores but we've made this the meeting point, as it was walking distance to pretty much anything and everything. The vibes were awesome. The common areas were spacious and very clean. I did a walking tour to Barranco with one of their guides, I believe it was with Juan and that was very cool. The staff in the bar/breakfast area could be a little better. Service was very delayed and they naver had change when you wanted to tip them. I had the private room with a private bathroom and it was super clean and cozy! I was so happy it was on the 6th floor, gave me a little bit of privacy. Overall great experience and highly recommend Selina!

My only complaint was that due to a transportation work stoppage we had to adjust our reservation. We were charged for our Monday return basically twice because we arrived early. The room was available and we were scheduled to stay that day. Staff could of been more flexible due to what was occurring. We stayed there for almost two weeks. This was our second trip to Ibis.
