We had a great stay at Movich Buró 51. Our flight was delayed and we arrived in the middle of the night, but our check-in agent was very friendly and professional. Breakfast service was wonderful, service was impeccable. Would definitely repeat, and would highly recommend.

Staff was friendly but the hotel looked poorly managed. Lobby was very warm, got to our floor and again very warm hallways. The a/c was off. I was able to turn it on later during the evening. As soon as we got to our room there was a moist storage like smell. We had two rooms and both were the same. They did get better after running the a/c and circulating the air for a while. Not something expected when booking a decent hotel. Went to take a shower and there was only one towel (room for 2), called the front desk but the towels never showed up, had to get them myself. One of the rooms had dirty/stained ceilings, dirty/dusty a/c unit, mold on the corner and loose bathroom faucet. The other room was in much better condition. They were getting trying to get us another room but not before we had to leave for the evening. Wen we got back no one checked on us to see if we wanted to change rooms or how we were doing. At that point we had settled and did not feel like complaining any more. Only one elevator working. Not the best for social distancing. Rooms are spacious and very confortable, beds are great. I would not stay again or recommend this hotel.

The hotel is older. The shower room in the picture room is open, and the absence of a door causes too much moisture. The whole room was sprinted with moist odor, which was unpleasant in the long run. Do not really look at the so-called Ctrip, booking star standards. Many of the five-star hotels are pits! !! !! !! The rating is also pit! !! !! When choosing a hotel, you still have to choose a relatively new one, as well as a big brand hotel chain, at least not worse. The hotel barranqilla plaza next door is even worse, not even a few dozen yuan hotel. Booking is actually rated five stars, rated 8.4-9.1! !! !! Super invincible pit! !! Because it is not convenient to travel with products on a business trip, I stayed at the barranqilla plaza for one night and moved to this hotel next door. It is a little better but really not so good! !! Worst experience on a business trip. Please choose a new hotel, new! !!

The location of this hotel is good, the Extro supermarket is very convenient! The room is large but the facilities are a bit old, especially the toilet cover is turned over and it is blocked by the sink and immediately falls off! I live in an apartment, the air conditioner is too loud, and the windows are uncomfortable (Barranquilla is close to the river and the Caribbean Sea, the outside air is too humid) so I accepted it, and by the way, Barranquilla The airport is so small. There is only a single room with a locked door in the airport toilet. It ’s amazing!

First of all, everything is good and smooth so far. It's good service and the facilities. But unfortunately, I asked reception service about problem with leak the water from mini refrigerator and over water on the floor and please cleaning quickly. After that, never happened to show up yet. I just disappointed ☹️ about it. That's why, I put a one star about cleanness only! I did enjoy the food well. Definitely, my thoughts about it and I want to come back again in one day because it's best city view ever I have. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

This was the first of 3 hotels we stayed at over 6 nights. It is an older hotel but has been maintained. Only complaint we were not able to control the a/c unit in the room. They staff does speak English and are friendly and knowledgeable. They have an excellent Breakfast buffest each morning with was included in our rate. The roof top looks like they might be doing some work on. but is accessible , provides a view of Barranquilla *( best to see at night the city lights) . The pool is on the 3rd level with a bar area also ( not sure of the hours for the bar) is a decent size.

Hi! First of all trip advisor is to review the hotel by hotel guest. I was staying at this hotel that same night. My experience with the hotel facilities and the hotel service is above expectations. Also as a citizen of Barranquilla you well know that it was carnaval time and carnaval is a city event that is nationwide and worldwide recognize. For this reason the whole city will have during this days loud music everywhere until late hours. And as far as I know Caranaval is the pride of Barranquilla. And by the way that night what you heard was NOT GUNSHOTS it was fireworks. I just wanted to make this clear, so that the people don’t judge the hotel or the city by your comment.

This is the third hotel in Barranquilla my friends and i have stayed at this year. We picked this place because it was part of the city yet to explore. There area is where many Clinics are located so it is a bit busy , but was easy walking around explore. an easy walk was parque Venezuela which we visited at night time, it was busy with activity even at 7pm. The whole area felt safe during the day and at night. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Our stay included breakfast each morning , I found it a typical breakfast you find at hotels in Barranquilla. The location allowed us to make an easy day trip to Salgar for a day at the beach. This hotel was a very safe and comfortable place to stay.

This hotel is truly a diamond in the rough. Super quality and service. From the check-in and reservations people they are very helpful and informative. The girls at the front desk amazing and they are very happy to work here. Always a smile for everyone. The rooms are spacious and king size bed is the most comfortable in all of Colombia. Slept here better than my own bed. The room is decorated nice and is very clean. Cleaning lady should be commended. Aileen at front desk super and wonderful personality that speaks english. Restaurant/ bar on roof near pool is amazing. Everyone from Louisa and Jean Carlos to the security person was outstanding. I recommend this hotel highly to anyone that wants a nice comfortable hotel, Qwaint, and close to everything possibly you can do in the city. Very bad experience. We booked for the carnival in the autumn to make sure we had accommodation and tickets. The booking was with right of cancellation up to a week before, about 3 February. In January they started messaging me on Booking and whatsapp (the writer was two people who didn't communicate with each other, so I had to update both chats), threatening me that if I didn't pay the full amount within a few days they would cancel my booking. After much pressure we decided, reluctantly, to pay. After a week they set up a group chat on whatsapp (no one gave them permission), storming us with messages with the carnival programme and saying there were tickets for the hotel. When we arrived the lady at the reception desk told us that the tickets were gone, upon our remonstrances, she started to respond in a very rude and arrogant manner. She verbally attacked us that we had to buy the tickets first and that it was not their problem at this point. After that we went to the carnival and they tried to rob us immediately, tired of everything, we went back to the hotel (we hadn't even taken the room yet), we asked to leave and to get a refund since we had paid in advance despite the fact that the Booking rules clearly stated that we could cancel. Of course they didn't give us any refund. Very bad service.

I just ended a month’s stay in Barranquilla as a Diamond member of the Hilton Hotel and IHG’s Diamond Elite. I’m utterly in awe of the service I received at Estelar Alto Prado Barranquilla. The attention to detail, and the care given to each guest makes them without a doubt number one in Barranquilla. A first rate service in everything, the administration, reception, the rooms, the pool, and the restaurant and the attention to detail as I Mentioned Before, makes them unique in Barranquilla. I want to offer my warm congratulations to Mr. Jorge Michaels the hotel manager for his excellent job and the reception manager Mr. Yheis for making me feel important and as if I were home.

This hotel was completely disgusting, full of mould and damp throughout the hotel. The restaurant floor appeared not to have been cleaned for many months as the dirt was really ground in, the nets and curtains were also mouldy and filthy too. We had to change rooms twice due to the fact that my husband was struggling to breath due too the conditions. The gym was completely filthy and the breakfast was the same each day, and they did not have anything Vegan for me either. There was nothing nice about this hotel. The restaurant menu was dreadful, old and uninviting. The staff were slow to respond to any asks. The bath had obvious cracks in it, however they had just been painted over. This hotel needs a lot of money spent on it to firstly address the mould and damp issues. The replies to the reviews from the hotel stated that they were in the process of completing some maintenance work, almost 2 years ago, however this place has not been touched in any aspect for many, many years! AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU DON'T WANT TO POTENTIALLY BECOME ILL!! This hotel is down as a 3/4 star, but 1.5 at the very best. I have always been fair around my reviews, so for me to write this, it was absolutely dire 😔
